I hope you find some Christmas movies you are looking forward to seeing during this Christmas Season. I think there's only a handful or so that truly look appealing to me this year. I'll be adding images above as they are released. Stay tuned!

I also want to include a caution here. At this point, we don't know which movies will be family-friendly. I'm hoping there will still be many, but at this time, we just don't know. Throughout the Christmas Season I will do my best to inform you on various storylines, and if any of you who follow here catch something, please be sure to share in comments. I definitely want to include a BIG *Thank You* to all of the awesome reviewers who visit here and contribute so much at Christmastime and all throughout the year.

Joyous Christmas Blessings to You All!

God bless us, everyone! Net

  1. RING OUT THE BELLS!

    STEPHEN HUSZAR IS BACK!!

With the caveat that we don't know what is and isn't family-friendly I seem to be at odds with Net here - there's quite a few I'm excited for.

Biggest regret :why has oirey Sevier to get involved with a single parent?

The one that really strikes the eye is Hallmark using three of their leading men Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell in the one movie Three Wise Men And A Baby.

The synopsis doen't reveal much but the fact that Paul Campbell is in it makes me wary.

Ones that I think should be good.

    In Merry Measure Brendan Penny
Lights Camera Christmas Kinberley Sustad John Brotherton

The Royal Nanny Rachel Skarsten Dan Jeannotte
Rachel is much-under-rated and I love Dan Jeannotte

A Cozy Christmas Inn Jodie Sweetin David O'Donnell
    #X'mas Brant Daugherty
A Tale Of Two Christmasses Chandler Massey
Haul Out The Holly Lacey Chabert Wes Brown
    UNDERCOVER HOLIDAY STEPHEN HUSZAR
    Christmas Class Reunion Aimee Teegarden
Aimee is regularly turning out top class movies for Hallmark

Of course it nearly always turns out that some of those you don't expect much from are really good while those that look good are disappointing!

    1. Florence, Love-Love-Love your last line in your comment! That seems to be me every year, too. I generally get excited over one movie and then it comes, and well, it's not all I dreamed it would be... and then another, I had no hopes for, ends up being fantastic!

Anyway, I think you chose some movies here that could be good! Let's hope! I'm eyeing several of the ones you chose, as well. :)

  2. Sorry to say, but this lineup looks worse then last year's IMO. Not into their Haunakah offering this year, or their Chinese American movies , and Kwanza? That's not the clean holiday that it appears to be, and I'm very saddened to see Hallmark wanting to promote it.

I'm also predicting that quite a lot of these will end up being unclean, unfortunately. With what happened last year, and what has been happening throughout this year on both channels, it's bound to happen.

Countdown to Christmas used to be my favorite tradition since 2014, and now it's been ruined. But, at least I have my clean, and very fun DVD's of past movies. -Maria

    1. Maria, I agree about the lineup. As I said above in the post, only a handful look somewhat good to me this year. I'm really not feeling that usual excitement over Hallmark's Christmas offerings.

Also, I'm not into Kwanzaa either. (For others reading this, it will be featured in “Holiday Heritage”) I feel like they always try to take Countdown to Christmas and stretch it to go beyond Christmas. And when they show other holidays like Hanukkah, they always seem to go more in depth to share the religious aspect of the holiday, with their traditional songs, games, and lighting of the candles. We hardly ever hear the nativity story in the Christmas movies. It's all about getting a Christmas tree, decorating it or gingerbread houses, kissing under the mistletoe, etc...

I'm so glad you commented and feel the same. It's good to know it's not just me feeling this way.

  4. A Cozy Christmas Inn is a sequel to A Christmas Under Wraps

Jodie Sweetin as Erika McNicoll reunited her ex named Andy Hollidays portrayed by David Donnell

CCB as Dr. Lauren Brunell wasn’t in the movie

    1. I'm aghast.

Unless I'm picking this up wrong David O'Donnell is the lead male actor so it means he must have broken up with Lauren.

This negates Christmas Under Wraps which is the highest watched Hallmark movie of all time.

Is this a sneaky way of taking a swipe at CCB for signing up with GAC?

What on earth are they playing at?
      ?

You could question every single ending they've ever had - Florence

      Delete
    2. And I can't help but feel this is a dis to CCB, cause when we last saw them, Andy and Lauren were solid. So they broke up and Andy will get back with his ex? Christmas Under Wraps was one of Hallmarks highest rated movies ever, and to not let us think Andy and Lauren are happy together is rotten. I will not watch this movie.

    3. Florence and Sabrina,

I'm with you... I don't get this storyline either. Based on what we've been given, thus far, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I mean, we are all wondering... what happened to Candace's character, Dr. Lauren Brunell??? Did they split up? Did she die? It obviously has to be something like that, and neither option is good.

Are people really going to want to see Andy fall in love with someone else, especially Candace's "Full House" TV sister, Jodie Sweetin??? I can't imagine Jodie would want to do a movie that made Candace look bad, but I agree, this all sounds very strange.

    4. I don't really remember all the details of Christmas Under Wraps, but is it possible the lead actor is playing his twin brother in this movie? Did y'all actually see on some "official" blurb that his character has the exact same name in this upcoming movie?
      ~~Jane

    5. Jane, That is a clever idea, but unfortunately, according to David O'Donnell's imdb page, he is playing the same character, Andy Holliday.

      Delete
    6. I wish Jane's idea was correct! It would make a much better storyline than the bizarre-sounding one that appears to be coming our way this Christmas.

    7. Unfortunately, the lead actor is David O’ Donnell who portrayed as Andy Holliday in Christmas Under Wraps is the same actor in a new Christmas Under Wraps 2 called; “A Cozy Christmas Inn”.. All same actresses & Actors are expected to return for “A Cozy Christmas Inn”, from “Christmas Under Wraps”, expect for CCB wasn’t in Christmas movie since her role was Dr. Lauren Burnell. although, Jodie Sweetin replaced CCB with David O’Donnell. Andy Holliday doesn’t have Twin Brother. Jodie Sweetin as Erika McNicolls is a real estate executive who travels to Alaska during Christmas to acquire a bed & breakfast, She discovers that it's owned by her ex named Andy Holliday.

  5. Each year there are always movies I enjoy, but honestly, part of the loss of appeal and enjoyment for me is there are TOO many now. I remember the days when I was always SO excited that there'd be a weekend here and there that had new Christmas movies, but that's part of what made them special is the anticipation. Now, each weekend (and sometimes weeknights) can have four, or five or more new premieres. It's just all a bit overmuch now.

    ReplyDelete

    1. You've a good point here - with just Hallmark and UPtv confirmed there's already 48 new ones.

I think GAC is having 17 and Lifetime will probably have 30+.

Add in the few others and there's going to be over 100.

It really is far too many.

      Florence

    2. And what I dont like the most of so many movies, is that some of the older, better made movies dont get played at all or very little. I liek that they moved many to HMM so I can still see them like A Boyfriend for Christmas, Holiday Engagement, but so many others dont get played at all like Northpole, One starry Christmas, Trading Christmas.

A few years ago, HM Drama played all the older christmas movies and I was so happy. They played lots of older even back in the early 2000's. I wish they would do that again. It has been forever since i saw A Case for Christmas, A Grandpa for Christmas, Meet the Santas, Santa Switch. Thats why i am sad there are so many new movies, when more than half of them the plots are so bad.

This year it seems old pop singer and old actress are the themes. But thats better than CEO of major company comes home and plans a party for the town or her parents company and has to decide if she wants to be a CEO, or the town Veterinarian.

    3. Rissi, Same here! I, too, am feeling more overwhelmed, than excited. I really think if they scaled back it would be to their benefit; people would try even harder to see 10 new movies, instead of 40.

Wonderful to hear from you and get your take! :)

      Delete
    4. Anonymous, it’s not 17 Christmas movies but it’s 18 Christmas movies - whet if GAC will add more Christmas movies

      Delete
    5. To Florence, you said with Hallmark and UPTV theres already 48 new movies. That math is wrong, Hallmark has 40 and UPTV has 17 so between UPTV and Hallmark there is 57 new movies not 48. Some of UPTVs movies a few of them have been seen in other places but to alot of people they are still new

    6. Phew! That's a lot of movies to try and keep up with!! I don't think there's enough room on my dvr for that many movies?! At least - thankfully - we have lots of folks on here who will watch and write reviews so we can wade through the multitudes a bit easier/quicker to find the really sweet movies (and delete the junky/trashy ones). The more reviewers the better!! Last Christmas, when I was sort of out of commission, it was very helpful to be able to read the reviews of different folks with different opinions so I could be more discerning at choosing which movies to watch. Keep those reviews coming, friends; even it's just a quickie thumbs up/down review. And thank you, Net, for all the organizational work you put in for us!!!!!

    8. Oh my goodness, it is overwhelming! The fun of anticipation is still there, as long as I hold loosely to all the many options and just wait for the good ones that are going to pop out and surprise me...rather like Christmas morning, hehe.

I'm soooo grateful for everyone here who leaves reviews and plan to do my part during this year's Christmas deluge. :-) Though I rarely watch movies live, I've been thinking about trying to watch 1 premiere a week in order to leave an immediate content review for everyone. If I know which movies others are planning to watch, then I'll choose a different one, so the It's a Wonderful Movie family can hopefully collect quick family-friendly feedback on as many movies as possible. Unless I splurge on a streaming service to view GAF and UPtv, I'll be limited to choosing from Hallmark, HMM, and Lifetime.

Merry Christmas, everybody!!! No matter which movies are spoiled, it won't ruin my joy...Our Savoir is Born!

It's certainly going to be a challenge this year. So grateful for you and this incredible It's a Wonderful Movie family. You all are such a blessing!

    1. Chris, I'm not sure about the Hallmark Channel, but it looks like Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will have some that are spiritual/inspirational:
“Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas”
      “The Gift of Peace”
“Five More Minutes: Moments Like These”

  7. I am hoping to see the most...

We Wish You A Married Christmas
    The Royal Nanny
    Haul Out the Jolly
    Undercover Holiday
    A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe
    A Royal Corgi Christmas

Hoping most of these are family friendly. I'm especially excited to see the corgi movie. I have one of my own and I'm crazy about my Redmond. I hope they show how intelligent they are. We can't even spell in front of mine.

Two of them gives me reason of caution.
I wouldn't be watching A Magical Christmas Village, since Luke M. is gay and Three Wise Men and A Baby. I've never been comfortable with movies casting God/Jesus and putting angels in films(esp. female angels) Sounds like they are making a modern version of that. So I'll pass. I do pray they don't have a gay character in there. That would be awful.

  10. There are A LOT of movies. Some i know i wont even watch at all, but a few look good and a few match ups look good:

Rachel Boston & Victor Webster should be good together

There seem to be a lot of ex pop star movies, that must be the theme this year, ex actress or singer instead of coming home to plan a party.

Lights, Camera, Christmas looks really good to me.

I am over Royal movies, but I like Rachel Skarsten so i will see. But Dan J has done movies before where he has an "accent" and his accent has not been good at all. Hoping that isnt this case.

When I think of Christmas looks good, love Peter Benson movies and Shanae Grimes I LOVE.

Tale of 2 Christmases looks good. I enjoy Chandler Massey in movies.

I think the movie of the year might be Holiday Spectacular.

I usually lean towards the HMM movies cause they are more serious and so many of them look good.

I have very high hopes for the 3 wise men and a baby, a great cast and all of them have turned up in others movies as cameos, so this will be fun.

    1. Sabrina, I typically like the HMM movies best, too, and this year they especially look good.

Also, I have the same feeling towards fake accents. It can be very distracting, at times, like Brittany Bristow in "Love, Romance, and Chocolate" or Merritt Patterson in "Jingle Bell Princess." I still like both of those movies, but I would've liked them even more without the accents.

Should be interesting to see how the ratings spread out this year on Hallmark. With Candace gone, I imagine Lacey Chabert will pull in the highest ratings of all, but we'll see.

I believe that Tyler was in Andrew Walkers Christmas movie "My Family Christmas Tree" as a walk-on. I don't remember the movie but Andrew was a walk-on in one of Tyler's movies. BTW, they are related by a family member's marriage.

  12. Thank you so much Net for giving us the scoop-

I agree with so much that's been said:
HMM usually has the best of the season.
Lacey is my #1, first time pairing with Wes( he use to be on all thru the year, wonder what happened?)
    I'm struck by who's missing:
Autumn, Bethany Joy, Laura Osnes, Amanda Schull, Sam Page, Cindy Busby, etc...
I have great memories of Hallmark Christmas movies past, but have really been disappointed last few years, except for a few, and the Leadership of Hallmark Media seems to continue a far different direction then my Values and Core beliefs!!
We all shall see, what we got at the end of the year.

    Sidenote:
    A sequel to
Christmas under wraps( which CCB recently was boasting about still having the highest rated movie on Hallmark) find it odd that Jodie of all people would be involved, yet we may be very surprised in a good way....

I was really thinking/hoping we might get a huge surprise with a sequel to "A Christmas Waltz," but nope it isn't happening. Such a shame, since it is such a beautiful story.

Also, great mention on who is missing this year. That is very surprising that Autumn Reeser and Bethany Joy Lenz are missing this year. Bethany, though, has worked with Lifetime in the past, so she might do something there.

I was surprised not to see Heather Hemmens (since she has a contract with Hallmark now), David Haydn-Jones, Eloise Mumford, Jessy Schram, Janel Parrish and we haven't seen Fiona Gubelmann or Michael Rady for some time.

I wonder if any of these actors, minus Heather, might appear on Great American Family this year, especially Laura Osnes, Cindy Busby, and Same Page.

    8. Thank you Alicia & Net! It took me forever to re-find this thread, but I wanted to thank you both for the info about "A Gift Wrapped Christmas". I had never seen this movie before so I decided to follow Alicia's link to Lifetime on Youtube. I don't have a smart tv but I was able to hook my ipad up to my regular tv through an hdmi cable (I don't know how the young people enjoy watching movies on their phones & devices?! - I need a big screen!). Anyway, that was an absolutely fun & sweet movie!! The lead actress was adorable and just so natural, kind of in the style of Goldie Hawn/Meg Ryan/Kate Hudson. I looked her up and it turns out she's actually married to Goldie Hawn's son. I wish she'd do more fun, family-friendly, Christmas movies! I couldn't find a dvd of this one to purchase, so I'm hoping it will air sometime this season so I can capture it on the dvr.

    9. Jane, I'm so delighted to hear how much you enjoyed "A Gift Wrapped Christmas!" It's one of those special ones we always watch whenever it plays. I recall the very first time I watched it, the rating said TV-14 in the corner and being Lifetime I was rather hesitant, but it's totally G-rated, of course, so I never understood that.

The fabulous Meredith Hagner, who plays Gwen, was also in the Hallmark movie, "My Christmas Love" with Gregory Harrison, which is also pretty cute. I, too, would love to see her do another Christmas movie, but I'm not sure she can ever top "A Gift Wrapped Christmas."

And for some odd reason, this movie was never put on DVD or included with the Lifetime DVD collections. I don't get it because I know a lot of people love it.

Hopefully, Lifetime will air it on TV this Christmas and you can save it on your DVR forever, too!!! :)

I'm counting approximately NINE movies each weekend in November, and that doesn't even include the Lifetime ones!! I think I really need to start clearing stuff off my Verizon dvr, asap. The good thing is I use FrndlyTV for all the GAC movies (since Verizon cable does not include GAC) and my frndly package includes unlimited dvr space and 9 months to view (I just last week finished watching the January & February movies!!). 19. Noel Next Door is family friendly and has a great theme: "You never know what someone else is going through." The "Grinch" of the story, Jeffrey, had a stroke that left him disabled and unable to continue his career as a pianist. My heart broke for him when he was on a blind date and struggled to get his coat off. The woman told him he was embarrassing her! Enter Noelle, who melts his grinchy heart. It was a very sweet story. My only complaint was the kid who played Noelle's son. He was really annoying and looked way too old to be her kid. Minor complaint, however, especially these days!

  21. Noel Next Door was a beautiful movie! I thought it was well-written, well-acted, a refreshing set, good costumes, neat tie-ins, and a beautiful story! I was pleasantly surprised for the first Hallmark for the season. To top it all off -- the main character had a paralyzed arm and used a cane. Turns out later he says he had a stroke. I loved that Hallmark went so far to create such a relatable storyline. My mom watches every Hallmark movie and she is a double-stroke survivor. I was so pleased to be able to put this movie on for her, to have a character to relate to.

  22. This was a different story line than I was expecting. As mentioned, one of the characters had a stroke. I fast forwarded and about halfway through the movie Will is in the married guy's home and he's asking them how they knew they were right for each other, how they knew when it was "the one" they wanted to marry. This is the second big disappointment for me (after Kris Polaha) since I loved Will Kemp in other movies and this could have been such a cute movie. 26. Ghosts of Christmas Always. I felt like I should have stopped watching this movie. But, I didn't - I kept going. I kept going because the main actors were quite good, and the storyline and production were very well crafted and, overall, it was a fun movie with a lot of positives and warm fuzzies. But... there were also negatives... I probably should have stopped because this wasn't an innocuous, sweet, Dickens' story - it was Hollywood's version - so, therefore, it included a whole lot of questionable spiritual things and lots of magic and, of course, ghosts. I'm so tired of "magic" in Hallmark movies. I understand when some of us refer to Christmas magic we really just mean the specialness of the season, or the sparkle and twinkle, or kindness, or warm fuzzy feelings, or the mystery and miracle of the birth of our Savior. But, more and more, I feel like Hallmark really wants us to embrace actual magic. And every time I watch a sweet movie that has some silly magic cookies or ornaments or snowglobes or whatever, I feel like I'm opening my mind and my heart just a tiny bit more to something that I shouldn't be giving a foothold in there. My faith is strong but I worry about people and children who are more impressionable. I don't have any young ones in my household right now but if I did, I don't think I would let them watch a lot of these movies (at the very least, we would sit down and have a biblical teaching moment!). So, is this movie family friendly? Maybe?? Maybe not?? I think people should prescreen it before sharing with kids. Also, btw, Hallmark added two characters who were female but teetering on that genderless line. There were no "gender" "statements" made (only implied) so I think it would be okay for families, maybe with some discussion, or perhaps just ignoring it would work, as well.

Even as a kid I was never a huge fan of Disney-type stories. I do think that, overall, Hollywood is pushing darker agendas, including magic, but it's possible that some of these Hallmark Christmas movies are just sweet fairy tale types that maybe just aren't a favorite with me because of my personal taste.

    2. Aww, wow Jane! Well said. I couldn't agree more. I've been questioning magic issues myself lately. I feel like Hallmark (Satan) is using that to replace Christ's name. I am also very tired of the humanism of Hallmark and the other chic flick networks. It feels dangerous to our souls. All this makes me want to be in my Word more.

Never been a big fan of Disney either. They do not care about our souls, that's for sure. All that "trust in your heart" nonsense...the heart is deceitful above all else. They are also planning to have a LGBT in every movie or tv show this summer.

    3. Abigail, I agree. To me Christmas Magic is an oxymoron\contradiction in terms.
As for Disney I gave away all but one of my Disney movies - I kept "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" even though it is old, 1993. I always cry. If I had kept Bambi, I'd probably cry at that one, too. --Namegirl

    4. I threw away a bunch as well, but kept my old favorites. Never did have Disney+ and I cry at those kinds too Namegirl! Especially the Dumbo cartoon and Old Yeller? Why are dog movies always sad?!

I wanted to be clear though regarding magic. I don't like seeing it in action, sorcery or magical items, but if it used in a phrase like "the magic of Christmas," to me it basically means "happy." Like the Car's Song Magic.

I almost stopped watching this in the first 15 minutes because the beginning was just a highlight of all the silly ridiculousness of this movie and the "magic" cookies nonsense. I'm not sure I really knew who Sarah Ramos was, but I liked her in this movie. I'm sick of "magic" turning up in more and more Hallmark movies and the whole premise of these cookies was absolutely silly and ridiculous. 29. Just finished Magic Christmas Village - this falls into the category of a previous comment about the silliness of Christmas "magic." Seems the Hallmark writers are hung up on a pseudo-hippie view of the world - just do your own thing - the daughter who works hard, and plans things out will be shown the error of her ways by the end of the show by just believing in magic. Probably the biggest mistake in the production was the casting of Marlo Thomas, her appearance was actually scary. One last thing - this is the second Hallmark movie I watched recently where a woman was a mother and there was no mention of a father - his absence due to either divorced or death - a father figure is no longer considered an important element in their movies?

Firstly, I'm not sure I have a problem with a few of the issues other commenters have mentioned. The drug store meetcute with Noel holding a Tampon box was a bit too cringey, but that was it. It is family friendly, in my opinion. Other than that, I think that the chemistry is spot on. Noel's character might be a bit too flirty for my taste, but she is alright I guess.
Couple things I'm not a fan of:
    - I'm not sure I liked it that Henry lied, but I guess that's very normal for kids his age.
    - Jeremy quickly opened a bottle of alcohol after the date was canceled
But I do love these couple of things:
    - Henry apologizing to Jeremy and their whole conversation at his door
    - I adore all the classical music
    - Love that the main characters are not perfect

Family friendly as far as i know. This movie was quite hilarious. I love Kimberly Sustad and how she is always so good in making her character appear so relatable. Brad Baxter's character was pretty hard to like in the beginning and I couldn't really picture them as a couple when he was being such a goofball. He did get a bit more vulnerable towards the middle of the movie although I'm still unsure I like how John Brotherton portrayed this character. The chemistry was alright, I personally felt more of a friend vibe.

Family friendly, as far as I know. I do like the best friend turned lovers trope. I wish that the lead actress is just a little bit more likeable. I tried hard to like her. I guess she is quirky and cute in her own way. Her quirkiness was hard to watch sometimes. It's hard to explain and I try not to give negative comments on actors, but when she's talking, she appears like she's about to suffocate. Anyway, I tried hard to get past that. Brant Daughterty was adorable. The message of the story about "nothing's perfect" was good too, especially in this age of social media. I also was hoping the ending was elaborated a bit more. It felt like it ended abruptly to me.

  34. Inventing the Christmas Prince. I should've learned by now not to listen to the cranky reviews on other websites. I almost deleted this movie without even giving it a chance. That would've been a shame since it turned out to be a very sweet movie. Like any other movie, there are, of course, lots of unrealistic parts. And for those who don't like any level of lies or fabrication or deception in their movies, then this should be avoided since it's all based on a mother's fabricated bedtime fairy tale story about a Christmas prince, and her later efforts to basically blackmail her curmudgeonly boss into playing that role after her daughter's imagination leads her to believe the boss really is the actual prince from the story. I don't have a problem with any of that since I find many of these secular Christmas movies have some sort of misleading element to them, or deception, or fabrication, or magic, or the fantasy of a lie known as Santa. Anyway, all of the cast in this movie were good and it was fun to watch the main actor gradually change from a stiff, antisocial person into one who is comfortable and caring. He is so awkward at first it's funny, his version of small talk on a date is "I see you have carrots on your plate. Do you eat carrots often?". Overall, this was a very cute movie and the ending was sweet (especially for those who like a little "royal" element to their movies). Good for a re-watch next year; it's not necessarily a definite keeper for me but I'll keep it on the dvr until I run out of room. Family friendly.

  35. When I Think of Christmas. This movie was more of a miss, for me, than a hit, but maybe okay for a one-time watch and I’m sure others will like it far more than I did. It’s good that we all like different things in our movies! I have really liked Niall Matter in other movies like Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater, the Father Christmas movies, and the Aurora Teagarden mysteries, but I felt this particular movie was missing something and even Niall couldn’t fix it. There wasn't one thing or one person that was horrible, instead it was just kind of overall lackluster. The movie had a heavy focus on characters who supposedly have great musical talent and, therefore, you would think there would be phenomenal music in the movie; and, yet, the singing (and their famed Christmas music show that the movie revolved around) was just average. I thought Niall’s and Shenae’s characters were both kind of whiny and unrealistic and bitter for no good reason other than harboring anger and pain from a broken high school romance and lost teenage dreams over TEN years ago (and, honestly, both actors look old enough for it to have been 15-20 years ago!). And Shenae’s character (who had a paid scholarship to Yale and then went on to law school and a good career) was especially bratty, blaming her widowed mother for guiding her in wise decision-making as a teenager (and her mother apologizes for being a good mother – sheesh!!). The best part of the movie was the budding relationship between Shenae’s mother and a carpenter she just met (I liked his character the best of any of them). Oh, and Peter Benson had a sort of funny cameo as a guy auditioning for the Christmas show. This one was family friendly but not a keeper for me and not really interested in watching again next year.

  36. I've never added my comment(s) to or for a movie site but after reading a number of them here, I felt those who were planning on not watching particular movies because of a. the actor/actress or b. a perceived past disappointment of one of the actors. All three men starring in Three Wise Men and a Baby have current girlfriends/wives. They are not representing any Biblical story rather one of 3 brothers who have managed to just survive emotionally after their own father left one Christmas when they were very young. A baby is left at the firehall & the 3 young men do their best, on their own, to take care of the wee one during the few days before Christmas. The rest of the cast is pure gold and the story-line is well thought out and extremely funny, yet some moments are heightened as the brothers come to terms with each other and their own childhood.

  37. I'm reviewing Ghosts of Christmas Always - I'm way behind on my Christmas movie-viewing, and am wondering if everyone else is too. I am very surprised there are only 3 reviews of this movie, and none of them glowing. I found it to be absolutely delightful! I thought all the actors were excellent, I loved the chemistry between Catherine and Peter, the storyline was engaging, there was some great humor, and I can't wait to share it with my family!

  38. Found Ghosts of Christmas Always and Three Wise Men and a Baby not only family friendly but fun to watch. I would buy both of those. Christmas Class Reunion not family friendly.

  39. I too liked Three Wise Men and a Baby. Thought it had a lot of funny parts and I liked that the brothers were able to heal their differences. Nice to see a family come back together. Also, really liked A Big Fat Family Christmas(the song at the end was amazing), A Maple Valley Christmas, Ghost of Christmas Always(looked at the ghosts more as angels, ghosts wouldn't help people), and Time for Him to come Home for Christmas(favorite since the first one), and Long Lost Christmas. Noel Next Door and The Royal Nanny were good also.
