Some fun Christmas movie news is being reported by CTV News Atlantic.
The news outlet is reporting... A new holiday film titled "Christmas Land stars and is produced by Halifax-based actors, as well as real-life married couple, Meghan Ory (Chesapeake Shores) and John Reardon (The Christmas Secret, Hudson and Rex)."
Meghan Ory told CTV that their film "is about a town that is devoted to Christmas, and we're shooting in Mahone Bay (Nova Scotia), where the town is devoted to Christmas."
According to the Mahone Bay Tourism website, during their Father Christmas event - "The town is dressed in holiday style, abundant with twinkling lights, fragrant greenery, and Christmas characters."
Regarding the title... I wonder if they have any idea that Hallmark already has another Christmas movie with that same title. If this movie is indeed for Hallmark, I'm sure they will have to change the title somewhat.
You can see an interview with Meghan Ory and John Reardon on the CTV Atlantic Website! After you visit there - be sure to stop back here and share your thoughts on this Christmas movie, which CTV is reporting is coming to the Hallmark Channel this upcoming Christmas.
In more Christmas movie news... *Merry Movie Week* is coming in June to Hallmark Mystery!!!!!

Looking over the Merry Movie Week schedule, it's a nice mix of the old and the new. Plus, it's nice to see some oldies that Hallmark hasn't shown in a while, such as Journey Back to Christmas (one of my favorite Candace movies).
ReplyDeleteMark 25, Yes, so good to see a terrific blend of old & new Christmas! They even squeezed one of our favorites in... "The Christmas Secret"! Hopefully, if they revise the schedule any, they will still keep that one!

Meghan & John’s first Christmas movie together
ReplyDeleteNice to see Hallmark is still keeping Merry Movie Week. -Maria
ReplyDeleteGreat to see John Reardon back.
ReplyDeleteLoved Love On The Sidelines - Florence
It’s nice to see John again. He seems to come and go on Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteI hope this Christmas movie is better than that awful movie Meghan did last year.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this Merry Movie Week is the beginning of Christmas in July and will keep rolling in and through July together with the Hallmark Channel or is this a one week only deal?
ReplyDeleteJim, Usually the Christmas movies are only a week or so on Hallmark Mystery, but they typically run much longer on the Hallmark Channel.
DeleteIn fact, I just checked my archived Christmas Schedule from last year - and the Hallmark Channel ran Christmas movies ALL month long, and Great American Family almost went the whole month, too, starting on June 30th and ending on July 29th!
I sure hope Great American Family will bring us Christmas movies in July again this year! I know MANY are really wanting their movies to return, and I sure hope they can give that to us.
Sooo fun to look forward to it ALL with YOU!!!!! :)

Wow talk about providence!! I’ve been binge watching Hudson & Rex and was just thinking how John & Meghan should do a movie together!! So excited!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool you were just thinking that! Have you seen the Hudson & Rex episodes where Meghan guest stars? I haven't seen them, myself, so I was just curious what kind of character she portrays.
DeleteI see repeats already..A time for them to come home
ReplyDelete1st wave of celebrity guests for Christmas Con NJ was announced today, lot of our Hallmark favs, including 2 of our GAF peeps: https://people.com/christmas-con-2024-stars-lacey-chabert-tyler-hynes-andrew-walker-more-exclusive-8643400

Yes, that should be another fun event for Christmas fans!
DeleteIf I could just meet two celebrities in attendance, I would choose Jen Lilley and Lacey Chabert! Who would you pick?
This is how it's listed on ACTRA: Christmasland – Hallmark Feature (Apr 29 – May 16)
ReplyDeleteThey're usually accurate with the network platforms.
Denise, Thank you for sharing this info with us! That is interesting that the title is written as one complete word on the ACTRA website, while the CTV article listed it as two. I imagine papers were submitted to ACTRA, while the CTV reporter likely only learned the name through word of mouth.
DeleteAppreciate you sharing! :)

You're welcome!
DeleteI like both of them so i am definitely looking forward to this movie.
