  1. I’m really looking forward to watching this marathon with my daughter. She was too young to watch the first couple seasons when they first aired. I only wish they weren’t airing them through the night. That means I’ll have to record the episodes for us to watch later.

    1. Abigail, Thank you for the thoughtful birthday well-wishes! I had a wonderful, lovely day celebrating with my family and your sweet message added to my joy!!!

We had WCTH playing in the background throughout the day, but I was rather busy and didn't get to see too much until later in the evening. I'm sure you love those early years with Lori Loughlin and hearing your name. I so miss Abigail on there, but I don't think Lori will return at this point.

And, yes, those Hope Valley Days are quite fun! :)

    1. Mark, Yes, I had a Spring theme for my birthday, and of course it lightly snowed off and on throughout the day! At times, there was even some sleet. That's April for you in the Midwest, right?!?!

Anyway, it was lovely to watch the snowfall from the warmth of inside.

Thank you, my friend, for the birthday shout out!!!

Happy Late Birthday Net! I'm late to the party! I hope you had a great birthday with lots of cake!

I have been watching some of the WCTH marathon and forgot how great the older seasons were! Never be another Jack! Nathan nor Lucas can fill that spot. I forgot too how much I miss Abigail! Oh well! Days gone by!!

    1. Joyce, I have been remiss in thanking you for this sweet birthday wish. I did, indeed, have a wonderful birthday and delicious cake! (My grandmother's Million Dollar Pound Cake - my favorite!)

Also, I agree... those early days of Hope Valley were something special, and while I still enjoy seeing everyone and I especially love that it is family-friendly, the real hard times and struggles of those earlier episodes seem to be missing now. I miss that in the sense that I wanted to see how like truly was back then, and how people overcame those difficulties. Anyway, I guess we'll have to revisit earlier episodes to see that.

Thank you, again, for the birthday wish! :)

  11. I'm pleased for all the fans but it wouldn't be for me.

Hope you had a great Birthday, Net watching and had a nice big slice of gooey Birthday Cake.

If I ever did have the time the only 2 series I would re-watch in full are The West Wing and ER.

So many series get pulled mid-stream with no attempt to tie up loose ends but I have to say bravo to the networks in these two cases for giving the fans the respect they deserve.

While your favourite characters may not have gotten the ending you wanted at least everything was rounded off nicely - Florence

    1. Florence, Thank you also for this thoughtful birthday wish! I did have a delightfully yummy piece of cake and a scoop of ice cream! Typically, I'm a healthy eater, and I try not to eat too much sugar, so this was a wonderful treat. Birthday celebrations are always the exception.

You mentioned the TV series you have watched in full, and at this point, I have seen every episode of WCTH. There are some episode I would love to re-watch and others (Jack's passing), I plan to never watch again.

As for other series I have seen in full - that would be The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie (which is celebrating their 50th anniversary!), Monk, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Little Men, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, etc...

Since you mentioned the series, ER... I believe I've seen around 75% of ER episodes, here and there, but when Kellie Martin was written out of the show so dramatically, I kind of lost interest after that. It was so sad, and we loved her character with Carter.

I agree that some series don't end quite the way we want them to. Case in point, Cedar Cove. That series ended with way too many pieces of the puzzle undone. They really should've done a follow-up movie or something.

At least, Chesapeake Shores ended happily and thankfully, while Treat Williams was still here to spearhead the family as the patriarch, Mick O'Brien.

Thank you, again, Florence, for the warm birthday message! I so enjoy talking movies & TV series with you! :)
