Movie Reviews:

πŸŽƒ "Pumpkin Everything is family friendly. It’s based on the book by Beth Labonte. Amy Fox is a Horror novelist returns to her hometown in Autumnboro, NH to look after her stubborn Grandfather named Tom Adams & his pumpkin themed store called; “Pumpkin Everything”.. While staying there she crosses paths with her High School old flame named Christopher “Kit” Parker from her past whose working with Amy’s Grandpa Tom’s own pumpkin themed store; “Pumpkin Everything”.He’s working with the owner of the Pumpkin Everything store, Tom Adams. When Tom’s Granddaughter named Amy Fox. returns to town to look after her grandpa and his store a romance with Tom was the last thing on her mind — but their shared history could be just what she needs. Amy wants her Grandpa Tom do residential DJ at Oakwood Retirement Village. Thomas “Tom” Adams wants to sell his Pumpkin Everything store to Kit Parker. Amy congrats Kit whose is currently owner of Pumpkin Everything." ~Anonymous

πŸŽƒ "Pumpkin Everything was family-friendly, but it dragged for a long time with the grumpy grandfather. It would definitely bore kids as it was not a light-hearted movie. It was not a fun escape movie. Also beware that there are multiple (non-Hallmark) commercials for prescription drugs with men kissing so make sure you use the super-fast forwarding speed for commercials on the DVR. It was quite explicit and impossible to miss." ~Anonymous

πŸŽƒ "Anonymous, I can't watch anything on Hallmark anymore unless I record it first so I can skip commercials and promos. I found Pumpkin Everything to be sad, and definitely not much celebration of Fall like I expected. Taylor Cole's acting was not as good as I expected either. Suppose I got too excited about this movie." ~kitkat

πŸŽƒ "For someone getting close to 70 quicker than I wanted to, Everything Pumpkin highlights some things that we have to struggle with. For me I’m glad that these issues are addressed. Not everything needs to be a ROM Com. Especially when they are overdone. Hopeing that upcoming Christmas movies aren’t all fluff but have some substance, especially when addressing what Christmas is all about." ~JoCo

πŸŽƒ "Pumpkin Everything is family friendly. It was nice to see a truly fall movie with tons of fall decor. The theme of wanting to care for aging parents and grandparents while trying to respect their independence was very well done and emotional. The movie was more about the granddaughter/grandfather relationship while the romance was on the side. Very sweet fall themed movie." ~melnewlife

Movie Reviews:

🍁 " "Autumn in the City" -- I'm not watching live, but I got curious, checked social media, and found multiple people mentioning homosexual content." ~Alicia

🍁 "Autumn I’m the city. FYI: 15 minutes in she meets a man serving pumpkin bread on the side walk. She ask him if he made it and he said no, but my husband did. They own the coffee shop." ~Anonymous

🍁 "Autumn in the City is not family friendly. About 15 minutes in we're introduced to two married guys who run a coffee shop/cafe together. My guess was that they would play an integral role as new friends and a local hangout spot for the new-to-town Aimee Teegarden, so I fast-forwarded to see if they popped up again and don't you know my guess was correct. The next scene with all of them together has the two guys giving her life advice and talking about when the two of them fell in love. So... I deleted that Hallmark wokeness and am moving on to other things on the dvr that I can watch and delete to make room for all the upcoming Christmas movies." ~~Jane

🍁 "Didn’t take long for Autumn in the City to go off the rails. Hallmark did it again. Has a Guy and his Husband running a coffee shop." ~JoCo

🍁 "Autumn in the City not family friendly." ~Anonymous

🍁 "Autumn in the City is not family friendly. Piper Grant moves into Abbie’s friend named Amelia’s apartment # 503 when an aspiring writer named Austin Edwards who crosses the hall apartment # 502. Piper is bouncing in between temporary jobs. Piper meet Will who serves pumpkin bread for sample when she ate it. Will’s Husband named Toby who owns Keystone Cafe. Toby gets Piper a pumpkin spice latte. Both Piper & Austin come across same path. Will & Toby encourage Piper & Austin to have picnic together unless delivery guy on the bicycle hands Piper & Austin a blanket & picnic basket. Piper is doddering a sketch from her portfolio. Austin writes children’s books; “A Magic Acorn”, with an illustrator named Piper. Ms. Snowburry says a company needs an established illustrator for the books but Piper is really good at it. Take a look before Piper leaves Snowburry Publishing. Austin’s Mom named Patricia hands her Son; Austin a personalized pen. Austin gets children’s books publish with “A Magic Acorn”, books. Patricia, Austin, Will, & Toby celebrate Piper’s 30th Birthday on rooftop. Will brings Piper’s Birthday cake." ~Anonymous

🍁 "Autumn in the City was going slow for me but then Hallmark just HAD to add a gay couple...SO TIRED OF THIS...not many movies on Hallmark these days i care to watch" ~Anonymous

🍁 "Someone already said this, but be warned that Autumn in the City has a gay couple about 15 minutes in. Piper is offered a sample of pumpkin bread on the sidewalk (do they even do that in NYC?), and she asks the guy if he made it, and he says, "no my husband did" then invites her into the bakery to meet him. That's when I turned it off." ~melnewlife

HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES
All premieres are 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths

Starring: Hunter King and Rhiannon Fish

Premieres: Sunday, October 2, 2022

Storyline: Fraternal twins Nikki (King) and Nora (Fish) are forced back into each other’s lives when they inherit a detective agency. As they solve a murder, they realize their differences may be their greatest advantage.

Movie Review:

πŸ”Ž "My mom and I watched Nikki and Nora Sister Sleuths tonight and enjoyed it. There is drinking as some had mentioned from the preview, but partially because some of the scenes take place at a cop bar (a source of information). I thought the characters were well developed and the clues to pick up on were good. If you pay attention, you just might solve it before the big reveal. As a side note- the nod to Nick and Nora Charles of The Thin Man murder mysteries (1930s-40s) was subtle but fun." ~Anonymous

πŸ”Ž " "Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths" -- I would say it's as family-friendly as any murder mystery! I enjoyed it overall, can't think of anymore to say without risking ruining it, and would watch if the series continued. For those who've experienced pain and trauma due to abuse of alcohol, I sympathize and understand that movie scenes including alcohol can ruin the enjoyment for you. In this movie, there are brief scenes at a bar complete with alcoholic drinks, as that is the law enforcement hangout spot, but there is no drunkenness shown or promoted." ~Alicia

πŸ”Ž "Nikki and Nora: Sister Sleuths was a good mystery movie, and it was family friendly for teen and up. There is mention of one suspect’s affair (obviously not in a positive light). I hope they make a second movie as I liked the characters. It also does not follow the usual Hallmark formula! I watched it with my mom and 13-year-old, and all of us enjoyed it." ~Anonymous

πŸ”Ž I just finished Nikki and Nora. Family Friendly, was I the only one or was anyone else disappointed by the ending. I don't what to spoil it for anymore who hasn't seen it yet, but the killer was my favorite character before... I guess because it's about sisters, they didn't want to cast love interests. ~Abigail

πŸ”Ž Abigail, It's so funny that you left this review - just a few days after I watched this movie for the first time, and I've been meaning to tell you (without saying too much and spoiling it for others) that I had the EXACT same feeling from watching it. The whole movie was rather interesting and enjoyable until the VERY END. I thought it might be one I'd watch again sometime, but after the revealing of who-dun-it, this one-time watch was enough for me. ~Net

The timing isn’t ideal, as it coincides with a long weekend visit from her daughter, Rita (Laporte), and Rita’s girlfriend, Emma (Scarrwener), who comes along with her uncle, Sam (Tupper) … Mindy’s former high school sweetheart she hasn’t spoken to in over three decades. Her ex-husband, Marc (Markinson), gets thrown into the mix at Rita’s request, adding to Mindy’s angst. *NOTE: I will not be promoting this film due to it's content.

Movie Review:

"Mid-Life Crisis is not family friendly. 15 minutes into the movie lesbian couple introduced and already kissed. Turning off as I write!! Do sick of this! I wonder how many of our Christmas movies will be ruined this year!!!" ~Joyce in Carolina

Movie Reviews:

🎡"I loved “Perfect Harmony.” I had to keep myself from full on sobbing at the end." ~Anonymous

🎡"Perfect Harmony is family friendly. Jack Chandler is Pop Singer & Barrett Woodward is a Poetry Professor must put aside their differences when their best friends named Naomi & Simon decide to get married. Jack & Barrett are working together as Best Man & Maid of Honor soon lead then to the duet of a lifetime. Jack & Barrett duet some songs: Total Eclipse of the Heart & Perfect Harmony. Barrett gets an old lyrics book out of Teddy’s Mom’s old desk. College Professor Barrett tells her student; Teddy Don’t forget to study poem. Jack & Barrett sing a duet “Perfect Harmony”, at their best friends’ Wedding Day." ~Anonymous

🎡"Watched "Perfect Harmony" and really liked it. I almost quit in the first 10 minutes but glad I kept going. Family friendly. It would be a keeper for my dvr but I need to make room for Christmas movies. I truly appreciated the more experienced actors & actresses in this movie (some of the younger, less experienced actors/actresses quite grate on my nerves -- thus why I haven't been totally thrilled with all the many GAC movies from the spring & summer that I've been powering through this past week to free up room on the dvr)." ~~Jane
