HALLMARK CHRISTMAS Movie Updates, "When Calls the Heart" Christmas Title, and MORE!!!

Christmas Updates - EW and Hallmark:

As some of you may have noticed, there were previously a few differences between the Christmas movies on the EW press release and the original Hallmark print out schedule - on their web-site. I reached out to Hallmark to clarify which information was correct and they informed me that the schedule times on the EW press release that I shared here on "It's a Wonderful Movie" are correct, but a few movie titles have changed. They are... "Christmas Encore," "Christmas at Holly Lodge," "When Calls the Heart: The Christmas Wishing Tree," and "New Year’s Gala." See the list - here or Print Out Hallmark's newly re-vised schedule on the Hallmark Channel web-site- here!

    1. Yes, this movie is still in the pre-production phase, so it's not surprising that it has undergone a title change, and personally I just loved the title "Miracle on 43rd Street." Currently, EW still list the title as "Encore Christmas" and the Hallmark web-site says "Christmas Encore." Either way, it's a different title than the original, which is a bummer!

However, I think this is going to be a great one, based on casting alone... Brennan Elliott and Maggie Lawson! With those two - it has to be good!!! :)

    2. Yes, I prefer Miracle on 43rd Street rather than Encore Christmas or Christmas Encore...

Because of there's Christmas Miracle on Miracle on 43rd Street.

      Miracle on 34th Street

Hallmark changes their mind the title is called; "Miracle on 43rd Street", rather than Encore Christmas or Christmas Encore.

Starring Maggie Lawson & Brennan Elliott

Hallmark has 3 times Christmas schedule

  5. Is it just me, or is the new "When Calls the Heart" movie starting to become less like "When Calls the Heart" and more like a sequel to "The Wishing Tree" from 2012? I feel like this new movie is putting too much emphasis on that tree.

    1. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I'm sure "When Calls the Heart" will do their own wishing tree in a meaningful way. The peddler, Sam Bailey, who came into town last year had an impact personally on many lives, but there were still many other beautiful stories to tell, including: the Mountie dance and the true meaning of Christmas!!!

WCTH has had many wonderful episodes and stories, and I'm sure this one will be just as good and memorable.

  6. Jordan Bridge is back in Christmas at Holly Lodge & even his Dad; Beau Bridge is in Angel Falls

The Bridge Family was in "Thanksgiving Promise" is a Disney movie about Canadian goose named Chester with Courtney Thorne-Smith & Jason Bateman on Disney Sunday Night. It wasn't air on TV ever since on Thanksgiving weekends since I watched Thanksgiving movies

    1. Yes, I saw that, too! Loved Jordan Bridges in "Holiday Engagement!" It will be so fun to see him return in a Hallmark Christmas movie starring with Alison Sweeney in "Christmas at Holly Lodge"!

As for "Thanksgiving Promise"... I have seen that special with the Bridges family! BYU played it a few years ago during Thanksgiving time and that's when I first saw it and loved it! Was such a treat to see Jordan as a young boy in it, along with his father Beau, grandfather Lloyd, and grandmother Dorothy. Thank you for reminding us of this sweet story.

I checked to see if Amazon might have it on DVD or video, but didn't see one there. They did, however, have a soundtrack and a book. I just love the cover picture with the three generations. Perhaps, BYU will play this again, this year!

  7. As we all are every year, I'm so excited about all the Christmas movies to come. I love that we'll see some familiar faces, and also some new ones - and of course, the feel good cozy stories each script has in store. :)

  9. I am appreciative of some of the pairs in all of the Hallmark movies, such as my favorite Crown for Christmas with Danica McKellar and Rupert Penry-Jones. Love on the Air with Jonathan Scarfe and Alison Sweeney is my second favorite, though it isn't Christmas but Cameron Mathison works well. I am the one person that lost my DVD and about had a breakdown because my favorite Christmas shows were recorded. I was very thankful for Christmas in July to be able to record a few to hold me over until the season starts. Thank you for all the great "seasonal" movies, especially the Christmas. I honestly don't know what I did before I found Hallmark. My list of favorites grows longer each day.
