As for new movies, Merritt Patterson just recently filmed "A Vintage Christmas" with Christopher Russell for Nicely Entertainment.

The story, according to filmink: "In the small town of Oak Creek, Noah Harrington's (Christopher Russell) unpopular construction plans take a surprising turn when he discovers a cache of old Letters to Santa from the 1990s. Seeing an opportunity for redemption, he enlists the help of town historian, Tessa Findlay (Merritt Patterson), to fulfill the long-forgotten Christmas wishes. The pair embark on a heartwarming journey, rekindling the spirit of Christmas in the community, and before too long, an undeniable spark develops. But Noah is hiding a secret: Tessa's own childhood wish is among the letters. Can Noah salvage his job and the love of his life with a Christmas wish?"

I love how this story synopsis has a "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" feel to it!

No official announcement has been made on where this will air - stay tuned!

In addition to seeing Brittany Bristow in a movie this week on Great American Family, I can also share with you that she is another actress who has been busy filming. In April, she filmed a Christmas movie with Marcus Rosner for Reel One Entertainment.

Brittany is currently filming a new movie—today, in fact, is day one! She hasn't revealed her co-star yet, but she is encouraging her followers to guess who it might be.

Here is a behind-the-scenes screengrab from her new movie-

UPDATE: Brittany Bristow has revealed her co-star in her new movie is... Will Kemp!

I hope you all enjoy the movies
this week on Great American Family!

Happy watching, Everyone!

    1. Maria, You're welcome! I'm also looking forward to hearing more on Brittany's movies and learning who co-star #2 is. She gave three clues:
      1. He's very funny
      2. He can bust a move
      3. We've been friends for... 7 years

I really have no idea, but a lot of actors could fit these clues.

    2. Brittany posted the answer to who her costar is… he is Will Kemp!!!!!

Love him!!! Her first & second clue are absolutely spot on.

    1. Chris, Thank you for sharing that! I will be doing the same thing. And even if I have to leave for an errand or something, I'll be sure to leave my TV on Great American Family.

Plus, I'm looking forward to rewatching some of my favorites, too! :)

  3. Hey Net - I am sure both of us are looking forward to A Vintage Christmas because it has a couple of our faves - Christopher Russell for you, Merritt Patterson for me.

But I have to say...l'm feeling really old when the plot summary talks about "a cache of old letters to Santa...FROM THE 1990'S"! Sheesh! I mean, I get it because Merritt's character's letter is included in the bunch, but to me something from the 1990's is not something I would consider "old". Perhaps the '70's and earlier, but after that, uh-uh. Or do I feel this way because I am not a young one like our friend Maria anymore? Anyone else feel like I do?

    1. Mark, I know what you mean. I definitely don't consider the 1990's to be old. Like Merritt Patterson, my letters to Santa would be dated then, too! :)

    2. Hmm, I'm not sure. I was born in 94, so my movie and tv days were most likely Barney, Scooby Doo, Magic School Bus, Dragon Tails, and Power Ranger's, & Disney classics. If the 90's are considered old, I guess that includes me but I don't feel it....thinking again, yep, agree with Mark 70's or 80's.

    3. I don’t think we should consider any particular decade to be “old”. Instead of old, any decade that isn’t current, should just be labeled as the past.

  4. “A Vintage Christmas” sounds lovely. A story that has the ingredients of letter writing with wishes coming true is a perfect Christmas story recipe.
Signed, Sealed & Delivered is a special series and share with many viewers the delight of the upcoming episodes.

  6. So looking forward to both of these movies! But I have no idea who Brittany’s costar could be….. hmmmm maybe Dan Jeannotte? They were super cute together in the royal movie they did for GAF. And also, I was looking on her IMBD and I found a movie she did from last year called Merry Mystery Christmas, has anyone here seen it? I wonder where I can watch it….

    1. Paula, It looks like FuboTV and AppleTV+ might have "Merry Mystery Christmas" to stream.

"Merry Mystery Christmas" premiered last year in Canada on their W Network, so I'm wondering if a network here in the U.S. might pick it up this year. That sometimes happens. Sounds like it would be a perfect fit for Hallmark Mystery.

    2. My understanding is that Merry Mystery Christmas was to be aired by Lifetime in 2023 however as we know Lifetime curtailed it's programme severely and this is one which was ditched turning up as Net has said on WNetwork in Canada.

It centres around a series of thefts of Christmas decorations around town and a smooth rather too good to be true mayor seeking re-election.

Brittany, a news reporter teams up with a local detective to try to solve the mystery.

If I hadn't known I would have guessed that this was an ION movie because it had that ION-istic feel to it - constant music ,OTT, rather corny but actually quite amusing it's certainly lighthearted.

ION of course ditched airing any new Christmas product at all last year..

It won't take you long to see where the plot is heading but there is an unexpected twist at the end.

Where the movie scores heavily is the chemistry between Brittany and Olivier (Renaud) and their banter is amazing.

Personally I enjoyed it and do think it's worth a watch - Florence's rating 7

    3. Florence, Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful review!

I know exactly what you mean by the over-the-top music; it can be like fingernails on a chalkboard drowning out the dialogue.

However, I'm glad the chemistry is good! Your rating of *7* is fairly high, which makes me hope even more that it will be picked up by one of the networks this year. I'm game for a corny, lighthearted holiday movie. Perhaps, Lifetime will roll it out this year! :)

  8. While it's not a gimme the odds would be on Hallmark for the new Bristow/ Kemp movie - Florence

    1. Florence, I totally agree, especially since Will Kemp signed a multi-picture deal with Hallmark Media in 2022. Likely, this film falls under that deal.

  9. Baby Gus is now 6 months old! Can you believe it?!! He's still going through his ups and downs, but God has been faithful keeping him stable. The parents are praising God for him making it to his half birthday and asking for prayers for his kidneys.
