People.com has announced some exciting movie news for Great American Family... Danica McKellar (The Wonder Years, Crown for Christmas, Christmas at the Drive-In) to star in Swing into Romance, as part of the network's Autumn Harvest movie event!

In this new film, Danica McKellar will portray "former dancer Christine Sims, who temporarily returns to her hometown for the Fall Festival and learns that her family's General Store is struggling. In order to help save the business, Christine will need to dust off her dancing shoes and face her ex-fiancΓ© — and she may even find love in the process." The story was written by Danica's husband, Scott Sveslosky, and the screenplay was written by Marcy Holland. Danica McKellar serves as one of the executive producers, along with Brad Krevoy, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, David Anselmo, and produced by Kelly Martin.

This is the second Autumn Harvest movie announced for Great American Family with a dancing theme. Trevor Donovan will also star in an autumn movie in which he'll have a choreographed dance sequence. His movie will include his anti-bullying initiative, Team Upstanders, and he will portray a teacher. Both Trevor Donovan and Danica McKellar are alums of the Dancing Competition Show, Dancing With the Stars.

Soon after filming Swing into Romance, Danica McKellar will also be filming her recently announced Christmas movie, Royal Christmas Ball. Danica's co-star has yet to be announced for either film.

I think this movie announcement is such wonderful news for this growing network, Great American Family!

  5. I also love hearing these reports. My husband and I enjoy the Great American Family channel for what it represents. We support the channel, wholeheartedly! We know the movies will be wholesome. Plus, I have been a fan of Danica's for years. She is conservative. She is polite and respectful of others. And she excels in Math and makes Math fun. I think she is a great role model for young girls. She shows it is okay to be a girl who likes Math! :-)

    1. Hi Chris!
Here are my favorite Danica McKellar movies:
"Love and Sunshine", "Coming Home for Christmas", "Very, Very Valentine", "Crown for Christmas". "Very, Very Valentine" is my personal favorite. I watch it every time it airs. I think she and Cameron have amazing chemistry. :-) Lifelong friends who become a couple is something I have personal experience with. My husband and I were friends first and then fell in love. The strong friendship helped us bond and helped us build a solid foundation which has lasted for many years.
