If you love cozy mysteries, then you'll want to check out the 'Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries' series premiere tonight, Thursday, April 23, at 9 PM ET on UPtv!

The series stars Galadriel Stineman as Cheryl Cooper, Denise Gossett as Naomi Miller, Kevin Joy as Levi Miller, Riley Beeson as Esther Miller, Lance Nichols as Chief Twitchell, Ryan O’Quinn as Seth Miller, and Candace Kirkpatrick as Aunt Mitzi.

"County Rescue" Season 3 - New Poster + Premiere Date, Cast, and Episode Details

A new poster has been released for County Rescue Season 3 featuring familiar and new faces!

Returning to the series from the first two seasons are Julia Reilly, Brett Varvel, Tim Perez-Ross, Riley Hough, Angel Luis, and Tanya Christiansen.

Premiere date on Great American Family: May 17th at 8/7c

Premieres earlier via streaming on Pure Flix: May 14th

According to an article at parade.com, this is what we can expect in the first episodes of the new season: "In the Season 3 opener, the County Rescue team expands, as they welcome two new members—James (Christian Schupe) and Ema (Alyssa Gonzalez)—bringing new dynamics to the crew. Dani (Julia Reilly) steps into a meaningful mentorship role, guiding a new trainee with patience, encouragement, and the steady compassion that defines her leadership. Liz (Stacy Patino) celebrates a major milestone after being accepted as a fire medic. When tragedy strikes the station, the team must come together, leaning on one another to face loss, resilience, and the unbreakable bond that makes them a family."

Launched in 2020, the series continues its successful run as a cornerstone of INSP’s original programming slate. Filming on Season Six is set to begin today, with new episodes continuing the series’ signature storytelling approach—following legendary gunslinger-turned-newspaperman Bat Masterson as he uncovers the incredible stories behind the West’s the most notorious characters and conflicts. The series, which stars Jack Elliott as Bat Masterson, has built a fiercely loyal and growing audience drawn to its authentic and immersive portrayal of Western history.

What a lovely mix of options we have this weekend- uplifting faith, intriguing mystery, a heartwarming romance with a touch of American history, and more! I hope something here adds a little joy to your weekend!

I'm really excited to watch America Reads the Bible! I hope many hearts are touched by this amazing event - and come to know Jesus, either for the first time, or in a deeper, more personal way.

I usually watch the When Hope Calls: Brookfield episodes early on Pure Flix, but I haven't had the chance to see this one yet. After all, it did just come out yesterday, but what am I waiting for? Right? LOL. I do hope to watch soon... I can't wait to see Mountie Jim's reaction to Justine, the stagecoach robbery, and how the children respond to a little trouble of their own.

My Quick Take:

I must say... I'm extra excited for this Christmas movie, and I'm so thrilled we will hear Laura Osnes and Chuck Wicks sing in it! Everything about Silver Bells at Christmas sounds so lovely, including this extraordinary leading and supporting cast. This truly looks like one to look forward to this upcoming holiday season on Great American Family!

Great American Media has officially announced The Trouble with Mistletoe starring Jillian Murray (Chasing Christmas, A Little Women's Christmas) and Brett Varvel ("County Rescue")!

Of course, we already knew a little about this Christmas movie (see original post) because Jillian and Brett shared the exciting news on Instagram while they were filming in March, but now we have official confirmation and more specific details about their movie (see the press release below).

And even greater news for Jillian and her husband, Dean Geyer, the two revealed today in an exclusive article with People, that they are expecting their first child together! And she found out the news while filming her 2025 Christmas movie for Great American Family - Chasing Christmas!

NEW YORK, NY – April 9, 2026 – Great American Media today announced an exclusive overall deal with actress Jillian Murray, with production now underway on The Trouble With Mistletoe, the first film under the new agreement. The film will be a World Premiere as part of the 6th Annual Great American Christmas franchise. Murray (Mario Lopez Presents: Chasing Christmas, A Little Women’s Christmas) stars opposite Brett Varvel (“County Rescue,” “Running the Bases”) in the Original Christmas feature. The Trouble With Mistletoe is adapted from USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Snow’s novel.

Set in the charming town of Brookhollow, The Trouble With Mistletoe follows an acquisitions executive (Murray) who returns home for Christmas and unexpectedly reconnects with the former fiancé (Varvel) she left behind. As the traditions of her hometown rekindle old memories, she begins to wonder if the life she walked away from may still be the one meant for her.

🎄✨ Another Lead Actor Spotted On Set of Laura Osnes' Christmas Movie

There's more exciting news straight from the set of Laura Osnes’ upcoming festive Christmas movie, which is currently filming!

I recently mentioned in a post that Laura Osnes (of Just in Time) was working alongside actor and singer Chuck Wicks, but now there’s an intriguing new development- another leading man has been spotted on set!

Both Laura Osnes and Brandon Clark (of Brandon Clark Films) shared some behind-the-scenes photos, tagging Ryan McPartlin (Double Scoop, The Flight Before Christmas). Of course, this has sparked my curiosity!

It certainly makes one wonder what roles Ryan and Chuck will play in the story. Could a charming love triangle be in the works? It’s too soon to say for sure, but one thing is certain- this is the first movie for both Ryan McPartlin and Chuck Wicks with Great American Family, which only adds to the excitement!

Stay tuned for more info! With Chuck and Laura singing and another leading man in the mix, this Christmas movie, originally titled: Silver Bells Christmas, is already sounding like one to watch!

"County Rescue" Season 3 Premiere Date Revealed - See Here:

During the Season 3 premiere of When Hope Calls: Brookfield on Great American Family last night, an exciting update appeared in one of the on-screen promos- County Rescue Season 3 is set to premiere on Sunday, May 17th!

This inspiring rescue series stars Brett Varvel and Julia Reilly, both pictured above.

I’m sure season three will bring even more moments of faith, courage, and heartfelt passion as they continue their demanding work as EMTs, serving others and saving lives under intense, day-to-day pressure.
