You're invited to join in with us at *It's a Wonderful Movie* as we highlight the 25th day of every month by watching a Christmas movie as we Countdown to Christmas!

I haven't seen Miracle in Bethlehem, PA, yet, as I've been saving it as one of my last Christmas movies to watch from 2023, and I still have quite a few to go before I get there. So, I'm not watching that tonight, but I do have it recorded, and I'm looking forward to watching it one day!

After giving it some thought, I've decided my Christmas movie pick to *Mark the 25th* is... A Joyous Christmas! This is such an inspirational, heartwarming movie; I simply adore the sweet woman, Joy, and the "Christmas Memories" song near the end is so beautiful; it always brings tears to my eyes! Plus, the end is so warm and cozy; A Joyous Christmas always leaves me feeling good inside.

So, that's my movie choice in honor of the first 25th in 2024. Please share your own Christmas movie pick to *Mark the 25th* in the comment section below.

*JOY*ful Blessings to You All,

  2. Hey Net,

I am not sure if you noticed, but in Feb HMM stopped playing Christmas Thursdays. I think the 1st week they are, but after that, no. Not sure why they always do that. They play commercials with it, the movie stack, but then they stop it. I prefer that channels Christmas movies. Mostly cause HM only plays recent movies, and they repeat the movies after only 1 month.

I am happy they are playing the movie we call Garland on Friday. I will tune in for that.

    1. Sabrina, Yeah, I was bummed to see the Christmas movies drop off of the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries schedule in mid-February. They did the same thing to us last year, then brought them back eventually.

I totally agree with you, while I liked the replay of 2023 Christmas movies, since they were airing 2, HMM should have played one old and one new, instead of both new. People like the comfort of a classic movie they love, even if they've seen it numerous times. Movies like "The Christmas Card" and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" NEVER get old, no matter how many times I see them.

Also, I, too, thought the Friday night Christmas movie choice starring Candace was an interesting choice for the Hallmark Channel... "That's Garland for you!"

Great to hear from you, Sabrina! :)

  6. I love your choice Net! That is a yearly movie I watch too ;) So for the 25th I watched Christmas in the Smokies. I love Sarah Lancaster, wish she still made movies for Hallmark.

  7. I so enjoyed both movies that Hallmark is showing tonight. I have both recorded but I will watch them as they are being shown tonight.
I might be one of the few that do not care for A Joyous Christmas. My husband enjoys it.
I hope you enjoy your viewing.

  9. I was going to watch one of the Christmas 2023 movies still waiting on my dvr (maybe My Christmas Hero or A Biltmore Christmas), but now I think I'm changing my mind and going with Net's choice. I haven't watched A Joyous Christmas in quite a while so I've pulled it out and put it at the top of the list. I'm also considering Christmas Next Door and two favorite oldies that I didn't have time to watch in December -- White Christmas and Holiday Inn. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I can squeeze in two on this rainy, cozy evening! ~~Jane

    1. Jane, I still love those older classics, too, and like you, I always try to catch them every Christmas. I did catch White Christmas, but I must add Holiday Inn to my watch list! I love that one, too, and well, it's really perfect for any time of year since it highlights all of the holidays.

I hope you were able to enjoy many good ones over the weekend. Blessings, Net

I watched To All A Good Night. So hard to believe we're already at the Mark the 25th Christmas tradition we all love....thanks to Net! Great choice on your movie Net! I cry every time I watch it. Especially when Joy starts playing that soulful song close to the end of the movie! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

    1. Joyce, Thank you for sharing your Christmas movie pick! I only have a couple left from HMM to watch, and that's one of them. I feel like that's one I heard very little about over Christmas, so I'm rather curious about it.

And, oh yes, that song at the end of "A Joyous Christmas"!!! Sooo beautiful!!! Just like the song says, it "makes me cry."

I hope you had a nice weekend, too. Blessings, Net

  11. My "Mark the 25th" movie was Christmas in Mississippi, which is probably one of the few movies (if not the only) in Lifetime that I loved. I hadn't watched it for years and I remember liking it so much back then. It felt like watching a "new" movie because I actually forgot about the whole storyline :)

    2. CH Mom, I also like "Christmas in Mississippi" very much! Jana Kramer and Wes Brown are such a cute match in it, and I love Faith Ford as her mom! You're sooo right, it's one of those rare good ones from Lifetime. Glad you enjoyed your rewatch! :) Blessings, Net

  12. Jim, I know what you mean, it's always sad to see the Christmas dΓ©cor/lights come down, but that makes it all the joyous, I suppose, that we'll get to do it all over again!

We had our big Christmas family celebration a little later (mid-January), so it was nice to hold onto the joy of Christmas a little longer.

Hope you enjoyed watching "My Christmas Hero." Candace and Gabe are both great in it, and the meaning is so powerful.

    Happy (belated) 25th!!! Blessings, Net

  15. Jim, How awesome!!! That sounds like a perfect dream! Thank you for describing the twinkling lights and all of it for us.

I have to ask, did you wear your Christmas sweater??? If not, maybe next time. :)
