At my house this weekend, it's probably going to be a mix of movies and basketball. We'll see which one wins out. It'll will probably depend on which teams play Saturday and Sunday and how the bracket breaks down. Of course, Sunday is always first and foremost, a day of worship for us, as well.
Whatever you watch or do, I hope you all have a great weekend planned. It's going to be a cold one for us, with possibly some snow flurries. Who knows, I may end up watching another Christmas movie I have recorded!
However, I'm also looking forward to the First Day of Spring on Monday, March 20th! I love that UPtv is airing inspirational *Bring the Spring* programming leading up until Easter Sunday!
Please note: I haven't pre-screened the NEW movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments.
I hope you all have a wonderful Mid-March weekend!
Blessings,
Net
💕 SHARING HIS LOVE: 💕
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV)

Had to look really hard to recognise Paul Campbell - Florence
ReplyDeleteFlorence, Yeah, I thought Paul looked different, too, with the glasses. The storyline says Paul's character is smart, so maybe, they thought the glasses would highlight that trait since the stereotype of people who wear glasses is typically intelligent and hardworking. Based on looks alone, these two seem like a odd couple, but opposites attract, right?
DeleteDefinitely gonna try to watch God bless the broken road this time! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I've somehow missed previous showings of this movie, too. Plan to record it this weekend.
DeleteHallmark finally air St. Patrick’s Day movies
ReplyDeleteAs Luck Would Have
The Sweeter Side of Life
They could’ve air Chasing Leprechauns': The Hallmark original movie
I’m hoping Kris’ movie is fan ok y friendly, but don’t have my hopes up since his Christmas movie wasn’t. I have no interest in the new mystery.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day! Thanks for the update of movies! Hallmark would finally have an already married couple solving mysteries and me not caring for the actors. Oh, well! May give it a try.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Misty, Glad to hear you enjoyed the weekend movie update. I agree, this new mystery does sound intriguing. Hopefully, it's as good as the promos look! It's really unusual for a new mystery movie to begin (assuming they are planning more of these) with the main leads already married. I think that definitely adds an interesting element to the story. Would love to know your thoughts on it - if you decide to watch.
DeleteHave a great weekend! :)
I hope A Winning Team is family friendly. I'm such a big fan of Kris Polaha. We will be following the NCAA too! A lot to choose from this weekend!
ReplyDeleteBy the way Net, I love the new fonts you're using. Happy weekend my friend!
Joyce, Me too, regarding A Winning Team! I don't have much interest in soccer, but hope it's good because of Kris!
DeleteThank you also for mentioning the fonts! I love to play with different looks and create new things. So sweet of you to notice and mention! :)
Enjoy watching NCAA this weekend and the movies. My bracket is all messed up now. Oh well... there's always next year!
Net...I do the bulletins and prayer bulletins at my church. I love different fonts too. :)
DeleteWhat Movies are you looking forward seeing this weekend?
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day.
lots of basketball on at our house, too
ReplyDeleteI will be trying out that mystery on Monday on the Hallmark TV app and will let you know if family-friendly.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me.....I can't stand that haircut on Kristoffer Polaha.😂😂😂
Abigail, Same here! I think it's longer and it's brushed forward in this movie. As nice looking as he usually is - this style is just not, in my opinion, great on him. Glad to hear you agree! :)
DeleteSt. Patrick’s Day ☘️ Movies
ReplyDeleteThe Sweeter Side of Life (2013)
The Luck of the Irish
Chasing Leprechauns
Leaping Leprechaun
Spellbinder: Leaping Leprechaun
As Luck Would Have It
The Gnome-Mobile
Darby O’Gill & the Little People
I'll probably watch the mystery marathons this weekend. Aurora Teagarden and GSM are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteA Winning Team is family friendly. Acting was good but not much chemistry between the leads...of course that's just my opinion.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, Thank you for sharing this review. I was kinda wondering about the chemistry from the promos alone. I got that same feeling. Guess it's hard when we've seen him so great with Jill Wagner. Good to know it's family friendly, at least. :)
DeleteA Winning Team is family friendly about when a professional soccer play named Emily Chen finds herself no longer in the game, she teams uo with a small-town coach Ian Avila to her Niece Ava’s team to the playoffs. Emily Chen steps up A’s volunteer coach for her Niece Ava
ReplyDeleteLacey Chabert & Lindsay Lohan Christmas movie?
ReplyDeleteMean Girls 2 plus a Lohan-Chabert Yuletide team-up? Fingers crossed.
I started watching The Cases of Mystery Lane like 15 min late. It was ok...not much chemistry between the leads to me when a side character said he was in love with the character that died, then I knew that was when I decided to turn it off. Not missing much at all as I wasn't watching Hallmark for almost a year.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Misty, Thank you for sharing this detail about the new mystery. It's too bad they had to include that. I guess that's typical these days. So disappointing.
DeleteI didn't watch it myself, but people were commenting on Facebook that "The Cases of Mystery Lane" has a gay couple in it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know this info.
DeleteThe Case of Mystery Lane is family friendly about Alden and Birdie Case find a new way to keep the mystery in their marriage alive. Alden takes classes to become a private investigator, and Birdie may hold the key to solving one of his mysteries.
ReplyDeleteThe Cases of Mystery Lane was not a winner for me. First, too many holes and coincidences in the storyline. (For example, how was the killer able to hang the first victim?) But most of all, Paul's character is pretty much a nerd (hence, the glasses), yet a nerd who has no problem in acting cocky or being humorous in times of danger. His character was not believable at all. The ending implies more of these mysteries are on the way, but I will be passing on them.
ReplyDeleteMark 25, I appreciate you sharing your take on Paul's character. I can totally see the way you described him - being nerdy and cocky. That's so interesting. Based on how you and others described him and the movie, it's a pass for me.
DeleteThank you, Mark, for taking the time to share. (Mark the 25th is coming up!)
The Cases of Mystery Lane is not family-friendly. The victim was gay. They made it seem so normal too, very disturbing.
ReplyDeleteI was about to stop watching anyway, didn't like how the wife acted like she was "best friends" with the guy at work and never have time for her husband. And the characters were too cheesy anyway.
I didn't browse the Hallmark tag on Twitter last night, but I'm not surprised in the slightest given Paul's constant support of the woke agenda the past 3 years. -Maria
DeleteAbigail, So thankful you shared this review for "The Cases of Mystery Lane." I was hoping this would be a cute mystery, but unfortunately, based on the reviews, I'll be skipping this one.
DeleteThank you for sharing with us! :)
A Winning Team with Kristoffer Poloha was the least watched movie on the main Hallmark Channek this year at 1.38m.
ReplyDeleteEven more disastrous the key demo (don't ask me what this is because I really don't understand it but it's something to do with the target audience for advertsisers) was 0.1 - yes you are reading that right, nought point one.
Disaster - Florence
For those saying A Winning Team is clean, it's not. The movie very sneakily snuck in a gay man in that zip lining scene with the instructor saying that he wishes that his 'partner' (aka, now code for 'same sex romantic interest' in these movies, unfortunately) would be more adventerous to him.
ReplyDelete(and I know this because a reviewer that I enjoy who is also frustrated with Hallmark mentioned it in her review.). -Maria
