The poster for the Hannah Swenson Mystery is very creative. I like it! I may watch it since it’s been a while since I’ve seen a mystery, but might wait until a review.
ReplyDeleteAbigail, I completely agree! We've been following this series for so long, and I’m really curious to see where things go next. I’m feeling torn all over again about who Hannah should end up with. For the first time, I was starting to sense a real connection with Norman, but now it feels like that door might be closing AGAIN. Poor guy. And I have to say, I really like Victor Webster, too, as an actor... sooo I don't know???
DeleteHey Net, I really hope she ends up with Norman! He has always been there for her, they have natural chemistry and they are so cute when they get investigating. I will be recording both the mystery and the Hallmark movie with Kevin. We have a busy weekend but hopefully I can catch a couple Christmas movies as they are showing some gems, including The Christmas Secret, The Christmas Note and A Dream of Christmas. And amen to your encouragement Net! We need to remember God has already won the victory. We are all so busy these days and it is easy to get overwhelmed and stressed but God does Not give us the spirit of fear, that comes from the enemy and we need to recognize that. God wants us to have a mind like Christ. Blessings to you all 😊

I agree Paula, I’ve been a Norman fan since the beginning. My favorite of his is when Hannah was the prime suspect, he stayed by her side the whole time supporting her, unlike Mike. I don’t like seeing her with Chad. I love the actor, but he’s to dull this time.
DeleteAlso, wanted to let you know that I’m praying for you. California has been in the news a lot with the riots, fires and more. Stay safe.
Thank you Abigail, you are so sweet! CA is always so crazy with different things going on, sometimes I think nothing shocks me anymore but it’s definitely been shocking to see everything happening lately….so last Tuesday at our week night service, my uncle which is our pastor told us to keep our Spanish service pastor in prayer because him and his wife were stuck in Israel (they had been there for a week mission trip) and were supposed to be flying back Friday 20th but were in limbo due to the bombings in the area they were in, and not knowing if they could fly back home or not. Thankfully they were able to fly home and were there at our Sunday morning service yesterday. Just praying for Israel, our president, our whole world, including you and all of our It’s A Wonderful Movie family 😊
Delete~Paula
Abigail, You’re absolutely right!!! Sweet Norman has stood by Hannah through everything... through thick and thin! Honestly, at this point, she doesn’t even deserve him. I know they’re supposed to be just friends and all, but it’s been clear from the beginning that Norman has always felt something more for her.
DeleteIn one of the more recent Hannah movies, even her mom and sisters seemed to pick up on the spark between them. (I believe they were in Hannah's kitchen at home at the time.) Why include that kind of moment if they’re not planning to explore it eventually?
Norman is kind, thoughtful, and endlessly patient, but he’s been treated like a backup plan for far too long. Honestly, Norman has been walked over more than a doormat. He deserves someone who truly sees his worth and doesn’t just keep stringing him along.
With that said, I have yet to see the new Hannah Swensen mystery, yet, so it should be interesting to see how this one goes.
I will be continuing to lift you up in prayer for you and your family and ours here at It’s A Wonderful Movie fam. Our Country is so shockingly messed up. I. still believe and grateful to live in the best, but we desperately need a revival and wise leadership.
DeleteI’m so sorry that happened, but praise God they made it through. That must have been really encouraged knowing your church family were praying. He is so good to His children. Praise God for their safety.
And Net, yes!! I do believe Norman is too good for Hannah(as great as she is). He’s always been Mr. Helpful and a gentleman with her. He’s done so much for her and deserves to be someone’s first choice for everything. Her loss. Funny that her mother was the first to see him as wonderful for Hannah.
DeletePaula, Oh my, thank you for sharing that. I can only imagine how stressful that must have been for your uncle, as well as for your church family waiting to hear they were safe in Israel. My prayers have also been with everyone there. I’m so relieved to hear they made it home safely and were able to be at service on Sunday. That’s truly an answered prayer.
DeleteYou’re absolutely right… these are heavy times, and prayer is so needed for Israel, for our leaders, and for peace around the world. Thank you for also lifting up all of us in the It’s A Wonderful Movie family. You ALL are always in my prayers, too!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Happy Summer all! I’ll be watching that cutie Kevin McGarry in Villa Amore and A Reason for the Season. Lot’s of excellent choices with Merry Movie Weekend!!!🎄🎄🎄
ReplyDeleteAllie B, Happy Summer to you, too! You are so right... so many wonderful choices and Kevin McGarry is being featured in many good movies this weekend!!! Enjoy!!! :)
DeleteIt's a wonderful weekend of viewing.
ReplyDeletedstoutholcomb, It sure is... I wholeheartedly agree! I'm watching and recording everything I miss on FrndlyTV!!! Happy watching!!! :)
DeleteI’m watching the movie; “A Way Back Home” (2013) on Hallmark Family
ReplyDeleteStarring Austin Stowell & Kayla Ewell
We enjoyed the Villa Amore. It was cute.
ReplyDeleteWe have not been watching the Christmas movies because the ones they are showing are so not ones we care for. DO NOT like the Christmas Note or the Christmas Secret. But it just means we can come back to Hallmark when there is one we like.
Is Villa Amore kid friendly? Mine wanted to watch Nathan, but I wanted to make sure it was okay.
DeleteAnon #1, Nice to hear that you thought Villa Amore was cute!
DeleteHope you found some Christmas movies to enjoy over the weekend! :)
Thank you for letting us know! Now I will have to see it!!
DeleteI’ve been watching all of the great Christmas movies on HM. Anybody know why they are only one weekend this year?
ReplyDeleteGreat question, but I really don't know exactly why they decided to shorten the time on airing Christmas movies on Hallmark Mystery in June.
DeletePerhaps, there's an underlying message there that they will be scaling back on their holiday coverage this Christmas season??? I mean, I'm hoping not and nothing's official, but it's a definite possibility.
Villa Amore was a delightful movie. Kevin McGarry did a great job in the role he played. He was different...little more intense to me. Some of the best acting I've seem him do. Of course Eloise Mumford was great! She's always great! I highly recommend this movie!
ReplyDeleteJoyce, Thank you so much for this great review! Glad to hear that you enjoyed Kevin's character in this.
DeleteI so appreciate you sharing!!! Since you're recommending it, I know it must be good! :)

ReplyDeleteVilla Amore was such a sweet movie! Aside from the scenery, I really enjoyed seeing Kevin and Eloise together. At first I was skeptical about their chemistry as they seemed to be an odd pairing but they were very endearing to watch, seemed like a natural growth in their friendship. And I agree with Joyce, a different side of Kevin than his usual romantic comedy, which was nice to see. The part at the beginning when he had to pull over his truck and he appeared to be having a panic attack, man I just wanted to hug him! Also think it was so cute how she blurted out she loved him. It was also family friendly from what I remember.
~Paula
Paula, I appreciate you saying that about their chemistry. I was wondering how I would feel about them together. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed this pairing! :)
DeleteHey!!! Hobby Lobby is already filling shelves for Christmas items is anyone wants something special for tomorrow’s Christmas 25 movie!! I think I will watch Kevin and Kayla’s Christmas film.
