Great American Christmas has a very special gift for viewers; the network will begin its Christmas movies even earlier than originally expected!
According to the schedule currently listed on the Great American Family website, Christmas movies will begin on Friday, October 11th, with movies like: Destined at Christmas, A Christmas Miracle for Daisy, A Very Corgi Christmas, A Paris Christmas Waltz, Journey to Christmas, Bringing Christmas Home, and more!
The first two Christmas movie premieres on Great American Family are:
🎄 "A Vintage Christmas" - Saturday, October 19th
🎄 "Christmas Wreaths and Ribbons" - Sunday, October 20th
Also, I want to note two recent Christmas movie title changes...
🌟 "Wreaths and Ribbons" is now "Christmas Wreaths and Ribbons"
🌟 "A Shelter and Season’s Greetings" is now "Tails of Christmas"
I have updated my Christmas movie guide with these new title changes - *see here*.
May your day be Merry & Bright!

I had a gut feeling this would happen. They never said what new movie they were airing next weekend, so I figured this was probably why. -Maria
ReplyDeleteThis makes me so happy!!! I was planning on putting my tree up next week having it up always brings me joy.
ReplyDeleteGigi, We start putting up our Christmas tree when the Christmas movies begin, too! Happy decorating!!! :)
DeleteWill there actually be more? I feel like 16 is way too little.
ReplyDeleteI would rather watch 16 quality movies than 40 that are not. Less is better.
DeleteI also watch christmas movies on other channels. There are always more movies than I can watch. There are still several from the last few years that i've recorded and never watched. I guess it all depends on how much time you have on your hands.
Deletebebe, less movies do not necessarily mean quality, either
DeleteI’m ready! Let’s go!
ReplyDeleteAre they going to put any of last years movies out on dvd. I sure wish they would,
ReplyDeletewow!
ReplyDeleteI love it when Net drops these sweet warm and fuzzy little Christmas joy nuggets!

Last night during the GAF Christmas movie "A Christmas...Present", I saw the yearly, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" Big Crosby GAF commercial that they show every year at the beginning of October with snippets from some of the new upcoming Christmas movies. Always love to see that!
ReplyDeleteJim, Oh, yessss!!!!!!!! I know just what you mean! That commercial always gives me goose bumps EVERY TIME I see it or just hear it from the other room.
DeleteI know other networks like to use new songs or jingles, but I'm glad GAF sticks to Bing Crosby every year to begin their Christmas season. There's nothing like the nostalgia of classic Christmas songs, especially one like "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas"!!! My heart lifts just thinking about it!!! :)
Thank you, as always, for sharing the pure, blissful joy!!!
Hello All-
ReplyDeleteGreat comments. Yes! and ditto to the following-

GAF motivating some of us to put up the Christmas tree early.

As of this morning (Monday, October 7th), this schedule of Christmas movies is still showing up on GAF's website, beginning on Friday, October 11th, but I'm not seeing these Christmas movies in other TV guides that I usually check. I'm rather puzzled.
ReplyDeleteAre they showing up for any of you - in your TV / online guides???
Still waiting for mine to update. -Maria
DeleteNet, what I have noticed with GAF scheduling is that they took their good old time getting their guide updates sent to the other TV Guide places. I have found this frustrating on Frndly TV before where they just weren't updating the guides and couldn't record movies at times for GAF. One time I even contacted Frndly TV's customer service and told them the Frndly TV guide for GAF was not updated with what GAF is showing on their website. They basically said that they hadn't received any update for guide from GAF. Bottom line is I would trust what GAF has on their own website for scheduling (they are actually very weak in even updating their own website's guide...very limited showing ahead of time) because it always seems to take a long time for their guide updates to get updated elsewhere.
DeleteIt appears that the only GAF Christmas movie Verizon has on their schedule is Journey to Christmas on this coming Friday night. Every other movie is non-Christmas. And when I do a search for the two premiere movies the weekend of the 19th, they don't show up in the search as even existing. BUT, Verizon is notoriously very slow in getting their act together, so, hopefully, it will all be righted soon.

Mine is not showing Net. We have Xfinity Comcast cable.

My TV Guide finally updated with GAF's schedule for this week, and yes, they are showing all day Christmas movies starting Friday. -Maria
