“A person may be proud without being vain.
Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves,
vanity to what we would have others think of us.”

As a lover of all original Jane Austen books and movies,
I am eager to see this modern version, on the Hallmark Channel,

Love that second image, Net! But then of course I do, I just noticed you created it. I must say I like it better then Hallmark's official poster. (between you & me!)
ReplyDeleteI really want to see this one, Net! Pray we don't loose electricity/cable...big snow/wind storm coming to the east coast. Perfect time for what Hallmark does best!!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe this is the last movie for Winterfest! It was a great transition mode for us to have it right after Christmas at our house.
ReplyDeleteUnleashing Mr. Darcy looks like it has potential starting with the lead actress, who I like better as a blonde. Maybe it's her character, but she looks happier here, than Cedar Cove.
This movie is based off the novel Unleashing Mr. Darcy by Teri Wilson. And the book does have some TV 14 style scenes in it for anyone who wants to read the book after watching the movie. This is just an example

Hope you enjoy this one, Net. My mom and I watched it (I'm reviewing it over on Silver Petticoat this weekend) and both of us thought Ryan made the perfect Mr. Darcy. :) I'd love to know what you think when you have a chance to watch it. Gotta' love any and all contemporary spins of this iconic story. Or I've found that MOST the time I do. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this modern tale of P&P on Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteThis was the best movie since Christmas! My mom and I loved it. Hope they put it on DVD soon!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great diversion to the fact that we are snowed in this weekend. Thank goodness we still have our power so I could spend yesterday & today catching all the great Hallmark movies I've missed lately. Can't believe the Winterfest movies are over now. Tori
ReplyDeleteI can relate, Tori! We got a little over two and a half feet of snow where I live and thank God we didn't loose our power either. I loved, loved this movie from the beginning to the end. I thought Elizabeth and Donovan were beautifully paired (complete opposites)which led to much interesting dilemma..LOL!...my favorite "Winterfest" movie!!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, this was so horrible. They had reduced Elizabeth to a petty, baby-talking ditzy. Miss Austen must be spinning in her grave.
