PLOT:

From Yahoo TV:

Quarterback Joe Kingman is known as one of the toughest players to ever take the field. Blessed with amazing strength and agility, he's famed for being able to handle any hit, no matter how ferocious. Kingman's Boston-based pro football team, The Rebels, is chasing their long-awaited championship and Joe has been living the ultimate bachelor fantasy: he's cool, rich, famous and the life of every party--and there are a lot of parties.

But his dream is suddenly sacked for a loss when he discovers Peyton, the 8-year-old daughter he never knew existed, on his doorstep. Now, just as his career is soaring, Joe must learn to juggle his old lifestyle of parties, practices and dates with supermodels while tackling the new challenges of ballet, bedtime stories and baby dolls--all without fumbling.

Equally perplexed is his hard-edged mega-agent, Stella Peck, herself without a parental bone in her body. But, as the championship grows nearer, Joe is about to realize that the game that truly matters has nothing to do with money, endorsements or even touchdowns--it's all about the really tough stuff: patience, teamwork, selflessness and winning the heart of the one little fan who turns out to count the most.

Movie Review:

Perfect family movie... ideal for Boys and Girls! Completely decent and entertaining! I loved the growing relationship between Joe Kingman and the daughter, Peyton Kelly, he never knew existed. (By the way, he was married to her mother - they seperated)

It's such an adorable movie with great comedy. There is one very dramatic tear jerking surprising moment toward the end, but I must reassure you - that it is Disney... so it does have a Happy Ending!

My absolute favorite moment in the movie was a scene where the daughter is upset and locks herself in her room... and Joe, the father, grabs his guitar, and sings at her door- Elvis's song: "Are you Lonesome Tonight". His voice is so strong, yet gentle... she finally opens her door and lets him in and they embrace. It was such a precious, beautiful moving moment. I loved it!

While Payton struggles to develop a relationship with the father she has always yearned to know, Joe Kingman must adapt his partying lifestyle to that of a responsible father - pratically overnight. His egotistical world used to be centered completely around himself and his rising football career... but now Joe slowly learns the real meaning and important thngs in life - family and love.
