๐ŸŽ„❤️ Celebrate the True Meaning of Christmas - "A Charlie Brown Christmas" Streams FREE Dec. 13–14

There are certain Christmas traditions that instantly take us back to simpler days, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, now celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year, is one of those timeless gifts. With its soft jazz music, familiar voices, and that humble little Christmas tree, this beloved Peanuts classic has a way of wrapping our hearts in nostalgia, while quietly pointing us back to what matters most.

I remember my family and I would always be gathered in front of the TV to watch this sweet cartoon every Christmas! We wouldn't dream of missing it. And years later, Charlie Brown’s search for meaning during the Christmas season feels just as relevant today.

This year, families can once again gather to stream this treasured special through Apple TV. And for a limited time this weekend, December 13th-14th, A Charlie Brown Christmas will be available to watch for free!

Charlie Brown and Faith:

What makes this sweet little cartoon so powerful is its courage to proclaim the true meaning of Christmas! It is said that CBS was initially hesitatant over the message of faith in A Charlie Brown Christmas, but creator Charles M. Schulz, a man of deep personal faith, gently yet firmly refused to remove it, saying, “If we don’t do it, who will?” Finished at the last minute with no time for changes, the scene remained and generations have been blessed by its beautiful reminder of the true meaning of Christmas ever since.

In a season filled with decorating, baking, shopping, bright lights, and glitter, it’s easy to feel like Charlie Brown.. wondering if anyone remembers what Christmas is all about. Yet year after year, Linus steps onto that simple stage and reminds us plainly and beautifully: the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

It’s such a gentle story, yet it speaks volumes. May we all take time to remember the true meaning- that our Savior was born to save us from our sins and to give us eternal life in Him. That truth is the greatest gift of all, and it’s why A Charlie Brown Christmas will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.

How To Watch:

A Charlie Brown Christmas will be available to watch for free, no subscription required, on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14! Just open the Apple TV app or go to tv.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID (or create a new one), press play, and enjoy!

Put Charlie Brown under your Christmas Tree:

I hope watching this heartwarming special will bring joy to your heart! I've also incuded some delightful Charlie Brown and Peanuts products below - that you might like to gift this Christmas!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

As I’m writing this, it truly feels like I’m living inside a snow globe. We’ve had snow on the ground or falling nearly every single day in December, and today it is falling again! While I’m not sure if we’ll have a White Christmas, it has already been a wonderfully snowy month- making everything feel extra cozy and Christmassy!

Here in the Midwest, we’re currently under a Winter Storm Warning, and we could see six inches of snow or more! (the number seems to keep changing!) It’s absolutely beautiful to watch the snowfall from the warmth of indoors, but my heart goes out to anyone who has to travel in it. If you’re experiencing winter weather like this too, please stay safe, take care, and keep warm and cozy!

Merry Christmas and
Blessings to You All!!!

  1. Christmas Memory-
The first Christmas gift I received outside of gifts under the tree from Santa was a book from my oldest brother- “A Charlie Brown Christmas “. I was 10 and he was in college. I loved the television show and to have the book was wonderful. The show has a special meaning to me.

At the time, my mom and dad were moving us from receiving to more giving. You saved to get a special gift for everyone in the family and a donation. My mom had us set up a Christmas savings account at our local bank. Part of our allowance or money from odd jobs went into the Christmas savings. I made and sold Barbie clothes as a teenager.

I still have the book and encourage everyone to watch “ A Charlie Brown Christmas” for Linus’ - what Christmas is all about reminder.

    Merry Christmas!

  2. Love a Charlie Brown Christmas! All of these that I watched growing up are so sweet to watch with my own children now. I love your story Gabe’s mom. We are going to do that with our little ones this Christmas, I have a feeling our 4 year old will just choose a car for his sister as he loves anything cars and he will probably be hoping he can play with it himself lol In case anyone enjoys Curious George, they are playing “Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas” this Wednesday 17th on PBS. We have never watched it but we love the Curious George movie with Drew Barrymore as the voice of the teacher. I wish her and the man in the yellow hat would have married in that movie, they were so cute together.

    1. Christie, I know just how you feel about Apple. I have the same feeling. I'm so glad I have it on DVD, too.

  4. I’m not sure where to post this, buT there’s a Hallmark movie premiering this Sunday called the Christmas Baby. It’s about a couple(lesbians)in a relationship finding and adopting a baby. I wanted to give you a heads up, because if you don’t look closely it seems like just 2 regular friends, but they are a romantic couple. Very disappointing and sadly I am not surprised.

    1. I have to admit that this is getting very old now. Having to decide or sort through which movies may be family friendly, or which ones may just have a LITTLE bit of not family friendly and is that okay? Is it blatant or just a quickie background, not family friendly? Having to sort through it all is just exhausting and ruins the whole thing.

It is great that we get informed on this wonderful website on whether something is family friendly or not but there are times where I just don't want to have to go look for comments or reviews before I watch the movie. I often like to watch a movie and THEN see other reviews to see what they thought of a movie. I don't like to be influenced ahead of time. However, you almost HAVE to search reviews because as is so often the case, you might have an hour or more invested in a movie before they drop it on you and by then I am like What the heck...now what do I do? Was it just a little bit? Is that the end of it? Can I keep watching? Am I being a bad Christian by continuing? Uggggg

Anyway, just my rant. I guess I have to decide at some point on choosing my Christmas movie watching addiction and supporting these channels that constantly keep pushing these agendas or just staying away completely. Deciding...well, it's okay to support them with this but not that. I saw a comment on how a lot of the Lifetime movies are not family friendly so now I have to sort through all those before watching.

It seems the only way to be totally free is to only watch GAF. No need to worry or search or decide. JUST WATCH!

    2. Abigail, Yes, I so appreciate you saying this and making sure we were all aware. I've had a note on this movie since it was first announced as having a same-sex couple. I feel just like you- disappointed, but not at all surprised.

Thankfully, much of what Hallmark aired this year was family-friendly, but I find it even more disappointing that they waited to air this right before Christmas.

Again, thank you so much for sharing & caring! I hope you and your family are having lots of fun preparing for Christmas! :)

    3. Jim, So well said! I completely understand and agree... our hearts feel the same about this. I find myself getting to that point sometimes too, wondering if I should just watch GAF and forget the rest. But then I’ll catch a movie on another channel that’s just so good, and I’m really glad I didn’t miss it. Although, I have to say, for me personally, that's happened a lot less this year.
