Day 6: CAMERON MATHISON + HALLMARK CHRISTMAS (need I say more?)

July 12, 2017 - Wednesday

Homeless for the Holidays ... TCT ... 5:30 PM
The Christmas Note ... HMM ... 7 PM
A Christmas to Remember ... HMM ... 9 PM
Saint Street ... TCT ... 1:30 AM

"Homeless for the Holidays" is a story about a family who looses everything at Christmastime. To be honest, the acting may not be as great in this movie, but the deeper meaning supersedes any misgivings here. Truly makes one look at life from a different perspective and appreciate everything you have.

As for "Saint Street," I have not seen this one, yet, but reviews at Amazon are pretty good. Most said it had a touching holiday message; however, I just read a plot description that sounds very emotionally deep, possibly heartbreaking. Not a movie I would personally recommend for young viewers based on this.

Home and Family celebrates Christmas in July today with actor Cameron Mathison ("A Christmas to Remember," "The Christmas Ornament," and "Window Wonderland") from the Hallmark Channel original movie "At Home in Mitford", chef Gemma Stafford bakes a snow globe cake, Christmas dinner beauty; a nutcracker DIY; how to make Santa an Mrs. Claus pillows; gifts that give back and more!

Once again, I recommend both Hallmark movies today! "A Christmas to Remember" starring Cameron Mathison is just that - a Christmas movie you will want to remember... one that makes you feel extra good inside! I absolutely fell in love with the adorable children! Wonderful casting! And, the love story is very sweet, too!

"The Christmas Note" is a Christmas mystery from the beginning, until the end... and the story takes place in Wilsonville, the very same town featured in "The Christmas Secret!" You'll even find Betty at the bakery! It's a yummy treat you're sure to enjoy seconds of!

TWO More DAYS until the Hallmark Channel joins Christmas in July Movies!!!

Happy Christmas Movie Watching!!!

Blessings, Net

  1. The Christmas Secret & The Christmas Note are in the same town of Wilsonville. The same Betty with different hairstyle, aprons, & bakery shop. I wonder why Betty's Bakery Shop in The Christmas Note is different than Bakery store in The Christmas Secret.

I notice Wilsonville Collection is the same store in The Christmas Secret & The Christmas Note.

Where's Christine, Haley, Zach, Jason, Judy, & Jason's Grandpa in The Christmas Note since they're in The Christmas Secret?

    1. I know, I would love to hear how Christine and Jason are doing. It would have been so cool if they mentioned them in conversation. Jamie Lyn Siglar and Bethany Joy Lenz would be good together as BFF's.

  2. I am looking forward to Cameron on Home & Family. Danica was so cute yesterday and her mother, it is amazing how they have the same smile and facial expressions. I cant wait to find out who will be on next week as next week is Hallmark channels Christmas week. I hope we get Lacey, Alicia, maybe even Ashley Williams or Kimberly.

    1. All the Hallmark movie guests have been great this week on Home & Family! I'm actually currently watching Cameron Mathison and his Hallmark Christmas movie enthusiasm just shines right through him - love his energy!!!

As for next week on H&F, I have heard Candace Cameron Bure will be stopping by for a visit! Would love to see everyone you mentioned, too! :)

    2. I wish Cameron would talk about Murder She Baked, I am so worried they aren't making anymore. I don't know why I feel that way, it just seemed they wrapped it up fast and I am so worried we wont be getting any more of them.

    3. Yeah, me too - love "Murder She Baked!" For me, I feel it's one of the best Mystery Wheels on HMM.

No surprises revealed during the course of Cameron Mathison's interview, but it was still extra fun to watch! Hopefully, he will return for a new Christmas movie this holiday season! Since he's already been in 4 and there are 33 upcoming this year - the odds are probably good!!! Let's hope!!! :)

I feel the same way about "Murder She Baked". So afraid that's over!

I know this is not in this thread but Net I've noticed what I think might be the same diner in "Home for Christmas"(HMM) as the diner in "Appetite for Love"(HM). Have you noticed this in the brief ad?

Also I think you might have listed this, I believe Ellen's grandmother's house in the "Irresistible Blueberry Farm" is the same as the house Erin Kraow was staying in "Finding Father Christmas".

So much fun noticing these settings!

    1. Joyce - thank you for sharing the location finds! I hadn't noticed the diner or the "Irresistible Blueberry Farm" house, but I thought the house felt familiar as I watched "Finding Father Christmas!" I will definitely take a closer look! I have a friend who visits these sites - so I'll definitely pass these tips on to her!

      Happy watching!!! Net :)

    2. Its funny you say this Joyce as I thought it was the Diner in Appetite for Love too. I even told my husband and he agreed. But I think I see that diner in many movies and my husband tells me its not. I always say "its Hartz diner". I love the Snow Valley Lodge and I was so happy when I saw that in A Christmas to Remember, Cameron mathison lives in the Snow Valley Lodge. Let it Snow is one of my favorites, I often wonder how Brady and Stephanie are doing running the place.

Sabrina...so glad you noticed the diner too! I had forgot about Mathison living in the same lodge as "Let It Snow". I believe Net has mentioned that here. Let it Snow is one of my favorites...I have so many! Lol! A continuation of that story would be great!

    4. Joyce, I think it was definitely Hartz Diner, I paused it and then turned on Appetite for Love and paused it. Only thing, in Home for Christmas day, there was a big building (a brown, older looking building) but on Appetite, there was no building. My husband thinks it is because in Appetite, it is a small town and they wanted to show that and maybe they photo shopped out the building. But we really think it was the Hartz diner :)

  4. I just found out that "Anne of Green Gables - The Good Stars" will air on PBS on Thanksgiving (November 23rd)!

  5. Two more great movies to watch tonight and I can't wait! Mira and Cameron made such a stunning couple and I loved the theme. The Christmas Note really blew me away the first time I saw it. I loved it from the beginning to the end and, yes, I did cry! Wonderful ending!!
