A Prince in Paradise
Also known as: A Royal in Paradise
Starring: Rhiannon Fish and Mitchell Bourke

Movie Reviews:
π A Prince in Paradise a nice and enjoyable movie. -Maria
π A Prince In Paradise was more than I expected. I fell in love with the lead guy. He and Rhiannon Fish were perfect together. It was relaxing and enjoyable. This is a keeper for me! ~kitkat
π A Prince in Paradise is family friendly movie is the best. Olivia Perkins is struggling writer’s block after a breakup with Kyle when she takes a tropical Holliday to Haven Isles in hopes of some inspiration so, she goes with Katie & she meets Prince Alexander Barclay the 3rd of Torova, who needs distance from his upcoming duty to marry royalty. Prince Alexander receives an invitation from Dr. Lee for Fundraiser in Haven iIsles. (SPOILER ALERT!) Prince Alexander is with his bodyguard named Winston. Winston is with Katie. Olivia is with Prince Alexander. Queen Patricia is with Ridley. Kyle is with Tiffany or without her. Olivia has written another books called; “A Prince in Paradise”. Olivia video chat with Erica about Romance, Royalty, & Tropical Islands. Erica asks about Olivia & Prince Alexander or books so, Olivia replies both. Since Prince Alexander’s Mother named Queen Patricia sends Ridley to spy on Prince Alexander in Haven Isles when Winston & Prince Alexander arrive in paradise; “Haven Isles”, for Fundraisers. ~Anonymous
π A Prince in Paradise – The story was simple and sweet, a bit cheesy at times, but mostly family-friendly minus some of the wardrobe. The swimsuits worn on the beach were too revealing for my taste, along with Rhiannon’s dress choice for the charity function. Overall, in my opinion, this film is not a stand-out for the royal-themed movies; the romance portion was way too instant. Not a keeper for me, personally, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it for family viewing based on the clothing choices. ~Net
From Chicago With Love
Also known as: Lease on Love
Starring: Rebecca Liddiard and Dan Jeannotte
Premieres: Saturday, January 14, 2023
Storyline: Poppy is a marketing specialist whose life is turned upside down when she fakes an engagement with her boss's handsome new client Milo, to win over her strict building manager and get Milo the penthouse suite.
Movie Reviews:
π From Chicago With Love was filmed by Reel One in Hamilton, Ontario. The Canadian release was Lease on Love and was family friendly. Poppy is quite lively for someone who gets walked over a lot. But of course her giving spirit triumphs in the end after a comedy of lies. ~Anonymous
π From Chicago with Love is, okay I guess. It had it's sweet moments, but it just felt too awkward for me. -Maria
π From Chicago With Love is family friendly about Poppy us a marketing specialist whose life is turned upside down when she fakes an engagement with her boss’ handsome client named Milo the penthouse suite ~Anonymous
π FROM CHICAGO WITH LOVE Family friendly, I think, although if you are watching with young kiddos, the female lead was moving in together with her fiance before they got married, which could be a questionable value for some. Anyways... some of you know I don't like love triangle romance tropes. I do love both female and male lead. Happy to see Dan Jeannotte again :) I'm not a fan of how the story unfolded and just the whole storyline generally. Too many things going on with the obnoxious and ridiculous influencer and Poppy's career life, plus the fake/real fiance, and the whole wedding planner thing which was taking it way too far and too unrealistic to me. I do love the chemistry and enjoy it when Poppy and Milo are connecting, but to me it's hard to feel good about their fake romance development while Poppy was also still engaged, no matter how indifferent her fiance was. Also, I couldn't stand that influencer lady. So dramatic and manipulative, and then all of a sudden she came to game night?! This is a one time watch for me, but I do hope we will see Dan Jeannotte and Rebecca Liddiard again in another movie. ~CH Mom

Movie Reviews:
❄ Fall Into Winter – I sooo enjoyed this family-friendly movie on Great American Family! What a delicious treat! Lori Loughlin is lovely, as always, even when she was working in the kitchen in the candy shop. Seeing her again on my TV screen, felt like a visit with a dear old friend. It was such a pleasure to see Lori return in Fall Into Winter, which was heartwarming, engaging, and down-to-earth. This well-written story is more unique than the average rom-com. The tension between Lori’s character, Kerry, and her new business partner, Brooks, played by James Tupper, was amusing and entertaining. The two also have a history from high school, which is an interesting part to their story, which leaves both characters feeling vulnerable over this new partnership. It was reiterated throughout the movie, that this business venture was a fresh start, and I thought that was a wonderful comparison for Lori’s return to acting and this January movie premiere for the New Year. Fall Into Winter is such a cozy, sweet story; I know I will enjoy watching it over and over again. And I was so delighted to see Lori Loughlin again; I can’t wait to see what Great American Family plans with her next! ~Net

Happy movie-watching! Net
A Royal In Paradise and Lease On Love both look good.
ReplyDeleteWe all have our own opinions and respect each other on this Forum but I personally will not be watching anything with Lori Loughlin in it - Florence
Sad to hear that. I personally feel if a person paid their debt to society, they deserve a second chance. Just my opinion. Enjoy the ones you watch. I’m excited about GAC In January. Looks like good ones !!!! Merry Christmas π
DeleteI feel that way, too.
DeleteI felt the same way until I remembered that I am not perfect myself. I have done things wrong and needed forgiveness. The Bible says, “Let him without sin cast the first stone” We need to forgive. She paid her debt and it’s not up to us to judge her.
DeleteAmen!
DeleteI live a very simple life and a very blessed life. Lori is in the middle of a life where everyone competes with each other. It is sad that she felt her children needed a degree in a prestigious college. So much so she skirted the rules. However she used her own money to do it. We have so many examples of individuals doing this with public monies and we can not even afford to send our own children to college. I know it's more complicated than this, but Lori may have learned a dear lesson and has served her time. I am glad she is getting another chance. I sure would want one. I would want my child to get another chance too.
DeleteWe have nothing to forgive Lori for doing. God has forgiven her, so I am thrilled to see that GAF is smart enough to bring her back to tv!!! Love conquers all! (It is also way less stressful on your body to “love” than “hate””,” probably because loving others is what we are created to do!)
DeleteI will be watching , love Lori ! Hope she makes many more.
DeleteI am so excited to see lori loughlin back ! We are not here to judge !!!
DeleteThrilled to see Lori back!
DeleteI agree 100% with your sentiments.
DeleteI think the network got a bit confused with the air dates for the 1st 2 movies, because the trailer for Lease on Love says Jan 7, but now this is saying the week later.
ReplyDeleteEither way, it's nice to see more then 1 movie airing in January this year since they had time to make or buy more! -Maria
Maria, Yeah, they were still showing conflicting dates for the movies last night when I was watched GAFam. I decided to go with the premiere date on the trailer. Since they are showing this commercial first, it must mean this will be their first movie. I will be sure to check with my friends at Great American Family after Christmas, unless something about this is posted on social media.
DeleteI saw that yesterday, too. The ad at the bottom of the screen said A Royal in Paradise January 7 and then they played the commercial for Lease on Love that also said January 7. Wonder which one is right.

Oh no, I can't think about January yet...I'm still trying to get caught up on the Christmas movies (and I'm losing the battle)!
ReplyDeleteShe's paid her debt. If we cant forgive, why should We expect Him to forgive us.
DeleteMark 25, thank you for the laugh! I ordered the Christmas movie watching shirt but haven't had a chance to watch that many yet. Maybe I will wear it after Christmas. Merry Christmas!
DeleteMark 25, I hear ya! I'm not ready either. Plus, my DVR is packed tighter than a stuffed turkey. Not sure what I'm going to do.
Deletekitkat, I have a shirt like that, too! I'll probably be wearing it in April as I still watch Christmas movies!!! :)
DeleteY'all make me laugh!! We'll all be wearing our Christmas movie-watching shirts in April and trying to un-stuff our dvr's. ~~Jane
DeleteSo funny...yes, let's all wear our Christmas watching shirts!πππ
DeleteI can’t wait to see Lori new movie
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to upcoming movies.
ReplyDeleteI didn’t come to this site much this year because I knew all the movies I watched were going to be family friendly. I only watched GAC movies. Thank you to everyone who runs this site.
ReplyDeleteMy top 3 movies this year were
1 A Christmas Present
2 A Merry Christmas Wish
3 Christmas at Pine Valley
I think GAC Christmas movies are going to be built around A Christmas Present. That is the best Christmas movie I saw in years.
I am so happy to see Lori Loughlin back! Thanks GAC!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Judge not....
DeleteI am so happy to see Lori Loughlin return. Thanks GAC. Hope to see her in more When Hope Calls episodes and lots of movies.
ReplyDeleteThese sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteI’m so excited to see Lori Laughlin again!
ReplyDeleteLove Lori Laughlin can't wait to see her new movie.
ReplyDeleteLove all the movies. Great escape from the reality of this life and times.
ReplyDeleteI’m so glad to see Lori back. She has served her time. And there are other immoral behaviors that are far worse to me, that happen daily in the entertainment industry and no one is ever punished for. The hypocrisy is mind boggling. But I’m glad to see GAC is giving her another chance.
ReplyDeleteRebecca
I can't wait. I love Lori. Miss her. Sorry but we can't hold on to anyone misdeeds. She erred and it's God's business not ours ❤❤
ReplyDeleteLove Lori too and can't wait to welcome her back!
DeleteI can't wait to see them all. So excited to see Lori back. Everyone deserves a second chance.
ReplyDeleteDrop Dead Diva
ReplyDeleteWeekdays 2023

HMM
Starring Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, April Bowlby, Kate Levering, Jackson Hurst, Josh Stamberg, Ben Feldman and Brooke D'Orsay
That's right. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has added this show, along with Psych, to their afternoon lineup.
DeleteDrop Dead Diva aired from 2009 to 2014 on Lifetime.
For anyone interested, here are the basic storyline details via HMM:
"When beautiful, but vapid, model wannabe Deb has a fatal car accident she suddenly finds herself in front of Heaven's gatekeeper, Fred, who declares her a self-centered "zero." Outraged, she attempts to persuade Fred to return her to her shallow existence but is accidentally relegated to the body of the recently deceased Jane Bingum. A brilliant, thoughtful and plus-size attorney with a loyal assistant, Jane has always lived in the shadow of her more comely colleagues whereas Deb has always relied on her external beauty. Now, by a twist of fate and a bolt of divine intervention, both personalities must learn to coexist in Jane's plus-size frame in the ultimate showdown between brains and beauty."
Starring Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, April Bowlby, Kate Levering, Jackson Hurst, Josh Stamberg and Ben Feldman.
Brooke D'Orsay ( A Fabled Holiday, Miss Christmas) starred in 9 episodes of this series - in the first 3 seasons. (There are 6 seasons in all.)
Please know... I have never viewed this show, as the story of someone being sent back to earth after dying doesn't appeal to me, so I have no idea what the content is like.

Love Lori and can't wait to see her back! Merry Christmas!π
ReplyDeleteDo you think Nikki and Nora will now be cancelled, since Rhiannon Fish is now on ga Family?? I never watched it anyway, didn't look that great to me.
ReplyDeleteUnless she signed an exclusive contract with Hallmark she can work anywhere. Look at Cory Sevier, Jesse Hutch, Brittany Bristow and Marcus Rosner. It's the way to go if you ask me.
