Unaware of her status as a princess, Huntley puts Victoria through the rigors of a Montana ranch experience. Victoria also plans to help Huntley revive the ranch's Christmas Holly-Day Dance. Victoria finds herself charmed by both Huntley and this different pace of life. As the two start to fall for each other, things get complicated when Huntley discovers Victoria is a princess. My Quick Take:

So… the Hallmark Channel has officially unwrapped its Christmas movie list for 2025! 🎄

This year, we’ll be getting 24 brand-new Christmas movies. Sadly, it looks like *Miracles of Christmas* won’t be returning on Hallmark Mystery. I had a feeling, since their Christmas in June/July celebration was just a quick weekend, but still... it’s a little surprising, too, after all these years.

Another disappointment... I'm not seeing any mention of a DaySpring faith-based, inspirational movie in this year's line-up. I've so enjoyed those movies each year. I will truly miss seeing how those movies always incorporated the true meaning of Christmas.

And, I must admit, since so many of the new Christmas movie titles were announced early, there weren’t quite as many surprises this time around for the big reveal.

Perhaps, (I'll try to look on the bright side) with fewer new films... that just gives us more time to look forward to the stories we do have and to cozy up with some of our favorite Christmas classics along the way.

In a way, it may not be such a bad thing that the number of new films has been trimmed down. Many fans have said for years that 40 premieres felt like too many, so perhaps with fewer movies, each one will shine a little brighter and be every bit as magical as the favorites we’ve cherished from past seasons.

In addition to the holiday films & TV series, Hallmark will also premiere three reality series: Finding Mr. Christmas, Baked with Love: Holiday, and Ready, Set, Glow!.

I hope you discover many Christmas movies you will look forward to seeing on the Hallmark Channel this Christmas!

I look forward to sharing and hearing your movie reviews throughout the holiday season.

Joyous Christmas Blessings
to You All,
Net🎄

  1. I had a whole cynicism laced post or 2 ready, but now I'll just say this:

    I, don't know.

I just don't know what the right way to feel about this is. Other then being grateful they actually cut back on their amount of new movies.

There's just too much change happening too fast to the last things I grew up loving and in the world itself, and I've been feeling like I've been sprialing, just needing something to make sense, or for some kind of positive change instead of hearing of basically everything I love just being yanked off!!

    More later, maybe. -Maria

    1. Hey Maria,

I am sending love your way. I know that things have been sad lately, I know for me. I am just so sad that someone took Charlie Kirk from his family, and just how could they do that? It just breaks my heart so bad. And I didn't even get to feel for the Ukranian girl that was stabbed, or fully feel Sept 11th this year cause all I could think of was Charlie, his kids, his wife, his family, and all that loved him.

I think I want to look at this as a good thing, that less movies make them more longed for. I mean really, they have some great content mixing in the shows and Mistletoe Murders, the Baking show, and then some really good stand out movies. I miss the days going back to 2015 when there were only like 12 or so movies. Thats probably why I LOVE some of the movies from then and a bit early cause HM didn't have hundreds of movies and had those few really good movies, with a few newer movies.

I hope that if something is going on, it goes in a more positive direction. I know they wanted to be more inclusive and everything good changed in 2020, but they really let down their loyal, very long time fans, the ones who go them there. I remember just longing for the HM movies, all the live tweets, all the excitement, how there was no politics in them. I wish I could get back to that place with HM. Now, I honestly hardly watch. I'd rather watch House Hunters that I have seen a million times, or Help I wrecked my House, or older 80's movies than Hallmark. Sometimes, you get taught a lesson when you abandon and crap on all your loyal fans just to get the people that are clearly not watching the network the way some of us used to.

There are some good movies on here, and not that I like WCTH, but they can really promote the EK/T hynes movie, and that TG week, and the shows. This seems better to me.

I just felt they weren't going to have as many movies, despite people telling me they know there was 40 movies , etc.

    2. Maria, I know how comforting it can be to hold on to the familiar, especially when so much in the world feels like it’s shifting. I feel that too.

Lately, I’ve noticed how many hearts are being drawn closer to God and family, while at the same time, so much darkness is being uncovered in surprising places.

Hallmark's cozy Christmas movies have been a place (for the most part) that we knew in years past that we could escape the troubles of this world - even if just for 2 hours - where happy endings are always guaranteed, even when it seems like all hope is lost.

This Christmas, we’ll still have many sweet stories to look forward to, but even more important, the heart of Christmas never changes. For those of us who carry the joy of Jesus, we can rest in His perfect peace.

I’m reminded of His promise in John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Lean on Him, my dear friend. Jesus will carry you through.

  2. Wow, only 24 new Christmas movies on Hallmark this year!!!!! That is a significant drop in number. I’m shocked. Plus, no DaySpring movie either. That’s the biggest disappointment of all. Like you Net I always looked forward to those movies the most every year. I don’t see anything that even looks faith oriented, except Oy to the World. Only 4 or 5 really interest me based on storyline. Christie

    1. Christie, it does look like there’s no DaySpring movie this year—unless, as you said, "Oy to the World" ends up being the one.

I really miss when Hallmark wove more faith into their stories, like "The Christmas Card" or "A Veteran’s Christmas." I'm hoping we’ll still get a few meaningful faith moments in this year’s lineup.

  3. I might have been right and they are doing less movies. I know some on here know directors and such, unless they will be announcing Miracles of Christmas. I was told by everyone there will be 40, when I doubted it. They were certain. I guess times are tough at hallmark. Either too much, or them getting more political, I don't know.

I do notice many missing so I do still wonder if there is another announcement, as someone here said they know directors and there would be 40, they seemed certain. They even told me way more movies were filmed that what I pretty much already knew. Maybe for next year, or another network?

No Taylor Cole, Allison Sweeney, K Mcgarry, Kim Matula (she does one almost every year), Rachel Skarsten, Chris Mcnally, or Chandler Massey.

To make 40, there would need to be 16 on HMM and that would be ratings suicide. I wish they would move some over, or just add maybe 5 movies over there. I saw someone's article saying on Sundays they would play Christmas, and Tuesdays.

Also noticed them saying something about the NFL giving people good feelings and the values they align themselves with. Seriously????? While I do watch football, I have 2 fantasy leagues, have loved football since a kid, I do not think the NFL's values are that great. While they do suspend players, they do employ criminals and praise them too. And their endzone messages, are ridiculous. I guess its that people get the warm and fuzzies watching football on thanksgiving. But I would not call the NFL organization itself as having good values.

    1. Sabrina yes that was by me saying that there will be 40 thats because Hallmark DID say at this years UPFRONTS that there WILL be 40 Countdown To Christmas movies so they went back on their word. And I WAS told by people who would know that certain movies were for Hallmark that they decided not to air. So all of that was true but Hallmark dropped the ball and went back on their word.

  4. If all anyone feels is confusion at being misled and a ton of cynicsim, you're not alone.

Starting to feel like the ones who destroyed the network's brand just wanted to leave so they won't have to take the fall for when bankruptcy is eventually declared.

This network's downfall started when Bill Abbott was fired, and bit by bit, every, single, thing that we loved about Hallmark was changed or taken down.

Now after 5 years of being forced to weed out the good from the bad, they've just given in to terrible reality shows and airing every dirty entry from their terrible streaming service from last year, and actually getting rid of Miracles of Christmas.

Either give me an actual sign of hope for the future or just say what we're all thinking: Hallmark has officially sunken it's ship, and it can't come back from it after 5 years of loyal fans begging for it's ship to be righted.

    1. Maria, and they did it all to get the supposed viewers, that clearly are not around daily, weekly, every sat night like many of us were. Things did really sink when Bill was fired, and so what if certain actors didn't like him or his beliefs, we did, and HM was so big back then, with ratings so high and us having our actors like CCB, Lacey, and many others.

I know times are different, but it seems to me that now they have HM+ and even that is not bringing people like we had back in the Christmas Under Wraps days and Switch for Christmas. They have nothing new on + and taken all + stuff for HM. I truly figured that would happen, but I thought they would still do new content for +. This is not the hallmark we loved and I do not know that I would be back even if it changed. Their complete lack of caring for any of the people that got them to those great days.

I look forward to anything baking, though Holiday Baking is on the same night on Food network and that trumps HM for me. The Mistletoe Murders I will give a whirl. That dating 12 dates show, no way. And really another Finding Mr Christmas?? No. Just happy there is no more Christmas at Sea, that was so bad.

  5. Last thing:

This embarrassment of a lineup is why GAF needs to be supported more then ever. Because despite their low amount of new movies and constant changes, they haven't changed their values and betrayed their audiences just to have their ship unofficially 'sunk'. -Maria

  7. Wow this is so exciting to see this list and premiere dates, it is just around the corner! I am definitely going to be watching so many of these, with the exception of the same sex couple one and possibly skipping the one with Jonathan Bennett as he normally stars in same sex couple movies as well. What I really love is that a lot of these storylines are very familiar (traveling back in time, Christmas angels, naughty & nice list, being snowed in for Christmas, trying to save a business by Christmas and so on). These are the storylines that are so Hallmark, very comforting and nostalgic to me and what I remember my mom watching growing up and now we can watch them and discuss them together. These will always be my favorite kind of storylines. There are also some storylines that are not so common and that is great too, they offer a variety so that hopefully everyone can find something they like. I never understood why people would get so upset about the number of movies when Hallmaek would have the 40ish movies. It’s very simple, if you don’t like the movie don’t watch it…..I for one was always grateful of the abundance of choices. At least we were getting a large amount to choose from. Some I recorded, some I skipped, but I appreciated the options in variety. I am also super excited to finally be able to watch Murder Mysteries season 2, as season 1 was really good! Thank you for putting this post together Net! 😊

    1. Paula, I just love reading your excitement! You summed up so well what makes these movies so comforting and nostalgic... those familiar Hallmark storylines really do feel like home.

Even if the number is less, I’m so glad we’ll all have plenty of cozy options to enjoy together this season. Thank you for sharing your joy... it makes the countdown even sweeter! 🎄🎄🎄

  8. I do have 1 more thing on this HM thing. Maybe they could spend less money if they stop filming so many of these international movies. I never watch them. Tey are not ever good, usually someone using a bad fake accent, and then they have 1 or 2 shots of the place they are filming, but most of it takes place in back roads, or houses etc. And I could care less about France, or Italy, or Rome, or Belgium. I love the good old USA (eventhough I know they are filmed in Canada) but movies about the USA. How much do they spend on these international locales? They could spend less and make better movies about the USA and stop with all the travel movies. There were A LOT of those this year.

And I want more Fall movies like the good old days. Not this fall into love rubbish, but fall movies on farms, going to festivals, scarecrows, corn mazes, bobbing for apples. This years is a joke. More pumpkin movies and no more Fall Into Love.

    1. Sabrina, You know I’m all for bringing back those cozy Fall-themed movies on the farm, festivals, etc...! 🍂

I’d also love to see more Winter-themed movies in January, whether it’s snowy settings or New Year’s celebrations, even in warmer places. And if not that, at least a full *Countdown to Valentine’s Day* (like they used to do) would be okay in January. It always seems like they start playing VDay movies with only a few days left until the holiday.

Seasonal movies add so much charm, and this year we only have "Home Turf" and "Haul Out the Halloween" for Fall. I sure wish there were more.

  9. I honestly think that less movies is better too. I feel like the last 5+ years some of the Hallmark movies have been terrible. It felt like they were trying to give us quantity and not quality. I will really miss Hallmark's Miracles of Christmas on Hallmark Mysteries (formerly HMM). Those movies always seem to be more meaningful and spiritual. Whatever Hallmark may bring, I am sure I will enjoy! (Ha and my husband too, although he denies watching Christmas movies)!

    1. Alicia, Me too! I always loved the new *Miracles of Christmas* movies - filled with heart, faith, and emotion. I do wonder if some of the premieres on the Hallmark Channel were initially planned for Hallmark Mystery, such as "The More the Merrier," "A Make Or Break Holiday," and "Tidings for the Season." Those movies seem to all have a more serious, deeper tone to them that feels more like *Miracles of Christmas*, instead of the standard rom-com.

Anyway, I hope you (*whispering* and your husband) enjoy many wonderful Christmas movies!!! :)
