Don't you just love how Cameron Mathison is doing the iconic Clark Griswold pose in the image above - with plugging in the Christmas lights?!?!?!

I'm absolutely ready to get plugged into the Christmas season on Great American Family!

Great American Christmas begins on October 17th, but you can jumpstart the Christmas movie excitement even earlier with Cameron Mathison and his special guests on Friday, October 11th...

  2. Hi Net, I'm not on Facebook. Do you think GAF may air this on their website or TV channel? Looking forward to all the GAF Christmas movies! xo Karen

    1. Karen, They might do that, or they may add it to their YouTube channel.

If not, I'll try to embed the video (if I can) afterwards. Are you able to see the video above with Cameron?

  3. Love the nod to Clark; National Lampoon Christmas Vacation is one of my favorite Christmas movies. I watch it every year & laugh as if it’s the first time Lol, kinda like Home Alone, it just never gets old.

    1. Paula, I absolutely love Christmas Vacation! 🤣 In my extended family, we crack each other up reciting lines from the movie and deciding who in the family is Cousin Eddie. (This movie is SO not appropriate for children and we are all quite strict about what kids are allowed to watch, but somehow most of the kids watched this one way before they should have!) ~~Jane

    2. Jane, Oh my gosh... I loooove that you and your family also say various lines from Christmas Vacation... we do that, too!!! I can just hear someone saying... "They want you to say... grace...THE BLESSING!!!" I'm cracking up just thinking about it!!!

For years we would watch it on NBC when they used to play it EVERY year, and of course, they cleaned it up a bit for regular local TV. Well, we purchased it one year on DVD, and we popped it in when we were decorating the Christmas tree. Oh... boy! It's definitely not the edited version we remembered from TV. I love that version best, and when cable plays it every year now, it's fairly close to that edited version.

    3. Jane, yes that was me & my sister who is a year younger than me. We probably watched it way before we should have 😂 We have to watch that one and other classics when our 6 year old is asleep, she is just asks too many questions Lol
And Net, I’m laughing right now with that “The Blessing” scene! It’s like whenever we watch “Christmas with the Kranks” with Tim Allen, we crack up at that one line where the robber tricks the neighbor’s boy into letting him out of the cop car to get food at the Christmas party. And he says “I haven’t eaten in 7 days” and the kid is like “ 7 DAYS!???” 😂😂😂

    4. Paula, I think we must be family because we also say that "7 Days" line in "Christmas with the Kranks"!!!!!! That little boy says it with such emphasis and surprise, we always say it with him! Oh my gosh! I love that we both do that!

We also say with Nora... "Never Say Hickory Honey Ham Again" and with the tanning salon woman, "I'm looking for a Band-Aid!" There are lots of great memorable lines and that grocery store scene always makes me laugh!!! :)

  5. I've been checking out the schedule on the website for GAF, and it looks like Christmas movies start a week earlier on October 11th.
