actress Meghan Ory is currently filming
a Hallmark Christmas Movie
that includes a lot of Puppies!!!
Here's a pic, the actress shared via Instagram:

You may recognize Meghan Ory from...
the ABC series Once Upon a Time,
and from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film:
Meghan Ory in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' The Memory Book. |
Also starring in this movie is Aleks Paunovic who was in "Christmas Bounty" on ABCfamily and "The Christmas Consultant" on Lifetime. The buzz is... this puppy movie is for Hallmark. We'll see!
Meghan Ory is a lovely, spirited actress, and I look forward to hearing more about this possibly new Hallmark Christmas Movie! Plus, all the puppies look adorable, too!!!
UPDATE 8/19/2015 : In Aleks Paunovic's Instagram photos, Sherry in California discovered... he uses the hashtag #dashingthroughthesnow next to one of the photos he posted... so this looks like this movie is more than likely the new Debbie Macomber Christmas film: Dashing Through The Snow being made for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries!
The next Hallmark Alum
filming a Christmas Movie is...
actor Ryan McPartlin.
Erin Krakow and Ryan McPartlin |
Hallmark fans will recognize Ryan McPartlin from the Hallmark Channel movie "Chance at Romance" with Erin Krakow. In this new movie, currently titled "Accidental Trip", Ryan will star alongside Mayim Bialik (best known from the sitcom "Blossom").
A special "Thank you" to Sherry in California for giving us the tip on this one!

From various social media pics, it looks like the film will also star... Brian Doyle-Murray (the Boss from "Yes Dear" and "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" - the poor guy Eddie ties up), as well as the parents from the sitcom "Family Matters" (the one with the hilarious next door neighbor, Erkel), Carl and Harriette Winslow - Reginald VelJohnson and Jo Marie Payton, and Gib Gerard (son of actress Connie Selleca) who was in an ION Christmas movie last year, "A Christmas Mystery".
A little extra info... both Ryan Mcpartlin & Gib Gerard have also starred in Lifetime Christmas movies... "Holly's Holiday" and "All About Christmas Eve." Reginald VelJohnson has been in a Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel, "The Three Gifts" and one on UP, "The 12 Dog Days Till Christmas". Besides, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Brian Doyle-Murray has been in the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie "Christmas Under Wraps".
No word, yet, on when & where this particular movie can be seen. Guessing ION. What do you all think?
Great find! If there's a new Christmas movie around I know you'll find it!
ReplyDeleteI have found some - but I've also had some great tips from my followers, too! Thank you!!! :)
DeleteThese sound cute! But then, with Hallmark, that's what I'd expect. :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Rissi! It's so fun to see these all being created!
DeleteNet -- Again, thank you so much for giving me the credit on the tip about the Ryan McPartlin/Mayim Bialik movie (as you also kindly gave me for the Alicia Witt movie tip)! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Alicia Witt tip I came up with on my own, but I will, in turn, give credit to Tracy -- someone who posts on the website I moderate, in my ongoing Christmas-related thread -- for giving me the tip about the Ryan/Mayim movie. If Tracy had not told me that she saw some Christmasy pictures posted on Mayim's Instagram account in relation to a movie that was being filmed, I would not have known to check it and investigate further!
I agree -- I have a feeling the Ryan/Mayim movie might end up on Ion, with ABC Family or Lifetime as alternate options. At this point I am still wondering if the Alicia Witt Christmas movie is going to end up on Hallmark or Lifetime (or somewhere else?)!
Great find on the Meghan Ory movie! To be honest, I have seen her face here and there -- and I think I caught a bit of "The Memory Book," but I wouldn't have known her name off the top of my head. I wonder if the movie she is doing is for the regular Hallmark Channel, or Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
I had a feeling that, after last year's successful "Nine Lives of Christmas" and "The Christmas Shepherd," Hallmark would put out another animal movie for the holidays -- at least one, if not more.
That is so sweet of you, Sherry, to give credit where credit is due. Thank you, Tracy, for initially finding this info on the Ryan/Mayim movie, but I also appreciate you sharing it here, Sherry!
DeleteI agree with you... It is sweet to see another animal movie this Christmas!
Sizing up and be a fantastic movie season!!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is!!!
DeleteLooks like another great season coming up......anything Christmas; bring it on!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love ALL the Anticipation!!! It's half the Fun!!!
DeleteCan't wait for the movies to begin, can't get enough.....
ReplyDeleteMe too!!!!!!! :)
DeleteNet -- After doing some extra digging, I think I have come to the conclusion that the Meghan Ory/Aleks Paunovic movie is, indeed, "Dashing Through the Snow" (based on the Debbie Macomber book)! I was suspicious about this movie possibly being DTTS when I saw the puppies in the above photo, as I know that there is supposed to be at least one puppy in the story that Debbie Macomber wrote. In perusing Aleks Paunovic's Instagram photos, I saw the hashtag #dashingthroughthesnow next to one of the photos he posted!
ReplyDeleteSo... if I recall correctly (I think it was mentioned in a Hallmark press release, maybe?), "Dashing Through the Snow" is supposed to be a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie. I strongly suspect that it will air on both the Hallmark Channel and Movies & Mysteries. Last year, "The Christmas Shepherd" was originally supposed to be a Movies & Mysteries movie. Then it ended up premiering on the regular Hallmark Channel, before finally settling in over on the Movies & Mysteries Channel. Since Debbie Macomber's work is so popular with viewers of the regular Hallmark Channel, I would bet that "Dashing Through the Snow" will premiere on Hallmark and then movie over to Movies & Mysteries... or vice versa!
I see that hashtag you are talking about, Sherry. It absolutely must be the new Debbie Macomber movie: "Dashing Through The Snow". Great Catch! For now, it is set to air on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
DeleteSo, I guess that takes us back another spot in the Hallmark Channel's 16 Christmas Movies! 7 unknown films!
Wow! You guys are the better sleuths than those on the shows! LOL Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteMisty
LOL!! You're funny, Misty!! Don't you love it when Net and Sherry go back and forth? Great reading, great info from these two super sleuths!!!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all your comments so much... I think of you all as dear friends!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your sleuth comment, Misty! So cute! Aurora Teagarden and Hannah Swensen have nothing on us! ha! ha!
Thank you Linda for always sharing in the fun! You always have a refreshing true perspective!!!
Blessings to you both, Net :)

ReplyDeleteThe film will be shown on Lifetime (confirmed by Mayim Bialik in blog post by her).
Still trying to find the Lifetime movie on DVD " A Gift Wrapped Christmas" with Meredith Hagner and Travis Miline. Very happy movie. Thank you for all you do for us. Peace
ReplyDeleteIt just premiered within the last 2 months. Lifetime never releases their movies on DVD that quickly. In fact, many movies don't make it to DVD that fast after debuting on any channel.
DeleteHallmark has a deal with Walmart to sell some of their movies right after debuting -- but only a few. Then another 2 or 3 movies get released to DVD the following year, but some never make it to DVD at all.
