En route, her train is delayed in the small, quaint town of Grandon Falls, nicknamed “Christmastown.” When Lauren meets the handsome handy-man Travis, his young foster son Dylan and searches for a long-lost beloved family heirloom, she extends her stay. During the festive and family-focused days before Christmas she gets an unexpected opportunity and contemplates a life-changing decision, realizing that Christmas – and Grandon Falls – has a way of making miracles happen.

    1. I agree, Susan! "Christmas Town" is such a beautiful story, very heartfelt. It made me think of all the children who need an adoptive family and how many children never find one. I hope it opens up more people to the idea of adoption.

    1. I loved this part of the story, too. Beautifully done. Candace and the little boy, Jesse Filkow, who played Dylan, were truly phenomenal on screen together. They had such a sweet connection.

    2. What a beautifully written movie!!! Such a touching story that had me in tears! I love the foster and adoption aspect of it so it can bring awareness and nudge a lot of hearts to take a step. If I'm being super nitpicky, I was just not a fan of how Lauren broke up with Eric in the first place, who seemed like such a great boyfriend who loved her. I think he deserves a face to face conversation in the beginning, not just a letter. All in all, a beautiful story with a lot of hearts! Absolutely adore Tim Rozon and Jesse Filkow in this... they both were amazing, as was Candace of course!

    1. I wondered that, as well. Maybe he just needed a little push or a sign? In the end, he says he wants to be part of this family.

  8. This movie had a great theme of foster care and adoption...that made the movie truly interesting! I have to say by the end, I was left wanting more. I felt they could have gone more in depth with the plot! And the main romance. Would love to see more Hallmark movies that explore important themes like this one.

    1. I agree and I am even though a teenager trying to get to hallmark to have them do a follow up which they normally don’t but seen how this is the best one they have had I could see them doing it soon.

  9. Anyone know Dylan’s age and Jesses age? Now he is about 15 in 2020 given the age in the movie it is hard to believe since he would have had to have been 11 or 12 years old.
