Storyline via Hallmark: In “Love Takes Flight,” Dr. Lizzie Beauman (DeLoach) is a single mother and hospital administrator tasked with assembling and creating the kind of world class hospital that attracts cases from all over the world. A former OB/GYN, Lizzie left medicine for administration when her five-year-old daughter, Quinn (Skylar Olivia Flanagan, “Every Other Holiday”) developed an insulin disorder. While building facilities is difficult, Lizzie’s best construction work consists of the walls she builds around herself. For Lizzie, spontaneity creates chaos, and she prefers order. But all that changes when new EMS pilot Charley Allen (Hephner) comes into Lizzie and Quinn’s lives. Charley challenges the constrictions Lizzie places on herself, especially... click here to read more...

It is such a delightful read! You may also recognize Skylar from her Lifetime Christmas movie, "Every Other Holiday." Whenever a new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie airs on TV, I can't help but think of past favorites from this incredible series.

In fact, a Hallmark movie friend on Twitter asked just the other day for everyone to share their favorite Hallmark Hall of Fame movies from the past, and I shared these films:
A Season for Miracles,
The Secret Garden,
Caroline?,
Ellen Foster,
Pictures Of Hollis Woods,
Fallen Angel,
and The Magic of Ordinary Days!

And, I must add to that list -
Front of the Class,
Beyond the Blackboard,
and Christmas with Holly
!

Please share your favorites from the Hallmark Hall of Fame collection in comments below! (For your reference, I have a list of the HHOF movies - here!)

I hope you all have a beautiful, sunshiny, last weekend in April! Enjoy both new movies!

Blessings and God's Love! Net

  5. I'm ready to take off on this flight! Cool intro! I checked the archives for the ones I liked best, but it's hard to remember since we rarely see them anymore. Front of the Class, Christmas with Holly, and The Christmas Train are the three that stick out the most to me, but like I said, it's been a long while since I've seen many of them.

  6. Oh, Net, another step back in time...I loved all the Sarah, Plain and Tall series and The Lost Valentine I could watch forever along with the Secret Garden, Love Locks, Follow The Stars Home, Magic of Ordinary Days, Loving Leah and many more. I could list all the wonderful Christmas movies I've loved but I won't, Lol! All that were available on dvd I own and will treasure for many years to come!

  12. Hallmark Hall of Fame is missing movies list that I found on Wiki

    As Big As the Moon
    Firefight - Cuba Gooding Jr.
In My Dream - Katherine McPhee

Hallmark Hall of Fame was on CBS

I notice Love Takes Flight was on 259 but it's actually 263 & Christmas Everlasting was on 258 but actually 262

    Have someone fix them correctly?

  13. Dude Ranch

Hallmark will offer fans some summertime romance with their Summer Nights series. According to Soaps, Dude Ranch is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, August 24, so pencil in that date. The story, written by Robert Tate Miller, is about city slicker Richard, (Ryan Paevey), a property developer who has his eye on a Montana ranch. Of course, it is owned by cowgirl Samantha, (Erin Krakow) and the two opposites fall in love. The other cast member is Annie, who is portrayed by newcomer Ava Grace Cooper. Could she be the catalyst that brings these unlikely lovebirds together?

  14. When is the next Darcy movie? Right now, Hallmark has not announced anything about a future episode. Although TV Shows Ace has previously reported on the probability that the Darcy movies could expand and become regular occurrences, nothing has been revealed. Fans and Ryan Paevey alike would like to see the amazing honeymoon that Darcy planned for Elizabeth. Maybe there will be a Darcy baby? Fans clearly want more!

My entire family enjoyed Love Takes Flight immensely!! First Question: When will the DVD go on sale? Hopefully soon. Second Question: Will there be a sequel? Hopefully a sequel is in the works, especially since I read that this wonderful movie is based on a true story. Our family loved, loved, loved this movie and we want to know what happens next? Hallmark casting selected the very best actors to play each part. I have followed Jeff Hephner’s career and Nikki DeLoach’s career and I believe that while they are talented actors, their dialog was delivered so naturally because they were showing their own persona and voice. Incredible job well done! Barbara Nivens, Tom Thon, Caroline Arapoglou, Kwajalyn Brown, Dwayne Boyd added so much to the movie’s success too. Skylar Olivia Flanagan was quite a stand out new talent. Delightful we thought.

Please give us a Love Takes Flight sequel! (smile).

Regarding sequels for other Hallmark Channel Movies: We are hoping to see a third Darcy movie please, please. Ryan Paevey and Cindy Bushy are a classic love story…what happens next?..... honey moon, careers, and starting a family. Of course Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott have so much more of their love story to share in sequel # four. Finally, from our point of view Steve Bacic and Sara Rue have more of their love story to share so hopefully the is an All For Love sequel in the future.
I have loved watching Hallmark Hall of Fame movies ever since my childhood. At 63 I’m still in love with Hallmark! Thanks for all the years of laughter, tears and sheer enjoyment.

    1. Hello Olivia!

Thank you for this lovely comment! I am so delighted to hear how much you enjoyed "Love Takes Flight" with your family, and how much you love Hallmark movies too! You have definitely come to the right place here to share your enjoyment of everything Hallmark!

As for when the DVD will become available for "Love Takes Flight," I'm hoping sometime soon or later this year. I wish I could give you an exact date, but I will be sure to post details on my site- as soon as I know anything! I, too, thought it was one of Hallmark's finest films lately. There was just the right amount of drama, romance, and suspense. Plus, the happy endings always warm my heart! I'm so happy to know - you feel the same!

By the way, I would also be delighted to see sequels to "Love Takes Flight" and all the movies you mentioned! :)

Thank you so much for sharing, Olivia!

Blessings to you & your family! Net
