Recently, in an Instagram story, Candace Cameron Bure shared she would be filming later this year a Drama for the Hallmark Channel titled The Kite, which she anticipates won't premiere until 2022.
Hopefully more will be revealed when it's time for filming this fall. It's interesting that she labeled it a drama, since Lacey Chabert's latest premiere, "Sweet Carolina," was also a departure from the Hallmark Channel's typical lighthearted movies.
Here's a screen-capture of Candace sharing this news on Instagram:
In the meantime, if you are looking forward to seeing Candace on Hallmark, you can look for her this June on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries in the next installment of "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Til Death Do Us Part." See details and movie images - here.
Candace also shared when she was on QVC promoting her new clothing line, she will also be filming a NEW Christmas movie this year for Hallmark. I think we all expected that, but it was still fun to hear her actually confirm it.
Hope you enjoyed this movie news!
Blessings!

Will Candace Cameron Bure's Christmas movie for 2021 be a sequel to her previous Christmas movies that she made?
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling it will be something new.
DeleteI wish they would do more on the drama channel so i can NEVER watch the regular channel and will have something to watch when HMM is playing all the murder movies. I fell asleep the other night and woke up and murder she wrote was on, well i was having a dream that i killed someone (I didnt see myself kill the person, everyone said i did and they had a knife). Murder she wrote had just come on the theme song woke me, so I was dreaming about the previous HMM "Mystery" movie and i was the murderer? I was disturbed when i woke, and my husband had the living room TV on really loud watching To Kill a Mockingbird. I was thinking I need something else to watch other than murder HM.
ReplyDeleteSo I hope this and The POstables movies will bring more to Drama and more options for us that dont want Woke HM and murder HMM.
Sabrina, oh no... that's not good. You became part of the mystery. Your dream sounds a little like the Aurora movie A Very Foul Play - when Philip is the one holding the knife when the lights go down. It would be nice to have a new mystery without murder, but that always seems to be the focus.
DeleteI think we're going to have to accept that Hallmark is going to be a totally fifferent entity in the future than what we have been used to.
ReplyDeleteI became an addict simple because of their "typical lighthearted movies".
Unfortunately in the past year or so they have moved rapidly in a direction I'm not happy about and in churning out a significantly greater number of movies than even a couple of years ago imo the quality has decreased significantly at the expense of quantity.
Perhaps this will be the Mysteries and Movies Channel but Sweet Carolina was on the main channel.
Previously they did seem to take their viewers opinions into account but this no longer seems to be the case.
Last Christmas was an example - yes there were a number of outstanding ones but the majority wereno better than average.
I really feel we're coming to the end of an era and it saddens me.
I think you're right - there are changes coming, and I don't think all changes will be good. We will have to keep a look out for one another.
DeleteCandace wrote in her Instagram story that this new movie will be on the Hallmark Channel, but that could easily change.
It's also nice to see other channels provide family friendly rom-coms, and hopefully, those will only get better and more frequent.
What is sad is that they take into account people that dont even watch Hallmark, people that just want to complain about so called diversity in the movies. But they dont watch anyway, just complain. Now with Michelle Vicary out, I know they are changing for the worse. People want to push the same sex movies, but then the ratings dont reflect that people want that, so they just sweep under the rug. The Mediterranean movie this year was one of the lowest ratings, christmas house was low ratings. But i guess they love their new fans that dont even watch the movies anyway but want to complain.
DeleteWhat’s happen to her Hallmark movie called; “A Summer Down Under”, will be filming in Australia that her family never been there before
ReplyDeleteThat's a good question. Doesn't sound like it's happening anytime too soon.
DeleteMy copy of the Aussie release of Aurora Teagarden Mysteries
ReplyDeleteCollection Four DVD arrived in the mail a few days ago. Pretty quick turn around from ordering to receipt
Love her movies.
ReplyDeleteI've heard through the grapevine, they may be concentrating more on drama and less rom-com in the future. We shall see.
I'm sure you saw that Michelle Vicary has left, too.
