Actress Rhiannon Fish makes a *Splash* this weekend with TWO Movie Premieres - A Splash of Love on the Hallmark Channel and Sweet as Pie on UPtv! Which ONE will end up being the Sweetest? Which movie would you like to see this weekend?
Christmas in July movies will end this weekend on GAC Family and the Hallmark Channel. I'll be sad to see them go, but now we'll have a whole new season of Christmas movies to look forward to!
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will have a new non-murder style mystery this Sunday night with 14 Love Letters. It's a case of - 'who sent the historic love letters?' I'm curious to see who the sender might be???
Also, America lost a true TV legend this week, with the passing of actor, Tony Dow, from Leave it to Beaver. Somehow, I feel like I've lost a dear old friend. Do you feel that way, too? My parents grew up watching the show, and I grew up watching them with my family, too, in reruns. There's nothing quite like those funny and heartwarming family-friendly sitcom classics. FETV and MeTV will each pay tribute this weekend to Tony Dow (America's big brother, Wally) with their own special memoriam marathons.

Tony Dow Tributes
Leave it to Beaver
on fetv and MeTV
Sadly, actor Tony Dow (Wally Cleaver, the big brother on Leave it to Beaver) passed away this week on Wednesday, July 27th, from cancer. He was 77 years old. I personally still love catching those classic Leave it to Beaver shows in reruns. The series originally aired on TV from 1957 until 1963. There are so many valuable lessons that still can be learned in each episode. I am so grateful to have most of the Leave it to Beaver series on DVD from Amazon. They certainly don't make shows like it any more, where the children respect their parents and the parents lovingly care for and guide their children.
Jerry Mathers (Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver) shared this heartfelt message with Fox News Digital for his TV brother after his passing...
“He was not only my brother on TV but, in many ways, in life as well. Tony leaves an empty place in my heart that won’t be filled. He was always the kindest, most generous, gentle, loving, sincere and humble man that it was my honor and privilege to be able to share memories together for 65 years. Tony was so grateful for all the love and support from our fans across the world.”

I hope you all have a pleasant weekend and enjoy the new movies.
This weekend, I'm going to pick Sweet as Pie as the movie I'm most excited to see. All the images for the movie, especially the ones in the apple orchard, look rather appealing. I always seem to be drawn to the movies that take place in a country setting. Hopefully, it ends up being as sweet as it looks!
Please note: I have not pre-screened the new movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments.
We do have an early review for 14 Love Letters. Florence, who is a loyal follower here, shared this review with us:
๐✉ "Got the chance to see 14 Love Letters and the good news is that it is definitely family friendly. It seems that the movies Hallmark buy in never quite measure up to their own productions and half way through this seemed to be the case. Basically Kallie (Vanessa Sears) was receiving anonymous historical love letters in her mailbox and had to figure out who was sending them, there was also the subplot of a neighbour wanting to buy her home for the land to set up a riding stable and she didn't want to sell. It was hard to get into and plodded along and then it was as if someone suddenly turned a switch and the movie took off for the second half was really good. I remember Franco Lo Pesti from his UPtv movie The Story Of Love with Brittany Bristow earlier this year and he's certainly a hunk - I thought he and Vanessa Sears whom I was unfamiliar with teamed well. I knew right from the beginning who was sending the letters - or I thought I did - I was wrong!! Overall probably worth a watch. Florence's rating 4 for the first half, 8 for the second so a 6" ~Florence" (Thank you so much, Florence, for sharing this with us! I always love reading your reviews and getting your take!)
Do you have a movie pick for the weekend, or would you like to share your thoughts on the passing of the Leave it to Beaver star, Tony Dow? Please share in comments below...
I'll be tuning into the Leave it to Beaver marathons on Sunday afternoon and thinking of Tony Dow fondly. Tony's son, Christopher, shared this loving message on Facebook the day his father passed: "Although this is a very sad day, I have comfort and peace that he is in a better place. He was the best Dad anyone could ask for. He was my coach, my mentor, my voice of reason, my best friend, my best man in my wedding, and my hero." What a beautiful, touching tribute. My heart and prayers go out now to his dear family and friends.
My prayers are also with those in Kentucky dealing with horrific flooding and loss of life. Please take care and be safe, everyone, especially if you are near this area.
Blessings to you all, Net
