🌟Candace Cameron Bure Presents: "Christmas on Candy Cane Lane" on Great American Family - starring Andrea Barber and Dan Payne🌟 SEE HERE:

More exciting CHRISTMAS MOVIE NEWS today from Great American Family! Candace Cameron Bure will be developing a new Christmas movie with her long-time friend (since their Full House days), Andrea Barber. If you ever watched the sitcom, Full House, then you know Andrea played D.J.'s (Candace's) best friend, Kimmy Gibbler. She always brought such fun energy and comedy to her role; I imagine Andrea will bring these same qualities to her new Christmas movie.

See all the details in Great American Media's press release below + keep on scrolling... I have even more delightful Great American Family Christmas movie news at the end of this post!

PRESS RELEASE:

CANDACE CAMERON BURE PRESENTS:
CHRISTMAS ON CANDY CANE LANE,
STARRING ANDREA BARBER AND DAN PAYNE,
AN ORIGINAL CHRISTMAS MOVIE
PREMIERING ON GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY

NEW YORK, NY – September 15, 2022 – Great American Family today announced production begins September 19 on the network’s original Christmas movie, Candace Cameron Bure Presents: Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, starring Andrea Barber (Full House, Fuller House) and Dan Payne (Virgin River), which premieres on the network this holiday. Developed as part of her Candy Rock Entertainment venture, Christmas on Candy Cane Lane is Bure’s second Christmas project with Great American Media for the 2022 season and the first produced under the banner Candace Cameron Bure Presents. The new film will be part of Great American Christmas, the network’s holiday programming franchise which returns on October 21 with a new slate of original holiday movie premieres every Saturday and Sunday and Christmas movies all day and all night through the end of 2022.

“Candace is a one-of-a-kind talent who helped elevate this genre to new heights through her deep understanding of the audience and her smart approach to creating content,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “We’re incredibly proud to be launching the Candace Cameron Bure Presents franchise together with Candace and the Candy Rock Entertainment team, and we and look forward to inspiring and entertaining fans with her unique brand of heartwarming, family-friendly movies beginning with Christmas on Candy Cane Lane.”

“It brings me great joy to bring you the incredibly talented and funny Andrea Barber. Having a 30-year bestie friendship both on and off camera has allowed me to find the perfect project to introduce the Christmas genre audience to her brilliant comedic skills, her heartwarming authenticity and vulnerability that is a rare gem today. Just as I have, audiences will fall in love with Andrea’s warmth and relatability, and chuckle along with her all the way down Candy Cane Lane,” said Candace Cameron Bure.

In Candace Cameron Bure Presents: Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, Ivy Donaldson (Barber) is going through a transition in her life. Separated from husband, Rob (Payne), and putting on a brave face for her daughter, Ivy also struggles with the long shadow cast by her late mother, Muriel, the darling of Icicle Falls; head of the Candy Cane Lane Lights Extravaganza, owner of The Christmas Haus, and a former TV star known adoringly as the “Christmas Maven.” The shoes seem too big to fill. When obstacles reach a crescendo for Ivy, a series of comical and mysterious events bring neighbors of Icicle Falls, including Ivy’s entire family, together in a masterstroke of perfection only the “Christmas Maven” herself could appreciate

Candace Cameron Bure, Jeffery Brooks, Ford Englerth, Jim Head, and Gerald Webb are executive producers for the project on behalf of Candy Rock Entertainment. Executive producers on behalf of Motion Picture Corporation of America are Brad Krevoy, Eric Jarboe, Amanda Phillips, Lorenzo Nardini, Jimmy Townsend, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, and Doran S. Chandler. My *Quick* Take:

How fun to see Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber working together again! As I mentioned above, Andrea was well known for her comedy on Full House and sometimes roping Candace's character D.J. into trouble. According to the press release above, "Christmas on Candy Cane Lane" will have "a series of comical and mysterious events," so that sounds like it will be right up Andrea's alley, or should I say... lane? haha!

I'm so delighted to see these two working together again. Plus, it looks like Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky, Full House) will be returning to Great American Family this Christmas movie season, too!

Jen Lilley (Royally Wrapped for Christmas) shared this fun photo in her Insta-stories, while doing press-work with other stars for Great American Family! The actors and actresses featured in the photo are: Cameron Mathison (close-up), (left-to-right) Dan Payne, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Candace Cameron Bure, Debbie Matenopoulos, and Jen Lilley!

By the way, you may recognize Dan Payne from several Hallmark movie projects, including: Matchmaker Mysteries, Christmas Getaway, A Time to Dance, and All Yours.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Christmas on Candy Cane Lane this holiday season on Great American Family! How 'bout you? Please share in comments below.

Have a Merry Day! Net🌟

  1. I hope I'm picking this up right but my understanding is that the two leads are a separated married couple and hopefully will get together again - that's the best Christmas movie news I've heard in ages - Florence

    1. Me, too! Great American Family has been very welcoming to her. I think it would be great for her to have her own starring role; plus, I would love to see her working with Candace again! Wouldn't it be fun if they played mother & daughter or aunt & niece?

    2. I'm so happy that GA Family is giving Lori a second chance. We all make mistakes and it's so important for us to forgive and forget. I just know God will bless them for this. Good for them! Now, if Hallmark was only smart enough to be gracious and do the same.

I think that's a great idea Net! It would be fantastic to see Candace and Lori as family members. The ratings would be high. I would love to see them do a series together, a mystery series of course. :)
