Immagicomm Entertainment previously announced they would be creating a new series titled Blue Ridge, which is a follow-up to their original movie of the same name.
The film Blue Ridge first premiered on the INSP network on March 13, 2021, and starred Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do!) as Sheriff Justin Wise and Sarah Lancaster (Christmas in the Smokies, Along Came a Nanny, Fir Crazy) as Justin's ex-wife, Ellie. Taegen Burns (I Can Only Imagine), pictured above with Johnathon and Sarah, portrayed their daughter, Maddie. All three have returned for the Blue Ridge series, which is currently filming in North Carolina.

Due to some fairly obvious messages on social media, there's also buzz that Erin Cahill (A Timeless Christmas, Christmas on the Range) has joined the Blue Ridge cast.
First, Johnathon Schaech posted a long message on Instagram which included the comment, "Can't wait for everyone to see #BlueRidgeTV"
Erin Cahill responded with, "Cannot wait! So so so excited!! ♥️"
Then Johnathon replied, "Can't wait to have you in #BlueRidgeTv"
This would not be the first time Erin Cahill has worked with Immagicomm Entertainment. She starred in their holiday movie, Christmas on the Range, back in 2019. I had the joy of interviewing Erin then for that movie project.
Actor Bruce Boxleitner (Cedar Cove, Matchmaker Mysteries, Holiday Date) has also been pictured on set during filming. This image of him and Actor A Martinez (Longmire) makes one wonder if these two may portray rivals in the Blue Ridge series. A Martinez also previously starred in Christmas on the Range with Erin Cahill. It all comes full circle, doesn't it?
Immagicomm Entertainment will have even more details on this project soon. Until then, I've included their previous press release below.
Press Release:
(Indian Land, SC – March 9, 2023) –Imagicomm Entertainment, content distributor and owner of Cowboy Way FAST channel, has announced the development of a new action-crime series based on the 2020 film, Blue Ridge.
The announcement comes from Jonathan Collins, VP of Digital Media Distribution for Imagicomm Entertainment. “The film introduced several story arcs perfect for episodic development,” noted Collins. “The series expands the film’s storyline and reprises the role of Johnathon Schaech (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, That Thing You Do!) as Sheriff Justin Wise. With the addition of new characters, each episode will take viewers deeper into the mystery, intrigue, and suspense.”
In the film, former Green Beret, Justin Wise, leaves his dangerous life to be near his ex-wife and young daughter. As sheriff of a small, sleepy town cut out of the Blue Ridge Mountains, his quiet life is soon disrupted as he tries to keep the mountain community safe from violence and corruption.
The first episode of Blue Ridge, the series, will debut in late 2023 or early 2024 on Cowboy Way FAST channel. Production is underway in the Greater Charlotte, NC area. More information, including cast and premiere date, will soon be announced.

Sarah Lancaster is one of my favorites and I really enjoyed the movie. Sounds like a good concept. There are so many different ways options for storylines.

ReplyDeleteSO COOL!! This was a really good movie! I’m so glad they’re making more! I hope they live up to the original....but does anything really ever? I hate to see the changed the deputies. I wonder if Bruce Boxleitner plays her dad? Looking forward to this release! Hope it’s good and clean! -Anonymous1
ReplyDeleteThis looks so good. I love Sarah Lancaster and I love Erin Cahill. Win win!
ReplyDeleteI saw a commercial about a “Mom-a-Thon” on Morher’s Day. For more information, go to the Cozi TV Twitter account. Go down until you see a video of “Little House on the Prairie” (maybe from May 9th). The actress who played Ma Ingalls will share her remembrances of some scenes, etc. Hope this is information someone can use. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and any woman who make a difference in a kid’s life! Will you join me in praying for all mothers? Will you also pray with me for women for whom Mother’s Day may be a tough day: Women missing their mom or grandmother who have passed away, mothers who are grieving the loss of a child including any type of infant loss, women who are longing for a baby yet are experiencing infertility (There are some beautiful contemporary Christian songs about this topic.), and any other woman for whom motherhood hasn’t happened due to circumstances beyond her control. Wishing all of them the peace and comfort that God provides!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the movie. I bet the show will be great. Johnathan Schaech is originally from my county.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really cool. Can I dare to hope it’s as good as it sounds?
ReplyDeleteJust realized I have this channel through Frndly. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Net for alerting me to this.
Not really something which would interest me.
ReplyDeleteHallmark's Cedar Cove cured me of ever getting interested in Series anymore - Florence
