New Hallmark Channel Movie Announced with 2 Actors from ER...
Hallmark announces new romantic comedy, via Deadline.com, titled "A Second Chance At Love" starring Alvina August, Jarod Joseph, (pictured above on the right) and ER alums, Gloria Reuben and Eriq La Salle (pictured above on the left).
This is the storyline given at Deadline: "In A Second Chance At Love, on the surface, Alicia (Alvina August) and Arnold’s (Jarod Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant to the idea. Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed “love doctor,” immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (Eriq La Salle) and Brenda’s (Gloria Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app."
"A Second Chance At Love" is slated to premiere Saturday, March 26 at 8 PM on Hallmark Channel.

ReplyDeleteDanica McKellar Reveals If She Will Return to Hallmark for ‘MatchMaker Mysteries’
ReplyDeleteDanica McKellar signed an exclusive contract with GAC Family, which means she will be making rom-com movies for the new network rather than for Hallmark. However, an unanswered question that fans have been asking is whether or not the contract precluded her from making new movies for her “MatchMaker Mysteries” franchise. In a series of social media posts, McKellar revealed that she would still return to Hallmark for the “MatchMaker Mysteries” series if that ever became an option, and she encouraged fans to contact the network and let them know they wanted more movies in the series.
She Said Hallmark Decided to Stop Making the ‘Matchmaker’ Series, But She Would Love to Return
On Twitter, Traci Briann asked McKellar if she would be making any more “MatchMaker Mysteries” movies. McKellar replied that Hallmark had decided to stop making a lot of mystery movies, including hers, but she would love to return.
She wrote, “They decided to stop making them last summer, along with many others! 🤷♀️ Let them know how you feel; I’d love to make more mysteries – alot of us would. 🤗”

I figured they probably canceled the "MatchMaker Mysteries," too. We've all talked it about it before, when it was announced that they cancelled "Hailey Dean" and "Picture Perfect Mysteries," but it's really frustrating how they've started so many of these mysteries and just ended them abruptly. This is just another Hallmark disappointment.
DeleteNet, this is so disappointing! Matchmaker Mysteries was more of a light mystery with funny moments. Victor Webster and Danica were so good together. Happy I recorded those.
DeleteNot into this one at all.

the second chance movie sounds promising.

Hallmark Makes It Happen! Gloria Reuben and Eriq La Salle Reunite for First Time Since ER
ReplyDeleteThis is one area where feel-good network Hallmark Channel really shines. Over the holidays, they reunited fan-favorite Desperate Housewives couple Teri Hatcher & James Denton for Hallmark’s A Kiss Before Christmas. We also got to see The Wonder Years’ Winnie Cooper & Wayne Arnold (Danica McKellar & Jason Hervey) together again in You, Me & the Christmas Trees.
The reunion continues on Hallmark Channel in A Second Chance at Love. Premiering in the March, the movie will reunite ER’s Eriq La Salle & Gloria Reuben for the first time since starring (with George Clooney!) in the popular NBC medical drama where they played Dr. Peter Benton & physician assistant Jeanie Boulet.
“We are so excited to reunite Eriq & Gloria in this all-new movie. With 20 years passed since they last appeared on the screen together, this heartwarming romcom will showcase their undeniable chemistry – a treat for viewers ready to see this television reunion.
When asked about the film, La Salle said, “I’m excited to work with Hallmark again and reunite with Gloria.”
As a first-timer with Hallmark Channel, Reuben said, “It’s wonderful to join the Hallmark family and to reunite with Eriq after so many years, especially in a completely different genre of storytelling!”

PS They’ve forgotten about Chad Michael Murray & Torrey DeVitto as Lucas Scott & Nanny Carrie, they’re both starred in One Tree Hill reunited in Write Before Christmas
Also Jack Wagner & Josie Bissett were both star in Melrose Place as Peter Burns &. Jane Andrews-Mancini, they reunited to Star in Wedding March franchise as Mick Turner & Olivia “Livvy” Pershing, and then she guest star as AJ Foster with Jack Wagner as Sheriff/Judge Bill Avery in WCTH: Season 7.
DeleteSurely Hallmark could show us some respect and just issue a short statement saying "We have decided not to continue any more movies for the following Mystery Series......" - Florence
ReplyDeleteFlorence, 100% agree! However, I don't anticipate that will happen. Out of respect for their viewers and the actors involved, they should let us know. Most likely, they fear backlash, so they simply prefer to let the actors know quietly behind-the-scenes.
