What better announcement during Christmas in July, than MORE Hallmark Christmas movie news!

It had already been revealed to us, recently, that Erin Krakow and Cameron Mathison would be making Hallmark Christmas movies! In fact, Erin shared the news on social media, you may recall, with Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott, Hallmark's head of Programming & Network Publicity, Michelle Vicary and author Melissa de la Cruz, who wrote the book, Erin's new Christmas movie is based upon.

Cameron Mathison told his Home & Family viewers on Friday, July 5th. But now, ET online, has provided even more specifics, plus... they have released details on a new Hallmark Christmas movie starring Kevin McGarry (you know, the handsome new Mountie on When Calls the Heart)!

And, to top it all off, like a cherry on top of an ice cream cone, one of their co-stars has already been to the North Pole! That's Elizabeth Mitchell, Cameron Mathison's co-star, who portrayed the teacher/Mrs. Claus in The Santa Clause 2 & 3!

Here's the full scoop... (3 scoops!)

Sense, Sensibility & Snowmen

Starring: Erin Krakow (When Calls the Heart) and Luke Macfarlane (A Shoe Addict's Christmas)

Storyline via ET online: "The film centers on Christmas enthusiast party planners Ella (Krakow) and her sister, Marianne, who clash with their client, Edward (MacFarlane), who is a not-so-jolly toy company CEO."

Christmas Scavenger Hunt

Starring: Kevin McGarry (When Calls the Heart) and Kim Shaw (Rent an Elf)

Storyline via ET online: "When Belinda (Shaw) heads back to her hometown for the holidays, things get complicated when she is forced to team up with her ex, Dustin (McGarry), at the town's annual Christmas scavenger hunt."

The Christmas Club

Starring: Cameron Mathison (Home & Family, Love, of Course, Murder, She Baked) and Elizabeth Mitchell (The Santa Clause 2 & 3)

Storyline via ET online: "In The Christmas Club, based on the novel by Barbara Hinske, two busy strangers, Olivia Bennett (Mitchell) and Edward Taylor (Mathison), meet when they help an elderly woman find her lost Christmas savings. Thanks to fate and Christmas magic, they also find something they were both missing: true love.

Mitchell's Olivia is filled with Christmas spirit, whether she's with her dance students or her spirited 8-year-old daughter, Maeryn, and especially when she and Maeryn are dancing together. As a single mom and dance instructor, Olivia has no time for love and little interest to settle down. Things get even more stressful when Olivia learns the owner of the dance studio is selling it right before the annual Christmas recital.

Mathison's Edward doesn't have the fondest memories of Christmas, not since his parents split up when he was a child. After moving to the Big Apple, he's returned home for a business deal and to spend the holidays with his sister, Beth, and her family. All business all the time, a fateful encounter with Olivia spurs him to regain his childhood love of Christmas."

I don't know about you, but with Christmas in July and all of this Christmas movie news - I'm really getting into the holiday spirit! Every day, my heart rejoices that my Savior was born in Bethlehem, but to hear those well known Christmas carols like, "Hark! the herald angels sing - Glory to the new-born King..." playing in the background on any given Hallmark Christmas movie, fills my heart with overwhelming joy!

I'm so glad I left up one of my smaller Christmas trees to fully appreciate it's beauty throughout the year! Plus, I have some Christmassy pillows, too, which are perfect for cuddling up with as I watch my Hallmark Christmas movies! And... I know our dear "It's a Wonderful Movie" friend, Jim, loves having his Christmas tree and decorations up, too... as well as our precious IAWM friend, Linda, who enjoys her lighted Christmas wreath! There's nothing like the light of Christmas - to out-shine all the darkness!

Did YOU put anything Christmassy out in honor of Christmas in July - or do you have something special you've left out, since Christmas? Please share in comments below!

I sure hope you've enjoyed this recent movie update!

Joyous Blessings to ALL of my IAMW friends -
who love Christmas all year round,
as much as I do! Net

It's very exciting to have some incite into the next Christmas season... something to look forward to. I'm keeping a list and will look forward to seeing them. I was hoping you were going to say that Kevin McGarry and Erin Krakow would be in one of the movies. I think they would be perfect together. Oh, well, maybe another time.

  8. Hello Jim! So sorry your first comment didn't go through; however, I'm so glad you shared this inspiring quote with us. What power and meaning there is in that message.

It kind of reminds me of the movie, "Operation Christmas"- when they tell the kids they will be turning off all the lights just before they light the big Christmas tree and the little boy admits he's afraid of the dark and Marc Blucas' character gives him a flashlight, just a small little light. But that light gives him assurance and peace!

Thank you, Jim, for always shining His light!

    Blessings! Net
