Great American Media releases some fun Christmas movie news - the movie title for Actor Mario Lopez's upcoming Christmas movie!
It's been wonderful to see Mario sharing on social media some fun behind-the-scenes moments of himself, his wife, and his son on set (I included some images and a video below), and now it's great to see more details of this movie in the press release below.
Great American Media Press Release:
NEW YORK, NY – April 4, 2024 – Great American Family, the leader in quality, original faith-affirming programming, and a prolific producer of original Christmas movies, announces production is underway on My Grown-Up Christmas Wish, starring TV’s beloved Mario Lopez (“Access Hollywood,” “Saved by the Bell”) and Broadway star, Courtney Lopez (E! News, A Chorus Line). Joining his famous parents in the film is Dominic Lopez who will play Mario’s character “Brian” as a young boy. My Grown-Up Christmas Wish joins the 2024 all-star Great American Christmas lineup which also includes holiday films featuring Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Cameron Mathison, Jill Wagner, Lauren Holly, and Bruce Boxleitner, with many more stars and Christmas movies to be announced.
In My Grown-Up Christmas Wish, Mayor Brian Ortega (Mario Lopez) is beloved in the idyllic community of Long Grove. While decorating for Christmas with the residents, Brian discovers his childhood Christmas wish list which magically begins to come true, reminding Brian about the spirit and joy of the holiday. Returning to town for Christmas is Brian’s childhood friend Nina Meyers (Courtney Lopez), and soon a connection becomes undeniable as she helps Brian face a new challenge for the town. As Brian’s wishes come true, he inspires the town to showcase its warm culture and values in order to stop the modern world from stifling the charm and heart of Long Grove.
“We could not imagine better creative partners to join our Great American team than Mario and Courtney Lopez,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. “Mario and Courtney and the team around them are creative collaborators and absolutely devoted to telling stories that bring families together. The partnership is a Christmas wish come true for our company,” Abbott concluded.
My Grown Up Christmas Wish is executive produced by Mark Roberts, Jeff Stearns, and Jemma Jones. Directed by Brian Herzlinger. Based on an original screenplay by Brian and Megan Herzlinger.

While I am happy that they are continuing to announce Christmas movies. I wish that they would put their movies back on and dump Perry Mason. These black and white shows are bit something that I want to watch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet looking movie! -Maria
ReplyDeleteAre we going to see any religious Christmas movies on Great American Family?
ReplyDeleteAwww this one looks cute! Excited for GAF to continue adding actors to their roster.

Not related but I watched the new film on Hallmark Movies Now titled "Legend of the Lost Locket" featuring some cast from WCTH and other familiar faces. It was such a nostalgic watch, very much reminded me of Hallmark the way it was many years ago. Family friendly and the best Hallmark film I have seen in a long time.
ReplyDeleteLaura, Thank you so much for sharing this review for "Legend of the Lost Locket"! I am so happy to hear this one is family-friendly; I love how you described it as reminding you of Hallmark years ago. I was already intrigued by the story, but with your review, I'm sooo looking forward to seeing this one now.
DeleteAgain, Thank You!!! :)
Blessings, Net
Me too! I am so looking forward to that movie 😊

I happy about any movie announcement. I feel they are just making this and airing the Christmas ad to keep the movie fans happy. Next week and the week after are both showing the same weekday lineup in my channel guide. Fans are commenting they want the movies back.
ReplyDeleteI saw a comment on Facebook that someone said her xfinity guide is updated until April 18 with the same lineup. If that is true I am going to say there are going to be no movies airing this month. I am beginning to wonder if there will be any next month too. Right now all they only seem to be concerned about telling us is what Christmas movies are coming.
DeleteI think everyone is forgetting about the Writers Strike that went on for 6-9 months last year and beginning of
DeleteThis year. No writers, no Movies.. So we need to be patient. This too shall pass and then people will be complaining about too many Christmas Movies.
sounds delightful
