Hallmark Channel's New Fall Harvest 2019 Movie Guide...

image: Hallmark Crown Media

I wanted to post this update today for Hallmark Channel's Fall Harvest programming to be sure everyone following here was aware two of the previous films promoted for this upcoming block of Fall Harvest films - do not, at this time, have an air date. Hallmark has removed Love Under the Olive Tree starring Tori Anderson & Benjamin Hollingsworth and Country at Heart starring Jessy Schram & Niall Matter from their current schedule. Please note: this could change again, at any time!

I know many of you are as disappointed as I am that these two movies will not be airing on the Hallmark Channel this September and October as previously was announced. When I learn any details, I'll be sure to post further updates.

For now, Hallmark Channel's Fall Harvest schedule includes these 3 New Movies:

Over the Moon in Love

Premieres: October 5, 2019
With her match-making business on the verge of closing, Brooklyn finds herself in the unique position to be featured in a magazine, but has to set up the writer with her childhood friend Devin. Stars Jessica Lowndes and Wes Brown.

Love, Fall & Order

Premieres: October 12, 2019
When Claire goes home to save her dad's annual Fall Fest on her family's pumpkin farm, sparks fly with an old rival – the opposing lawyer she now faces in court. Starring Erin Cahill and Trevor Donovan.

(*Hallmark's third Fall Harvest film is a Good Witch movie. Please note: Due to my own personal beliefs, I do not promote this movie/television series here.)

Have a Blessed day! Net

From Love Under the Olive Tree to Autumn Under the Olive Tree

From Country at Heart to Country, Autumn Love or something

    1. Let's hope they can find time to play everything, instead of moving them to their streaming service... so everyone can still watch them!!!

    2. Nope, stick those Fall Harvest Movies on HC

Everyone could watch Fall Harvest Movies: Love Under the Olive Tree, Over the Moon in Love, Country at Heart, Love, Fall, & Order will premiere in October on Hallmark Channel but not steaming service

  2. Thanks so much, Net. So, there are truly only two Fall Harvest movies (I don't include GW either)? That is so strange. Love Under the Olive Tree and Country at Heart sounded wonderful, as I am a huge fan of Jessy Schram and Tori Anderson (loved her in Return to Christmas Creek). This seems so bizarre. As much as I love the Christmas season/movies, autumn is definitely my favorite and their Fall Harvest movies over the past few years have been wonderful and I was looking forward to them especially after what I thought was a rather lackluster Summer Nights event. Ho Hum. We will all stay tuned. Thanks again, Net!!!

    1. Hello Barbara! Thank you so much for the sweet message! You are such a dear movie friend and supporter here. I, too, was really looking forward to this Fall movie lineup. Like you, I also like the two actresses... I mean, how cool was it to see Jessy Schram from "Harvest Moon" in an all new Fall Harvest movie?... Well, it was cool, until they took it away.

It was shaping up to be such a great block of Fall premieres. I truly cannot understand this reasoning of removing these two films, especially this late in the game.

I so appreciate your comment. I'm glad we can all keep a look out together!!!

  4. This is just...odd. I've thought for a while now Hallmark thinks of Fall Harvest movies as an afterthought and this isn't doing much to sway that opinion. I was really looking forward to both movies that were pulled

    1. I agree, this is very odd. Completely unexpected. I, too, was very much looking forward to both of these movies. I keep hoping they'll bring them back, but... I don't know. Obviously, we never know... Anything, at this point, is possible.

  5. It just seems to me once thry saw lifetime lineup for Christmas, everything else has been pushed out, thry would rather put all resources in being #1 for Christmas, id rather have quality stuff then being #1.

    1. Hi Sabrina! I'm beginning to wonder the same thing, although it looked like a perfectly fine slate of movies for Fall until they removed these two. I still cannot fathom the reasoning. Very puzzling and not a great launch into Christmas, if you ask me, to do this to devoted Hallmark viewers.

    1. Yeah, they really didn't make any big announcements, did they? I mean, Niall Matter mentioned at the Summer TCA he was going to film "Country at Heart," but Hallmark didn't put out any press releases for Fall Harvest.

  7. I asked Hallmark on Instagram about Fall Harvest Movies:

    1) Over the Moon in Love
    October 5, 2019
    Jessica Lowndes & Wes Browns

    2) Love, Fall, & Order
    October 12, 2019
    Trevor Donovan & Erin Cahill

    3) Love Under the Olive Tree
    Tori Anderson & Benjamin Hollingsworth

    4) Country at Heart
    Jessy Schram & Naill Matter

Hallmark told me that those Fall Harvest Movies will premiere in October 2019: Over the Moon in Love, Love Under the Olive Tree, Country at Heart, & Love, Fall, & Order

Hallmark will find new dates & times to watch Fall Harvest movies: Love Under the Olive Tree & Country at Heart this September for Fall Harvest premiere in October

    1. I appreciate you sharing this information. I hope they can squeeze "Love Under the Olive Tree" and "Country at Heart" into the October schedule, but if they were planning to do so, I can't imagine why they remove them from the Fall Harvest block of films. Maybe... they are still trying to decide when and where to play them.

  12. They have just been changing up so many things. For some unknown reason a few weeks ago they started playing The Middle again in place of I Love Lucy. I like the Middle and was happy to watch getting ready for work, a nice change from the continuous I Love Lucy shows over and over. Well today I wake up and its Lucy again, but yet the guide says The Middle. I mean really why put the Middle on for a few weeks and change again? I just feel they owe us some kind of explanation. I did not watch Forever in Love, I am just over these movies and not getting the Fall movies.

If they don't play Country at Heart, we probably wont see that til next fall (if they don't just cut fall out). we really are only getting 14 days of fall, cause that Sat and sunday the 19th and 20th are yet another Christmas preview.

I know Hallmark isn't saying anything about this and when people send them a message about being upset, they just turn it around and say thank you for watching. I mean why on earth would someone download the Fall schedule sheet they have, there's 2 movies on it, why waste the paper. But thank you so much Hallmark for playing yet again A Summer Romance, I changed the channel to HMM this weekend, watched Mystery Woman.

I haven't even watched the last 2 episodes of Chesapeake Shores, I am just so disappointed. we were supposed to be getting 6 episodes and the 2 hour movie, but no movie yet. it just makes me think they just don't want to do it. 6 episodes of a show? I barely get into watching and then its over, and then they make us wait til after Christmas is over and probably til the winter TCA to even say if the show will be renewed. And I will not have Hallmark on Saturday, sorry but When Hope Calls is supposed to be on streaming so they should leave it there. Its a major bait and switch, get people to watch a show then tell them rest is on a streaming service. That makes me think it must not be doing that well and they are trying to boost it. well, I wont even have it on at all. Thanks a lot Hallmark.

    1. I’m with you Sabrina! I’m very disappointed with Hallmark right now. I look forward to the Fall Harvest movies as much as the Christmas ones and to know the lineup is only two movies...TWO?! So ridiculous! What’s even more upsetting is they pulled Love Under the Olive Tree and Country at Heart to play a rerun of Lacy’s movie and When Hope Calls. Totally a bait and switch like you said. I follow them on Instagram and lots of viewers have expressed their disappointment in these decisions and Hallmark won’t address them. It’s like they dont even care what the viewers want. Sadly, I’m boycotting the Hallmark Channel for the next two weeks. 😔.

    2. Sabrina -- I posted a reply to you a couple that might have gotten lost in the Spam folder or something, as it never appeared. I wanted to try to post it again, just in case you or anyone else didn't know and somehow missed this info.

During the recent takeover of Hallmark's Instagam page by Laci J. Mailey, Meghan Ory & Emilie Ullerup (it was just within the last week or two), they said in replies/comments to questions that the "Chesapeake Shores" movie is happening. It will be filmed in Ireland instead of in Rome (as was originally announced), and they hope to start filming it in the new year.

The girls did not give any indication as to when the CS-Ireland movie would air, BUT Laci Mailey kind of vaguely hinted that it could possibly be a Christmas movie, or maybe it will at least include a portion set at Christmas time. My hunch/guess is that the "Christmas" portion of it might not be definite yet, and that the plan could change so that it has a different theme, but supposedly it IS going to film.

HOWEVER... I am annoyed with all of Hallmark's other scheduling antics, with Christmas movies, with Fall Harvest, with yanking "In the Key of Love" from the schedule 4 days before it was due to air and then putting it on a streaming app that many people don't have, etc. It's all too much.

BUT, that said, for me, personally, my issue with Hallmark's scheduling is NOT that it leaves ME without something to watch on 5 Saturdays of the year. I have plenty of other things to watch on other channels, and plenty of non-TV things to catch up on. I'll be fine if they want to skip 5 Saturdays and not air movies. I can fill my time in other ways on the nights they don't show new movies. No big deal.

STILL.... my issue is with HOW Hallmark handles their frequent, annual schedule changes, and the resulting confusion and inconvenience they cause for many people (beyond just viewers). It troubles me that they don't seem to notice or care that they continue to make changes AFTER they have already announced and promoted things. I don't know of any other network that handles things that way. And then sometimes Hallmark's changes don't reach all departments at the same time, so their social media accounts might post incorrect info or dates that are no longer valid (which happened yesterday).

I just think... there must be a better way for Hallmark to handle these things. There's got to be a way to pick a schedule and stick to it, OR at least NOT advertise anything until the details are finalized.... because they are confusing viewers and inconveniencing the casts & crews of their own movies who want to promote their work, AND inconveniencing all of the bloggers/podcasters/reviewers/interviewers/media who are trying to cover Hallmark's content (free publicity for the network) and arrange their own schedules (for example, previews, interviews and reviews) around what Hallmark is doing.

There's got to be a better way. That's all.

    3. I always enjoy their Fall Harvest too!! They're some of my favorites. Hopefully they'll show up soon. :)

    4. Oh thank you Anonymous for that CS movie info, that's great news. I did listen to ALL the Chesapeake Shores books on Audible, I know the show doesn't really go off the books, it is actually way off the books but I am fine with it. They should say they are "loosely, very loosely" based on the books. In the books, they all have different love interests, Martin was real, but Bree, Jess fall in love with men they either dated before or have known almost their entire life. But I do love the show CS cause I like that it is different, I didn't like at first but I kind of feel this is just its own show and I like seeing different.

Any way, my point, there is a book where all the O'Briens go to Ireland for Christmas. So I would love for this to be a Christmas movie, and I LOVE it being in Ireland. The books are so good, when they go to Ireland, one of the O'Brien's meets a love and Gram gets a love from it too. I am so excited for this movie :)

    5. One other thing, I will say I know Hallmark loves us viewers, and their lack of mentioning anything just makes me wonder if something is going on that we just don't know about and they don't want to talk about. Not saying this is it, but what if there was an issue with one of the movies, not sure what but something that legal dept said you need to change this before you play and that is the delay. There has to be something.

But I am with you Melissa I wont be watching When Hope Calls, and somewhere deep inside I just feel that Fall Harvest was never meant to be anything big this year cause they never promoted and barely talked about at summer TCA, I remember a few years ago, they were heavy on promoting Fall at Summer TCA, Harvest Love was promoted heavily at the summer TCA that year, and others were too. Since they didn't announce anything via press release, I figured they were going to put everything in Christmas. I am just sad about it cause I was extremely disappointed with just about every movie since Countdown to Summer started, the best movie since May 1st has been Sister of the Bride and every other movie was pretty much awful. I kept telling myself to get thru the summer movies, and the summer Florida heat cause I will get a wonderful Fall Harvest, then Christmas movies, so I guess I built it up so high, which makes it easy to disappoint.

And I just can't help by feel if there were WCTH actors in Fall Harvest they would be full feature. I so much feel Hallmark caters to certain fan bases, much more than others. I don't like that they do that, we are all Hallmark fans and we should all be important.

    6. Maybe, possibly, Hallmark ran into trouble in the post-production stage -- like perhaps some footage was damaged or compromised, or maybe something has to be fixed that will take longer than they expected.

But in my heart of hearts, I really don't think they ran into post-production problems for TWO movies in the same Fall Harvest event. I really think they just decided to pull the movies to do something else with them.

Even before the "In the Key of Love" fiasco this year, Hallmark did a similar thing with the movie "Valentine's Again," if you recall. It filmed in late 2016 as a Hallmark movie. It was promoted as a Countdown to Valentine's Day 2017 movie. It was included in a Winter TCA 2017 press release about the CTVD. Nicky Whelan attended that TCA to promote the movie. A page for it was created on the Hallmark website. A clip from "Valentine's Again" was even included in a CTVD promo for TV.

And... "Valentine's Again" completely vanished from the CTVD 2017 line-up. It eventually vanished from the Hallmark Channel website too... only to end up on the Hallmark Movies Now service in January 2018, with a different title!

The incident with "In the Key of Love" this year was similar to what happened with "Valentine's Again." It was promoted as a June Weddings movie, then moved to early July. It was on the Hallmark website. It was included in a preview special. And then it vanished from the schedule -- only to end up on HMN!

So I am sensing a pattern here. When movies are promoted and advertised by Hallmark, and are scheduled to air but then totally vanish from the schedule, there is a good chance they could end up on Hallmark Movies Now.

Another possibility is that Hallmark could put one of the lost Fall Harvest movies on HMN and give the other one to the W Network in Canada. Since May, W Network has premiered 4 movies that have never aired on any of Hallmark's channels, although they are being included and promoted by W as part of the Countdown to Summer, June Weddings, Christmas in July and Summer Nights. Earlier this month they even aired "In the Key of Love," although it has never aired on the actual channels here in the U.S.!

Since W Network has some sort of contract with Hallmark to air their content, it is entirely possible that part of the deal was for Hallmark to give them movies to exclusively premiere as well -- and one of the lost Fall Harvest movies could end up there.

    7. Hey Sabrina, Anonymous, and Rissi...

I think we are all trying to figure out what happened here. I'm with you, Anon, it couldn't be complications with two movies over production, could it?

I recall for one day or so, "Country at Heart" was on the schedule with "Love, Fall and Order" and "Over the Moon in Love," along with "Love Under the Olive Tree" were the two movies that were gone. But then, before we could blink... those two titles - "Country at Heart" and "Over the Moon in Love" switched places.

I'm personally thinking this may be a push to get more subscribers on Hallmark Movies Now and these two films will be placed there. I mean, why else would they be doing this preview tonight of "When Hope Calls?" It's to entice more people to join. And, I know many would love to, if they could do a streaming service, while others cannot afford the extra expense.

I personally went with the free trial, not knowing if it would work, but then I was surprised to see how great it worked on my Ipad, so that's how I'm viewing it. I'm now doing the 5.99 per month option, and my plan is to end it at the end of October when "When Hope Calls" ends.

"When Hope Calls" was announced from the very beginning to be for their streaming service, so that is fair, but to announce something is going to be on the Hallmark Channel, then remove it suddenly and put it there, is not.

I also noticed the second Psych movie that was supposed to air this Christmas season on cable TV, has been moved to premiere next year on... Wait for it... wait for it... NBC's streaming service. I've already seen some complaints online from Psych fans, too. So... this seems to be happening everywhere.

I don't know about you guys, but I still enjoy watching my shows the best on regular old TV, and if they fail to deliver there, I'm sure that would hurt their ratings and advertising revenue.

Hope they announce something soon with these movies that will make all of us Hallmark viewers happy again.

      Blessings! Net

  13. Harvest Moon

    Come little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
    Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away
But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancing in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
    On this harvest moon
    When we were strangers
    I watched you from afar
    When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart
    But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
    I want to celebrate
See it shinnin' in your eye
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
    On this harvest moon
