Hallmark Media announces via People.com a new Christmas movie titled "Christmas on Call," starring Sara Canning (Holiday Road) and Ser'Darius Blain (Caribbean Summer), and a special appearance by Donna Kelce (mother of NFL players Jason and Travis, who also makes an appearance in the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story).
According to Hallmark, the story centers around "the lives of first responders in Philadelphia" who "intersect over the holiday season while juggling work, personal lives, and their dedication to protect and serve their city."
This movie will premiere part of Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas. Premiere date to be announced.
People.com further shares, "Ser'Darius Blain plays Wes, an EMT and devout Eagles fan who helps a new ER doctor named Hannah (Sara Canning) find her way around the city. Of course, no tour of Philly is complete without a cheesesteak, and their stop at a popular Philly cheesesteak spot leads them to meet Donna."

This obsession that Hallmark has Donna Kelce is so stupid. Perhaps hallmark should cast her as the lead on a movie next with her love interest being Tyler Hynes.
ReplyDeleteI’ll give most movies/shows a chance but this one seems a little blah to me….maybe because I don’t really connect with the actors?

Lol, this sounds exactly like County Rescue! So much for GAF always copying Hallmark, as some trolls outside of here say. -Maria
ReplyDeleteThat's hardly an original plot, Maria. There are many tv shows that did it way before GAF and Hallmark.
DeleteI agree with the Donna Kelce overload. I mean I am completely kelce overloaded with Jason and all his commercials and his brother and taylor.
ReplyDeleteBut more than that, this movie sounds depressing. 1st responders at the holidays? I guess I think when I hear 1st responders I think something depressing like someone hurt, drowning, etc. And I refuse to watch anything cashing in on the Chiefs being superbowl champs and the worlds favorite team at the moment. Or cashing in on Taylor, who is happy to fly her jet around the country and world but wants you to vote for the regime that wants the opposite for you.
I'm not a big football fan anymore. By making films centering around football, you're only appealing to part of your audience. I also couldn't care less about Donna, so will probably skip this one.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I grew up near Philly.
ReplyDeleteI’ll skip Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story & Christmas on Call
