At first I thought she'd fall into the Irish accent during specific conversations such as when she's doling out wisdom or comfort but it seems to be all over the place and it's a little distracting and jarring because it pulls the viewer out of the scene. But also agree with you, Susan, that it's a wonderful show with an incredibly talented cast from top to bottom!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4945596937015597963.post-22654155228884761972016-09-25T12:44:00.702-04:002016-09-25T12:44:00.702-04:00I'm really enjoying Chesapeake Shores so far. ...I'm really enjoying Chesapeake Shores so far. I like the pace they've set so far and how they touch base with all the characters every episode but don't focus too much on each one. I'm just hoping that they can continue this quality of story-telling going forward and don't try to do too much or to throw in too many outrageous plot twists. The only minor quibble I have with the show is Diane Ladd's accent. I love her as the wise, matriarch of the clan. She plays the part beautifully and believably. But that Irish accents comes and goes in varying degrees and I'm not sure it works as well as they think it does.Susan - Des Moinenoreply@blogger.com
