πŸ”Ž Attention: Sleuthers πŸ”Ž Two MYSTERY Book Series πŸ“š to become TV MOVIES πŸ‘€ See WHO Acquired Them:

I have some juicy mystery movie news today! Get the scoop below, Sleuthers, on TWO mystery book series- soon-to-be TV movies!

Author Nancy Robards Thompson posted this exciting movie news to her followers on Instagram:

My Wedding Bell Mysteries series has a TV/movie deal. I’m over the moon!! πŸŽ¬πŸΏπŸ˜‚

Nancy shared this news with this image below, which gives further details:

Author Nancy Robards Thompson's book A Crime of Fashion (The Wedding Bell Mysteries):

A special thank you to Denise, who is a thoughtful and wonderful friend here at It's a Wonderful Movie, for sharing with me this news on A Crime of Fashion becoming a TV movie - to share with all of you!

After learning this tip, I did a little more sleuthing and discovered Author Candace Havens shared some similar news with her Instagram followers:

"Very excited about my first tv/movie deal for my Ainsley McGregor series. :)"

Candace Havens shared this news with this image below, which gives further details:

Author Candace Havens' book A Case for the Winemaker (Ainsley McGregor Book 1):

If you read both descriptions in the images above closely, you will see that both writers have made a book series/movie deal with Candy Rock Entertainment!

Candy Rock Entertainment is (according to their website)... "a joint-venture between award-winning actress, producer and New York Times Best Selling Author Candace Cameron Bure and the full-service development and execution team behind Redrock Entertainment."

In 2022, Candace filmed her Great American Family Christmas movie, A Christmas... Present, with Candy Rock Entertainment and produced Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, which starred her friend and fellow Full House cast member, Andrea Barber.

This year, Candace's new military-themed Christmas film, My Christmas Hero, was produced by Veteran Productions in association with Candy Rock Entertainment and Syrup Studios. Candace also produced another Christmas film this year with Candy Rock Entertainment, A Christmas for the Ages, starring her daughter, Natasha Bure, Kate Craven, and legendary actress, Cheryl Ladd, of Charlie's Angels!

Please know - I have not read either book mentioned above, but I would love to hear your thoughts in comments below if you've read one or both.

Some of the best-loved mystery series on TV were inspired by book series, including Garage Sale Mysteries, Murder, She Baked, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, and more!

It's unclear who may be cast in these new mystery projects, but I have a hunch or two! How 'bout you? It appears both mystery series will be coming at a future date to Great American Family. We'll have to see how the actor's strike will affect these future filming projects until a deal is made.

If you have any clues or guesses, please share your thoughts in comments below.

Stay tuned for more details, Sleuthers!
Happy movie-watching!

  1. This is very exciting news for GAF! Wonder if the project was in the works before the strike? My guess is that Candace and Natasha will star in the Wedding Bell Mysteries and Lori will star in the Ainsley McGregor Series. It will be fun for all of us to guess who will be starring in the series. GAF fans are going to love having some new mystery series! (This includes me!!)

  4. How exciting!!! I have so missed our ‘old’ mysteries such as Aurora and Garage Sale! Can’t wait to see who they get to star in these movies

  5. This is such exciting news Net! Both movies sound great, the one with the bridal boutique owner reminded me a little of “Wedding Planner Mystery” with Andrew Walker, I watched it on my Hallmark On Demand. Candace Cameron Bure clearly has a love for the sleuthing so this is great that although Aurora is no longer, she can still produce some mysteries for GAC! I have absolutely no idea who the leads could be….since they will be on GAC maybe Jessica Lowndes or Cindy Busby? I love fellow GAC actresses Lori, Danica & Jill but would not like to see them lead these new mysteries as I already am so used to seeing them in their own mystery series it wouldn’t be believable for me. Looking forward to more clues on this from you Net!

  6. Net, thanks for the sleuthing. πŸ•΅️‍♀️πŸ•΅️‍♂️ Aurora would be proud.
Bring on the mystery movies! The premise in both is open to lots of storylines. GAF is again bringing to the screen the movies many of us will enjoy.

  7. I am a huge reader although I have never read a book from either author. I am a member of goodreads so I looked up both books similiar ratings and reviews for both. Candace Evans book the Ainsley McGregor series has so far 5 books. With one of the books being called The Case for Toy Maker so maybe we will get a cozy mystery for Christmas next year. She also has a Christmas series although she only wrote one book Christmas at Holiday Peak. Nancy Robards Thompson The Wedding Bell Mysteries has 3 books so far with Slay Bells Rings as. book 1. She also has some Christmas books as well.

  11. I haven't read these books, but they both have high ratings on Goodreads. Excited for more mysteries on GAC! And they have so many good mystery actors: CCB, Lori Loughlin, Jill Wagner or maybe someone new. Jillian Murray might be a good mystery actress.
