  1. I was hoping after seeing the commercial hallmark was playing for mothers day movies they would play what they showed during the commercial, but they aren't. I saw The Color of Rain shown, as well as A Gift of Miracles, but neither of those are playing. So guess I will be watching HMM Saturday and sunday. Not really sure what Pearl in Paradise has to do with mothers day, or Royal Matchmaker. But anyhoo, Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers.

    1. My thoughts exactly, Sabrina! I mean, I really like all of those classic Hallmark movies, but I was kinda hoping the Mother's Day celebration would include movies that are more about Mother's. I can think of lots of Hallmark Movies that have strong Mother roles.

When I saw the commercial you mentioned, I thought the same thing... we are going to see those movies, but I guess not.

At least Hallmark Drama does have "Mother's Day on Walton's Mountain!"

    1. Yes, those are nice Mother's Day themed Hallmark movies.

"Love Takes Flight," starring Nikki DeLoach, Jeff Hephner, and Barbara Niven was also another movie that celebrated Mother's Day.

Unfortunately, none of them are airing this weekend on TV.

However, "Just the Way You Are" will air May 21st at 7pm/6c. on Hallmark Drama.

      and...

"Love Takes Flight" will air May 22nd at 9pm/7c. on Hallmark Drama.

I don't see an air date for "Mom's Day Away," and Amazon typically has the DVD for it, but it's currently sold out. However, you can stream it on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/2LdaE4I

  3. Love at Daisy Hills

When Jo (Cindy Busby) realizes that her family’s general store in Daisy Hills (built by her late mother) is losing profit, her father Duke (Paul Essiembre) calls in a favor to help out the store. Unfortunately, Duke’s help is Jo’s ex-boyfriend, Blake (Marshall Williams), former Daisy Hills native-turned-New York business consultant. They argue over the approach to saving the store: Jo understands the personal touch needed for a small town while Blake focuses more on how to make a profit. Eventually, they reach a compromise and find themselves falling back in love. But when Duke suffers a heart attack, the store’s future comes into jeopardy forcing Jo and Blake to make a decision about their future too

    1. The trailer for this movie is so super cute, plus I love Cindy Busby and Marshal Williams! I, too, am hoping Hallmark will pick it up! This looks like it would fit in nicely with Summer Nights! Just sayin!

And... if Hallmark needs something for Fall Harvest, I'm hoping they will air "Autumn Stables" with Cindy Busby and Kevin McGarry. I have seen it through Hallmark Movies Now, but I just know more Hallmark viewers would love to see it on the Hallmark Channel!

I'm so glad that even though Hallmark hasn't been able to film, they still have lots of wonderful options!

  5. Net, I like your statement, "who better than the POstables to deliver a message of love, than on Mother's Day weekend!" I called my Mom and told her to watch and now we are watching separately, but together.

  9. I have watched many of the Love Comes Softly movies separately, and didnt always realize the connection between each, but this weekend I watched all of them in order, they are such good movies. I love how each character comes into the mix, the love of a child whether it is your own biological or not, the way the people didn't have much and if they got a cold it was scary, such a wonderful series. I am actually listening to the books starting with Love Comes Softly, can already tell there are a lot of difference, but the message still the same. I thought I loved the most the story of Marty, but Missy, I just adore her and her fathers special bond. So happy I watched these all this weekend.

    1. Sabrina... That's right, the early "Love Comes Softly" movies are closer to the books, but the later stories are quite different. A reoccurring theme in the movies, is the wife losing her husband, which does not happen as much in the books.

My aunt gave me the first 3 or 4 Love Comes Softly books in a set for Christmas several years ago, and I just fell in love with them and continued to read book after book in the series. I was ecstatic when Hallmark brought the series to life on their network. I do wish they could've followed the stories closer, but I still enjoyed each film.

I also loved the bond between Missy (love her spunk!) and her father. Dale Midkiff is such a wonderful actor... would love to see him on Hallmark again.
