  1. Can't believe Hallmark didn't snatch this one up, or Lifetime for that matter. Looks really good, Net! Both the leads are so gorgeous!

    3. Oh my goodness!!! Thank you for pointing out that both of their names - Niall Matter and Lisa Whelchel - were missing from the official cast list, Cathy. That was from the release from imdb.

I apologize... I didn't realize they were both missing when I added the listing above. Anyway, I knew both actors were in the film - since I added them on my "Beyond Page" weeks ago. Myself and many Movie Sleuths here at It's a Wonderful Movie had been trying to figure out what Christmas movie Lisa was in for months!!!

Originally "Falling For Christmas" was called "A Snow Capped Christmas". I found the movie via social media and shared some behind-the-scenes pictures "here". Then our movie sleuthing friend Sherry in California discovered Lisa Whelchel had made a Christmas Movie and then, Shirley S. discovered it was this same movie!

So..... Thank you, again! I have added their names to the cast above. I appreciate you taking the time to comment, Cathy, and let me know!!!

      Merry Christmas to You!!!
      Blessings!!! Net :)

  2. So happy now! Niall Matter is a new favorite of mine since Stop the Wedding and I loved him with Erin Krakow in her new HMM Christmas movie last night! He's a keeper, Hallmark! Don't lose him to UP! I'm also surprised we haven't seen Leah on Hallmark since Love by the Book. But, I'm hoping now we will see more of these two refreshing faces!

Love & LOL Laughter!!! Lauren ⛄⛄⛄

    2. I'm so glad you knew his name! I could not remember what I knew him from. When I saw your review, I was finally able to look him up. I loved him in the tv show Eureka. I wonder why he is not listed in the cast info above?

    3. Thank you, Erica! As I shared with Cathy above, I simply didn't realize Niall Matter's name was missing from the official cast list. I have now added his name, and others above! I appreciate you e-mailing to let me know! Hope you enjoyed the movie!

    1. From what I gather, it was filmed in Okanagan, Canada. However, there may have been several various locations for different scenes... ice rink, lodge, outdoor ice pond, etc...

      Thank you for commenting!!!

    1. When I saw him, I thought right away that it was Hall-of-famer Bobby Orr. I wish I knew for sure, but I'd be willing to bet money on it.

  5. This one was pretty cute and entertaining. Jullian's character certainly brought the humor aspect. Overall it was a nice, easy watch. Not the type that I would watch over and over, but it was pretty sweet, especially coming from Up.

  6. I'm pretty sure its Bobby Orr. He looked so familiar I was trying to place him as an actor in another show like flashpoint.

  9. There's a part of Falling For Christmas where it seems it is filmed in Toronto or New Zealand. Is the the CN Tower or is that the tower in Auckland NZ

  10. I knew Niall Matter from Stop The Wedding but really became a fan following the HMM Christmas 2016 Movie Finding Father Christmas and managed to get hold of a copy of this.

Overall really enjoyed it much more than many of the Hallmark Christmas Movies of this season. It was actually very "Hallmark-esque" in format, (maybe even made with them in mind). Started slowly but really took off in the second half.

All the other main characters Leah Renee, Lisa Whelchel, Lochlyn Monro and Michael Teigen put in good performances.

However, it almost seemed though as if they suddenly realised they had only so much running time left and the ending was very rushed with the plot suddenly going from one scenario to another which didn't seem feasible to me.

I find that actors often do 2 films for Hallmark then either disapppear or become regulars so the question is - which came first Niall's second Hallmark Movie or this Up one?

I'd like to think we will see more of him on Hallmark.
