It's Official!
One of the most asked about Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies,
is coming soon to DVD!!!
So far, SNOW BRIDE is available for pre-order from Walmart.com and CBD - ChristianBook.com, with a release date of October 6, 2015!
As I type this information (on Monday, August 24th, 2015) it is not currently available through Amazon.com. However I am continuing my search for it there and will update the link here, if or when, it becomes available! (Please note: when you order through any of the links to Amazon on this site, you also support "It's a Wonderful Movie". Thank you to those of who already do that! I am so grateful!)
*A very special "Thank You" to Shirley - for e-mailing me about the DVD release of SNOW BRIDE! I appreciate it so much!
Another Hallmark Channel movie - coming very soon to DVD,
MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE is available through Walmart.com, with a release date of September 1, 2015!
At this time, it is currently not available through Amazon, either, but I'll keep looking!
If you happen to search Amazon.com and find either of these movies or other special ones on DVD, please e-mail or leave a comment below!
Awwwww, come on Amazon; since when are you second??? LOL!! Now if we could only get "Let It Snow", Angel's and Ornaments", Christmas Secret", "One Starry Christmas", etc., etc., etc.. Whew!! Great news Net!!
ReplyDeleteI know. Right? I couldn't believe it. Amazon doesn't have either one, and Midnight Masquerade will be out in just about a week!! I'm sure they will get both in coming weeks, before Christmas!
DeleteYay for 'Snow Bride' and 'Moonlight.' Both are cute. :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Rissi, these are very cute Hallmark movies. Something about them - just makes you feel good inside! It's nice to see such decent movies released to DVD!
DeleteI wish they would release Let It Snow, Catch A Christmas Star, One Starry Christmas, Christmas Under Wraps.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope our other favorite movies aren't overlooked again this year!!!
DeleteYou made my day: I've been checking Amazon at least once a week for Midnight Masquerade and Snow Bride. Now we need to see Angel's & Ornaments, One Starry Christmas, Let it Snow. What a wonderful Christmas it would be to give these for Christmas presents, to all my movie lovers - including ME
ReplyDeleteSo glad this info made your day! I think this is hopeful news that we might see more Hallmark movies released in the future!
DeleteSo true - more Movies would make great Christmas gifts! Perfect Stocking Stuffers!!!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, thank heavens! This made my day. "Snow Bride" has been out as a foreign import DVD (on ebay and Amazon) since early this year or last year. It is one of my favorite Hallmark holiday movies, and I was afraid it was never going to be released domestically. I didn't want to have to buy a foreign import, but I was afraid it would never come out in America!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to finally get it on DVD (and to take it off my DVR to clear some space) -- although I wish it were going to be available on Amazon. Actually, I'm sure it will make it to Amazon down the road, but not yet. When it gets to Amazon it will probably be overpriced at first.
There were so many good movies that came from the 2013 group -- several of my all time Hallmark favorites are from that specific year. Two of them I already have on DVD -- "A Very Merry Mix-Up" and "The Christmas Ornament." Now I can add "Snow Bride."
I still wonder if we will ever see "Let it Snow," "Window Wonderland," "Finding Christmas," and several others on DVD. I keep thinking Hallmark is saving some of them to release on a compilation -- one of their sets of 2, 4 or 8 movies. Maybe they will bundle "Let it Snow" and "Christmas Under Wraps" together?
"Midnight Masquerade"... eh. I love Halloween, and I wanted to love this movie. Also, Autumn Reeser is adorable. However, I didn't love it.
Thank you, Net -- and Shirley -- for the great "Snow Bride" news!
YES!!! You are so right, Shirley... it looks like Amazon is probably going to get these movies, later on, as they did some of the Christmas movies last year. I don't, however, understand how they have Christmas at Cartwrights and Best Christmas Party Ever, but not Snow Bride and Midnight Masquerade? Don't get it?
DeleteEvery year it's a mystery what movies we'll get!!!
Thanks also for the thank you nod to Shirley! I am grateful for all the tips and leads I've been receiving this year! And, you've been most helpful, as well, Sherry! So glad to have you both on the "It's a Wonderful Movie" investigative team! :)
A B I G T H A N K Y O U. I have been waiting for these great movies to come on DVD. You are an angel for all you can provide to help us get through the day. Peace
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh Thank You! You're an angel for saying that!!! God's Blessings to You!!!
DeleteAwesome!! But Amazon needs to get it! Now I will await Window Wonderland and A Bride For Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYes! We need them to be Amazon Prime! Come on!
DeleteIt would be awesome to have Window Wonderland on DVD, but just so you know A Bride for Christmas is available in 2 separate collection DVDs! Click here to see!
Enjoy!!! :)
When are they going to release the movies so many of us are waiting for and keep asking about? Yeah the ones Linda mentions, but what about Matchmaker Santa, Winter Wonderland, Finding Christmas, Thanksgiving House, Christmas Under Wraps, Farewell Mr. Kringle and the list goes on. Many people have been asking for these too.
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling that Hallmark is never going to release all of their movies to DVD. "Farewell, Mr. Kringle" is 5 years old at this point, and "Matchmaker Santa" is 3 years old. The more time that passes, it seems the less of a chance there is for a DVD.
DeleteWho knows why they don't release all of them? There could be some sort of legal/distribution issue. It could be that Hallmark wants to keep some of the movies off of DVD so that people keep tuning in to the channel to see them (which would be a smart move for Hallmark, though frustrating for us). Whatever the reason, I have a feeling that a lot of the movies will never make it to DVD.
Sadly, that goes for many of their other non-holiday movies too.
I think it is the reason. They want people to watch their station to see those movies.
DeleteMisty
Good point, Misty! Would we stop watching if we had them all on DVD?
DeleteSome of them, perhaps... but, I know I would still watch all my favorites whenever they are on TV!
I think that, in theory, a lot of people think they would watch the marathons just as often even if they had the DVDs. In reality, though, a lot of people would eventually have less of a reason to tune in to the channel, over the course of time. The marathons would be less of a "must-see" event. Or, people might only tune in for the new movies and not make time for the older ones if they have them all on DVD.
DeleteAs I mentioned in my above comment, it would be a smart move on Hallmark's part to hold some of the movies back and not release them to DVD if they want to be sure that people will keep tuning in -- though it is frustrating for the viewers.
The thing that is really irritating is that there are some movies not on DVD, but they are also being slowly eased out of the marathons. Take "Farewell, Mr. Kringle," for example. It's not on DVD, but because it is 5 years old it is also not a headliner in the Christmas marathons anymore. It doesn't air in July at all, and the number of showtimes in Nov-Dec is being reduced each year. In a few years it might not air at all, or no more than one time.
So, if Hallmark is going to keep certain movies off of DVD so we will keep watching, then I hope that they actually continue to air them often enough so we CAN watch. Lol.
I would love to see Battle of the Bulbs and Our First Christmas become available on DVD!
ReplyDeleteThose are both great ones! I'm especially surprised we haven't seen "Battle of the Bulbs" come to DVD, especially since it has a Home Alone connection, starring one of the robbers Marv, actor Daniel Stern. It's a good one! Creative. Unique!
Deleteconcretegirl2 -- "A Bride for Christmas" is on DVD, but it is sold as a set with either 1 other movie or 3 other movies. I got the collection of 4 movies several months ago, for a very reasonable price (something like $11)... on Amazon!
ReplyDeleteYou did? I got to look that up!
DeleteMisty
Yes, A Bride for Christmas is available in 2 separate collection DVDs! Click here to see.
DeleteThe Double Feature DVD has 2 Hallmark movies: Baby's First Christmas and a Bride for Christmas.
The Hallmark Holiday Collection 4 Pack DVD includes: Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Christmas Song, Baby's First Christmas, and A Bride for Christmas.
Hope you enjoy whichever set you choose!
Thanks for the links! I love that movie - definitely one of my favorites.
DeleteIn response to Sherry's blog, there are movies that are printed on demand. Maybe they could do something like that. As we have all said, many of us are blogging about movies we'd like to see on dvd. How many more who don't get e-mails from this site are wanting them too?
ReplyDeleteOn demand, is an excellent idea! I bet all the movies would do great!
DeleteIf anyone hears of "SSD From Paris With Love" coming out on dvd, please post it. I don't get Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI certainly will do so! Signed Sealed Delivered is such a great series - I want everyone to see it!
DeleteOMGSH yes! SO excited to finally have Snow Bride on DVD!! This was one of my faves during its premiere! So excited to have Midnight Masquerade also! It's one of my mom and my fave newest Hallmark movies. She loves to play over and over again. Thank you Hallmark and Net!
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome! My joy! I am always excited to share new Hallmark movies on DVD!!! I do hope we'll see more this Christmas!!!
DeleteYay! I was giving up hope that those two movies would be on DVD!
ReplyDeleteMisty
I know exactly what you mean, Misty! I was pretty stunned, actually, to see that it was real! Now for that long list of other Hallmark movies everyone is wanting... "Window Wonderland", "Let it Snow", "Battle of the Bulbs", "Matchmaker Santa", etc...!!!
DeleteDon't forget, Net, our sweet, little Grace (Teryl Rothery) from Cedar Cove also stars in "Battle of the Bulbs". She's got black hair!!!!! LOL!!! Amazon carries it but not adaptable to most USA players; sad!!
ReplyDeleteI have purchased the DVD "Snow Bride" but had to return it because I was unable to get it to work in my DVD player. I see my your blog that it is available again. Do you know if it is compatible with recorders in the USA? Where may I purchase it.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for all your information. Peace
I went to go buy "Midnight Masquerade" at Walmart.com and it said it's out of stock already?! Confused.
ReplyDeleteMisty
I just received the "Snow Bride" DVD today. Did anyone else get theirs yet?
ReplyDeleteI haven't ordered it yet. But, good to know someone got theirs.
DeleteMisty
Oh, no! It now says it's out of stock just like Midnight Masquerade. :( So disappointed.
DeleteMisty
Misty -- I think it's out of stock on Walmart's website, but when I checked ChristianBook.com yesterday, "Snow Bride" was showing as still available, for $12.99, and it will ship in early November.
