Happy Election Day, to all of my fellow American Friends!
I want to encourage those of you who visit here to VOTE TODAY, if you haven't already. In the past, I have mostly voted on Election Day, but in the last two elections, I voted early. It wasn't too long of a wait—maybe 20 minutes.
Our soldiers fought and died for our freedom and the right to vote, so it was my honor to vote to honor them and their sacrifice. Although I do not live in a swing state, I still feel every vote is truly important.
My prayer is that our country will return to virtuous, conservative values. As a Christian, I believe it is imperative that my vote is based on my core beliefs and Biblical principles that are found in the scriptures.
“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land” ~2 Chronicles 7:14
I will be glued to my TV today watching the results as they come in. If it gets too intense, I might have to turn it to a Christmas movie to destress for a minute or two... perhaps a classic, like Home Alone 2. (wink! wink!)
Of course, in all seriousness, I will be praying for this Election Day and the future of America... placing it all in God's Almighty Hands.
Have a GREAT day!
*God Bless the USA*,
Net
Hi Net,
ReplyDeleteYes, today is very important! I am certainly casting my vote. I fear for the future of our nation and it saddens me to see us so divided. I will pray today for a brighter future filled with hope. Hugs to you!
Joan, your words made me smile! I love you dear friend!
DeleteWe have a family tradition every voting night. We stay up late watching the polls and drink IBC club sodas and black cherry soda from glass bottles. And popcorn. And cheer when a state is won!!
Abigail,
DeleteOh my gosh! Your sweet comment made my day! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!! ♥ I love you too dear friend! I am so happy to hear I made you smile. π
Your election night family tradition sounds so comforting and fun! I think it is so important to hold true to traditions. I pray we are able to take back our country tonight. π
I hope there is a lot of cheering, in your home, tonight! And I pray we wake up tomorrow to a better future!! π
Hi Net, Joining you in prayer.
DeleteI voted early too, Net. I never used to, either, but couldn’t take the risk that something might happen today to prevent it. I’m praying that our country will return to Biblical values. Robert
ReplyDeleteMy prayers are with Trump and every conservative candidate across the country. May they all win and we finally get to have good people back in power again! -Maria
ReplyDeleteI believe as a U.S. Citizen we have the duty to vote, so I voted with my family on the first early voting day and was about 45 min, but moved along quickly and the people were all very nice. Then we went to Cracker Barrel, it was empty because of Halloween. Perfect timing!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything you said Net, our Pastors called for a prayer meeting yesterday night for today’s outcome. I’m going to be praying all day today for us to be a Christian nation again. Praying for God’s mercy. I’m praying for P. Trump’s salvation. He’s already had two attempts on his life, possibly more. God could use that hardship to save him. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if he was elected and became a believer of Christ!! Nothing is impossible with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Abigail,
DeleteYou made some excellent points! As U.S. Citizens, we have the duty to vote and there is no excuse for us to not vote. Our voices need to be heard. I too am praying for us to be a Christian nation again. π We need God more than ever.
Hey Net, I like your Home alone 2 movie idea :) I will be glued to the tv tonight too. But I remember what happened last election when I went to bed at 2 am and woke the next day. Praying for everyone and that there is no violence at all.
ReplyDeleteSabrina
I early voted for the first time, but I got straight in, no line. I’m so glad I did, cause I hear the line in my town is crazy long today. But I would wait all day in the rain if I had to. It’s worth it to me.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happens tonight, I’m praying for peace. Christie
Amen, Net!! Every time I vote, I'm always thinking of the patriots who sacrificed so much for freedom and liberty, and godly principles- it's pretty emotional for me, and I suspect, for lots of us here. Thanks to every one who has commented here, I feel blessed and humbled to be in such good company. Net, I always pray 2 Chron. 7:14, but am in overdrive today. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord! ...jenn
ReplyDeleteI've never been interested in assuming leadership myself. I've just focused on being the best-informed voter I could be. Historically, I always voted on election day "in case there were any last minute scandals." π Since the pandemic, however, and because I'm officially OLD ("with underlying conditions," as they say), I've voted by mail, as I did last week. I, too, will be glued to the TV tonight. God bless America!
ReplyDeleteVoted early here, too, and praying for the election.
ReplyDeleteRosie
There have been so many prayers for our nation with this election. Dr. Stanley said " our battles are fought on our knees". I will confess; I am battle weary. My prayers have been going almost non-stop for several months because I have been so burdened for our nation. I voted early too.
ReplyDeleteHearing so many have been praying is very encouraging! May God bless America again!
Well said, Net! Thank you for acknowledging our military and placing the election in God’s hands. We desperately need God in America again! πΊπΈ
ReplyDeleteI live in the outskirts of a corrupt and crime-ridden city in one of the most leftist states in our nation. It always feels like my conservative and Biblically-based vote/voice doesn’t count. And yet, I still go out and vote in every election. (Then I come home and do the most important thing… pray.) I get so frustrated when I hear of so many Christians in swing states who won’t vote because they don’t like certain things about a candidate; they feel a candidate isn’t quite holy enough or sinless enough to live up to their own personal perfection (eye roll). I say hold your nose and vote for the candidate that is actually against killing unborn babies and against mutilating children and encouraging them to change genders!! And be thankful that your vote might actually make a difference (how I wish I could have that vote!). Prayer is the most important thing we can do, but God also put us in this country where we have a duty to vote and it frustrates me to no end when supposed followers of God just throw away that duty. But it gladdens my heart to come on Net’s site and hear such encouraging words from all of you who love this nation and are voting and praying!! Such a comfort! Thank you! I’m praying along with all of you for God to have mercy on this nation, and for the changing of hearts and minds, and for an incredible reformation and restoration! And yet, no matter what the election results, we can have ultimate hope and comfort because nothing will surprise our God, and He is faithful and compassionate, and He still – and always - reigns!!!! ~~Jane
ReplyDeleteI have some distant family members who have that conviction to not vote for Trump. I said this before, but I do believe we have a duty to vote as US Citizens. Even if it means voting for the lesser evil, and that was my opinion for Trump. I would prefer a more conservative candidate, but I would take Trump over Kamala any day. I’m so glad it was an easy win!!
DeleteAmen Jane!

We have been praying so hard. Praise God that He hears us and is still blessing us! -Anonymous1
ReplyDeleteAbigail, Net and everyone,
ReplyDeleteOur prayers were answered! God is good!
Thank you ALL who shared in this historic moment here with us and prayed earnestly over this election- Joan, Abigail, Anonymous, Robert, Maria, Sabrina, Christie, Jenn, TV Senior, Rosie, kitkat, Allie B, Jane, and Anonymous1!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy, humbled, and grateful this morning. All Praise and Glory to God!!!!
I truly believe God spared President Trump's life in Butler, Pennsylvania, by a fraction of an inch, for this moment in time, and Pennsylvania was the final state that delivered the ultimate victory! God's timing is perfect!
The Lord has shown us great mercy. May we be worthy. Praying for peace going forward and healing for America.
God bless you all... and our Great Country!!!!!
It is a wonderful day my sweet friend Net. We did it. So happy we have President Trump back. I was so happy to see all his family and very close friends and confidants on stage last night. I love seeing the people that NEVER stabbed him in the back. That never left him even when it was rough and hard. So many went to jail and were political prisoners, cause they would not turn on President Trump. I am so happy for all of them and the family. God please protect President Trump.

You're very welcome! Watching it all unfold on Twitter was an incredible experience!! -Maria
Delete♥ ♥
DeleteAmen!!! Praise God! He's still in control!!
DeleteI’m so thankful to the Lord for His mercies last night!! I went to sleep with a good feeling as the polls seemed to be easy from the beginning! Praise God. And then at 2:30 AM we had a huge downpour of rain, we’ve been going through a drought. It felt like an additional gift from the Lord!! You could feel the Lord’s power in that rain!!!
ReplyDeleteDon’t you right now just want to jump up and down and give thanks to the Lord!!!
ReplyDeleteI’ve played the In God We Still Trust by Diamond Rio so many times today!ππΊπΈ
