The 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards were officially held last night (Saturday, February 7, 2025) at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, California, with all the glitz and glamour.
These awards honor inspirational, family-friendly, and spiritual programming across various platforms, such as television, streaming, theater, etc...
Many celebrities were in attendance, including Candace Cameron Bure, Mario and Courtney Lopez, Cindy Busby, Cameron Mathison, Jesse Hutch, Jen Lilley, Jillian Murray, David AR White, and more!
The event was hosted by Mario Lopez, but many of the Great American Family stars were also presenters.
Great American Family shared these images below from the red carpet via social media with this caption: "LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET ✨ — We’re here at the Movieguide Awards + there’s nothing better than celebrating our family of talent."

SPOILER ALERT:
*Cameron Mathison revealed in a picture with Candace Cameron Bure and Jesse Hutch that two of them received Teddy Awards. Since Cameron wasn't nominated this year, I think it's safe to say that Candace and Jesse were winners! (By the way, the Movieguide trophy is in the shape of a teddy bear due to the name of the founder of Movieguide, Dr. Ted Baehr.)
*Roma Downey shared in her socials that "The Baxters" TV series was a big winner. Roma stated, "Thrilled that our series The Baxters took home an award for best drama and honored to have received the Visionary award as well." Masey McLain also took home a Teddy Award for "The Baxters."
*And "A Little Women's Christmas" took home the award for *Best Family TV*! (revealed by Brandon Clark Films)
There were lots more celebrities on the red carpet, and Maximo shared many of the red carpet arrivals on YouTube, including the cast of "A Little Women's Christmas," which I've shared below.

Reminder: The 32nd Annual Movieguide Awards ceremony will air on Great American Family on Thursday, March 6, 2025. If you prefer streaming, the event will be available on Great American Pure Flix the following day, March 7, 2025.
Have a wonderful weekend, and happy movie-watching, everyone!!

I can't wait to watch this.
ReplyDeleteGuess NCIS is getting snubbed, since I doubt it has a chance of the Faith and Freedom prize since that episode was just a bunch of chaotic fun that happened to air the night before the election, no mention of God included. Won't be surprised if Blue Bloods gets it since that show was always the more patriotic family show. (I don't think any of the cast members even showed up)
ReplyDelete(yeah I know it was always a long shot, but that show and it's franchise is my main hobby while this rom com hobby is just a side hobby. And it always saddens me to see it snubbed year after year by the major awards by shows that are so low rated and undeserving!).
And the already winners: Congrats. ALWC was 1 of the best ever movies and The Baxters deserves a Season 4. -Maria
Maria, That is interesting that none of the NCIS cast was there. I sometimes wonder if they know who is winning ahead of time, so they know whether or not they should come.
DeleteCongrats to all the winners! ALWC was 1 of the ultimate best and The Baxters definitely deserves a Season 4 after this! :) Can't wait to see the whole list of winners next month! -Maria
ReplyDeleteAlso, Maria... I love hearing your enthusiasm for both "A Little Women's Christmas" and "The Baxters"! That's wonderful that they were both were winners!!! :)
DeleteSince I don't get Pure Flix, I suspect that's where the unheard of (to me) "The Baxters" airs. But it's so nice to see spouses and children in some of these photos. ❤️
ReplyDeleteActually, "The Baxters" series is currently on Amazon Prime, but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually ended up on Pure Flix. There is a Great American Family connection with Masey McLain being on the series and writing for GAF. And Ted McGinley is also in "The Baxters" series and he's been on GAF, as well.
DeleteI've yet to see the series, myself, but I keep hearing good things! :)

I don't mean to be harsh, but some of these dresses are really not great. It's surprising to see these actresses, who could pull off almost anything, opt for such choices. They deserve outfits that truly reflect their beauty. It seems like someone gave them some questionable advice!
