"Blue Ridge: The Series" Coming to INSP

Good news for "Blue Ridge: The Series"! According to Variety, "Independent cabler INSP, focused on Western programming, will premiere its original television series “Blue Ridge” July 28 at 9 p.m. ET."

Recently, the series was #1 on the popular streamer, Plex, and premiered throughout the month of April and May on the streaming source, The Cowboy Way Channel.

Based on the popular film Blue Ridge, which premiered in 2020, "Blue Ridge: The Series" is a six-episode procedural crime drama set in the lush and forbidding mountains of North Carolina.

Details via Imagicomm Entertainment:
Actor Johnathon Schaech is joined by a stellar cast in Season 1, including Sarah Lancaster (Chuck, Everwood, Christmas in the Smokies) as Elli Wise; A Martinez (Longmire, The Cowboys, Dark Winds) as Connor McGrath; Taegen Burns (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, The Right Stuff, Imaginary) as Maddie Wise; Tom Proctor (Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Justified, Guardians of the Galaxy) as Jeremiah Wade; Avianna Mynhier (The Walking Dead) as Deputy Maxx Covington; and Greg Perrow (The Warrant, Festival of Trees) as Deputy RP.

Special guest stars include Bruce Boxleitner, Max Martini, Ethan Embry, Mike O’Hearn, Erin Cahill, Jesse Kove, Lev Cameron and Jessica McKay.

NOTE: Due to violence, this series is best suited for a mature audience, pre-teen age and up. Otherwise, all episodes are family-friendly.

I hope many of you who were unable to stream this series, will be able to enjoy it this summer on INSP.

I previously received this wonderful review from RC back in April, and I just had to share it with all of you again...

🌟 Just watched the Blue Ridge movie for the first time and then the two episodes that have been released thus far. I am loving it!! So refreshing to see non-woke, old-fashioned themes in entertainment. A noble lawman who puts his life on the line for his family and his community. Masculinity depicted as something good, not toxic. Women who are strong without losing their femininity, unlike the feminist girlbosses we see in other media. A man who has taken responsibility for the mistakes that led to his divorce and is determined to win back his ex-wife. A romance in which the man serves and cares for the woman, and the woman respects and admires the man. But I think my favorite thing about the show is what it says about America. Our country has its dysfunctional subcultures, and one of those is definitely represented here by the feuding clans whose tribalistic mentality justifies violence and cheapens life. But then you have the main character who exemplifies the best of the American spirit: courage, individualism, personal responsibility, service, and traditional morals. And it’s a beautiful thing to see the best of America triumph over the worst of America. That’s one of the themes of American history and I love seeing that acknowledged. ~RC

Thank you, RC, again for sharing this fantastic review.

If any of you enjoyed the action-packed adventures and mystery of the movie Blue Ridge, then I believe you are going to love the same action, danger, and excitement in "Blue Ridge: The Series"!

Happy watching!
