  1. I find it interesting that these aren't all new movies as some of these were on showtime before, but Candace's movie looks really fun

  2. On the face of it as Net has listed these, this is a cracking line-up.

GAC has come up with many surprises here, they've actually bought in many Christmas movies instead of producing them themselves.

My Best Friend's Christmas is from 2019 and My Favourite Christmas Tree with Giles Panton is from Reel One.

I suppose Cindy Busby was bound to turn up on GAC at some stage - she's literally everywhere these days!

I'm delighted to see Marvista's Christmas In Pine Valley - it was one I was really hoping would turn up somewhere.

Also excited to see Jonathan Stoddard in a Royal Christmas On Ice - I really enjoyed him in Finding Love In Big Sky, Montana.

Strangely, it's the ones with lesser known actors which appeal to me most.

My Best friend's Christmas - love it where the best friend is asked to be a fake fiance and Big Box Christmas where the theme is "lovers' reunited".

The one I'm pinning my hope's on most is I'm Glad It's Christmas with Jessica Lowndes, Paul Greene and Gladys Knight.

My one worry though is what hasn't been said and nasty surprises may turn up - I have a terrible feeling although there is no mention of it the lead character in Destined At Christmas is a single father so it leaves me worried for other movies too.

So while I'm initially excited at this line-up I'm also filled with a deal of trepidation - Florence

  3. Definitely looking forward to" A Merry Christmas wish" and "B&B merry". I can't wait for everything to begin. Coffee & Christmas movies, if theres a better combination, I haven't found it yet.

  4. Well I was wrong. What a HUGE bummer that Trevor Donovan doesn't have a new Christmas movie this year anywhere!! Going to be the first time in 4 years he doesn't have a new Christmas movie.

  5. I love this whole lineup! Can't wait to get to know some of these new faces. -Maria

  6. Not a lot of familiar names. Hope that’s a start of a growing GAC family.

    1. Also don’t see Trevor Donnavan mentioned.

  7. A lot of these movies are acquired, some of the ones with not popular old Hallmark actors most of them are acquired. Not all acquired movies are good so it will be interesting to see, hopefully they will be good

  8. Ditto on the comments above. Hopefully these will be family friendly in faith movies.

I would like to send a big thank you to everyone that leaves reviews. It is a big plus to know what to except in a film. We plan a few weekends during the holidays to settle back and enjoy a great Christmas movie. It is a bummer if it doesn’t meet expectations due to content.

    Take care all.

  9. Excited, with one exception as was stated before missing Trevor. However love to see Marc Blucas included and I think Candace will be a good fit. Looking forward to all of them.

  10. Bummer there’s no New Year’s Eve movies

  11. I wonder if Trevor Donovan is Candace Cameron Bure’s on screen Brother named Paul in A Christmas Present

    Replies
    1. That would've been fun, but Candace posted on Instagram a picture with the actor who portrayed her brother, Paul Fitzgerald.

      Here's a screen-grab of that post:

  14. Recently I watched "Identical Love" and thought the lead actress did a really nice job. Fun to realize now that she is Shae Robins, in Great American Family's "Destined at Christmas!"

Many of these sound good! I'm hoping to find a way to watch. :-)

    1. I was excited to see her in another movie too! We were partway through identical love when I looked up from my puzzle and went- wait, I know her! Never thought someone who grew up around the corner from me would star in one of these movies!

    2. How crazy--that must have felt so surreal to suddenly realize you knew her!

Super excited to see Marc Blucas in a new movie. We didn't see him in any last year. Not sure about the pairing with Candace. We shall see...

  17. I'll give Destined at Christmas a try. I've been a fan of Casey Elliott for years for his singing with Gentri.

Catering Christmas has Merritt and Daniel so it's a given.

A Merry Christmas Wish has Jill and Cameron so it makes the list.

Christmas at the Drive-In. Neal has been a favorite from his other movies so it'll make Danica bearable.

I'm Glad it's Christmas will make the list for it's duo but I probably won't rush to watch it.

I feel like sometimes they forget the actors make the movies and I've watched so many over the years I've really narrowed down who I will watch.

    2. Kay, That's a good idea to narrow down your viewing list, especially this year when we are swamped with Christmas movies from every direction. Hopefully, with the incredible quantity of movies we have this year, there will still be some quality films to watch.

  19. Quite enjoyed Destined at Christmas. Thought the actors/actresses were very natural (including the young girl); I felt like I was watching a story unfold instead of watching them acting out a story. One of the only negatives for me was that it felt like the directors dragged out the search between the star-crossed lovers for way too long; it became a bit frustrating, although the story was still entertaining. And then when they finally found each other it all ended quite abruptly and a bit oddly with some loose ends. Not sure if this one's a keeper for me but it's definitely worth a re-watch at some time. This one would probably be good for the whole family to watch, partly due to the refreshing young girl and the dinosaur angle and partly because there wasn't an overkill of sappy romance or long lingering looks at each other's lips.

  20. This was a nice family friendly story. I thought the case did a fine job. The families were believable. The story line had a leisurely pace and wasn't choppy. This is one of those movies that sets the scene for Christmas. I would watch this again or having it playing as a backdrop to my own Christmas preparations.

  22. A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH.  For starters, I'm never a fan of love triangle, so I couldn't love this as much as I wished. Cameron Mathison was so charming and Jill Wagner was just wonderful, and I'd watch anything they're on. Both are really great actors and perfect for the roles. The plot is wayyy overdone though. It's another "cookie cutter" type of Christmas movie to me. I wished the storyline was more interesting but it's same old "city girl going back to country" story. It was enjoyable to watch but not a keeper for me.

    1. Gary J, Yes, Great American Family removed A Belgian Chocolate Christmas from their line-up. From what was mentioned on their Facebook page it sounded like it didn't fit their standards.
