Movie Review:
π "Home for Harvest is family friendly. I saw it a couple years ago and just last loved it! I can't wait to see Home for a Royal heart. The story sounds adorable and so are her outfits, but honestly, I just adore her cheerful personality. Really makes the film more enjoyable when the actors are naturally kind. Hope you all have a lovely end to the summer and a cool colorful fall! Finally time for pumpkins!π God bless!" ~Abigail

Curt’s homemade cider makes of spices, sugar, honey, $ other ingredients to make an unique recipe. Grant tastes Curt’s cider; it’s really good. Curt asks Marley to stay with him to coordinate the weddings at the orchards, be a Wedding Planner, & here. Curt brings Marley, her favorite flowers from Sacha, their favorite peanut butter & jelly sandwiches on French Toast, Lime Soda, & her favorite cookies from the bakery on picnic proposal." ~Anonymous
π "Cider and Sunsets is a family friendly story. I liked the country feel and apple ochard. Such a wonderful supporting cast, especially the older couple who invite Marley to stay with them. They were so refreshing and fun. I wish there had been more chemistry between the leads, but it was still a very sweet movie." ~Net
π "Cider & Sunsets - I watched it this weekend and I really enjoyed it! I don’t recall seeing the leads in anything before but their connection was believable & the conversations they had in the orchard were nice, not just superficial stuff. Of course I loved the scenery and the orchard but my favorite might just be the couple Peter and Yvonne, they were so cute scheming trying to get the leads to meet up and hang out. I have seen Mary Long in a couple other movies and always love watching her." ~Paula

My *Quick* Take:
It's nice to see two of these movies are NEW Premieres from Reel One Entertainment, A Royal Seaside Romance (previous title: Home for a Royal Heart) and How to Find Forever. Hopefully, we'll see even more new movies from this production company on Great American Family at Christmastime.
And, it's great to see some of these movies are fall-themed!

I think most here will probably enjoy My Boss' Wedding - it's a solid, typical Rom.Com.
ReplyDeleteParticularly looking forward to Brittany Bristow and Dan Jeannotte.
I'm not going to make any comment on Home For Harvest but I am particularly interested to see what others here will make of it - Florence
Florence, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new movies... you really have me intrigued on Home for Harvest now! :)
DeleteHome for harvest it’s just airing on gac for the first time it came originally from uptv and is also on pureflix streaming app tubi ,freevee and up faith and family I seen it and had no issues with it
DeleteAre any of these movies original?? They all seem like UP movies,
ReplyDeleteThey probably seem similar to UP movies since two of the films (A Royal Seaside Romance and How to Find Forever) are from the same production company that UPtv often uses.
DeleteThese all look super cute. I've seen Home for Harvest around for awhile and always wanted to see it.
ReplyDeleteEm, I agree... can't wait to see all 4! :)
DeleteI've never seen Home for harvest, it looks the most appealing to me. I don't care for anything with the "Royalty" storylines in them. Last year I thought all the networks over did the whole royal themes, it seemed like every other movie was a prince or princess getting lost somewhere. I hope that's not the case this year. I'm very excited to see what GAC has in store this season. Also I wanted to thank you Net for the post a week or so ago on the new DVD releases, I preordered "Five more minutes" and "Much udo about Christmas". Thanks Net.
ReplyDeleteBeen looking forward to A Royal Seaside Romance ever since I saw the title on Reel One's website a few months ago. :) -Maria
ReplyDeleteA Royal Seaside Romance looks fun--with a great cast. She has been in a bunch of films and I know him from Good Witch. And some of the supporting cast is good too. The few people who have seen it already (released in June) really liked it. I wonder why it needed a new name?
ReplyDeleteThey looks promising.
ReplyDeleteGFAM is a safe haven for me! Love all their movies! Thank you Jesus for Bill Abbott and GFAM.
ReplyDeleteTrevor Donovan is in DWTS: Season 31 on Disney+, I hope his dance partner is Cheryl Burke
ReplyDeleteHow to Find Forever
ReplyDeleteI notice there’s Fall Themed Apple Trees
Someone could make apple turnovers. Apple crumbled cake, Apple Pies, Apple Spiced Cake, etc..
Holiday movie to be filmed at Nutwood Winery
ReplyDeleteAn upcoming holiday movie will soon begin filming at Nutwood Winery on Upper Big Springs Rd. in LaGrange.
Great American Family channel chose the local winery for its primary setting as much of the film revolves around wine, said Nutwood co-owner Trish Liechty.
The planned title for the romantic holiday film is “A Perfect Christmas Pairing.”
The Liechtys were recently able to finalize the deal for using the winery in the movie and bring the film production to Troup County. Several other locations around Downtown LaGrange are also being used in the movie. Pretty Good Books, Emberglow, Venucci and LaFayette Square are expected to be used as filming locations.
“They’re going to use the names Troup County and LaGrange in the movie, too,” Liechty said. “So that could potentially help bring visitors here.”
Filming for the movie is set to begin on Sept. 18, 2022
Liechty said the winery will likely not need to close outside of normal business hours because much of the filming can be done during the week when they are normally closed. The winery is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The movie is expected to premiere on Great American Family channel sometime in December.

DeleteTrevor Donovan dances with Emma during GMA for Dancing With the Stars on Disney+ will premiere on September 19, 2022
ReplyDeleteSomething you may want to know: A new movie called The Secrets of Bella Vista, which I presume will be a Hallmark movie, has a photo of what looks to be 2 female partners. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I see the picture you are referring to. The woman in yellow is also expecting, so that's interesting.
DeleteI meant 2 women who are 'together' together, that's what the photo looks like. May be a good idea to skip that movie. -Maria
DeleteMaria, Yep, I got your meaning there. Like they say, "a picture is a worth a thousand words." Course, we don't know for sure, but I get the same vibe. And, I'm so glad you mentioned this.
DeleteYes that film is definite no no. It shows two lesbian women at a baby shower in the photos. I'm grateful the problem was noticed before any of us watched it.
DeleteThe Secrets of Bella Visita is based on the book called; “The Apple Orchards”, by Susan Wiggs
DeleteHome for Harvest is family friendly. I saw it a couple years ago and just last loved it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Home for a Royal heart. The story sounds adorable and so are her outfits, but honestly, I just adore her cheerful personality. Really makes the film more enjoyable when the actors are naturally kind.

Sorry I forgot to sign in my name earlier. I wanted to mention, Home for Harvest(clean) is on Prime, no need to be interrupted with commercials.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless ❤
I hope GAC/GAFAM pick up the movies; Quest for Love, Treasures of the Heart, My One True Love, Beauty & the Billionaire, Wedding Cake Dreams, Love at the Lodge, etc..
ReplyDeleteOr UPtv.
ReplyDeleteThese all look good.
There seems to be a big increase in the number of Rom.Coms being produced.
Candlelight/ Sunworld definitely seem to have upped their output.
By a strange co-incidence we watched Beauty & The Billionaire last night.
It's very formulaic and the male lead is the type I normally don't warm to but I really enjoyed it.
Chris Reid is an actor I hadn't seen before but he's really good-looking! - Florence
Let' hope not UPtv. There are a few movies I would really, really like to see on DVD that they have aired and I believe they have the rights to put them on DVD.
DeleteLove Is A Piece Of Cake
My Birthday Romance
Plus One At An Amish Wedding
Christmas On 5th Avenue
Plus One At An Amish Wedding is really, really good. It played in Canada in June
But UPtv is too cheap to put the movies on DVD So even though most of the movies I listed played in Canada first before the States They have the rights to put them on DVD and they refuse which is extremely annoying.
Home for Harvest - Very family-friendly, sweet movie. I liked the relationship rebuilding between the two sisters and the pumpkin patch scenes were fun. The romance was a bit quick, but still cute! This seasonal movie is a nice addition to Great American Family's lineup.
