Dear POstables,
Warning: This news may make you want to do a happy dance!
Hallmark execs teased/revealed today at the TCA (Television Critics Association) event, there could be more "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movies on the way. And the main reason why, it sounds like, could be due to all of the incredible feedback they receive from fans of this magnificent series of movies.
Here are the details reported at Variety:
President and CEO Wonya Lucas was speaking of the other TV series on Hallmark, including "When Calls the Heart" and also mentioned "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and added... "don’t think we’re finished with that."
EVP of programming Lisa Hamilton Daly shared that fans are consistently sending letters in support of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered." She also added to the conversation by saying, “The fandom and the passion for that franchise is usual,” (I think Variety meant to say unusual) she stated. “And so we listen. We hear. I’d say, Stand by!”
This bit of information is certainly fantastic, sheerly awesome news for all of us who love the "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" series!!! I'm ecstatic to hear this and share this news with all of you!!! Hopefully, we will hear more soon!
Hallmark also revealed more "mystery franchises are in the works."
Until more news is shared, all of us devoted POstables will "trust the timing" and stay tuned for more details!
Blessings to you all! Net
P.S. Now, get up and do your happy dance with me!!!
Might Good Witch Return? Hallmark Offers Updates on MIA Franchises
ReplyDeleteHallmark Media president/CEO Wonya Lucas and programming EVP Lisa Hamilton Daly know how much their viewers love and miss certain franchises. Yet when it comes to Good Witch (which ended over a year ago) and Signed, Sealed, Delivered, the execs are not ready to confirm any return timetables.
Good Witch ended its run in July 2021, with a Season 7/series finale in which Cassie (played by Catherine Bell) saved the cousins’ imperiled magic, Stephanie and Adam decide to tie the knot (but Donovan and Abigail broke up) and Cassie’s brother Vincent returned to Middleton.
At the time, a Hallmark rep told TVLine that while there were no plans for future Good Witch TV-movies, “Catherine Bell, James Denton and Katherine Barrell, among others, are members of the Hallmark Channel family, and we are in discussions on future projects.”
Woohoo!!! You bet I’m dancing! This is so exciting. Can’t wait to see what’s new for the wonderful POstables. They’re all so special.
ReplyDeleteSo encouraging to hear new mysteries are in the works. Thank you Net for the great news! God bless❤️
I just hope they don’t go down the not family friendly path like they’ve been doing with everything else. That’s my fear.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'll always be up for more SSD, shouldn't Hallmark have just outright said they were making another movie? Sounded to me like they were just playing on fans feelings for now. -Maria
ReplyDeleteWhat interests me here is the comment more "mystery franchises are in the works".
ReplyDeleteNow just what exactly does this mean?
That suggests to me that these would be NEW series while most of us would want to see a resolution to many of those which remain "unfinished".
Or do I just not understand tbis comment? - Florence
Great to hear! Seems like a no brainer to me.

Will There Be More ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ or ‘Good Witch’ at Hallmark?
ReplyDeleteAs Hallmark looks to the future — Crown Media has rebranded as Hallmark Media now — there are some popular franchises that fans would love to see continue in some form, such as Signed, Sealed, Delivered and Good Witch, both of which have existed as TV shows and movies.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP, Programming addressed the futures of both during Hallmark Media’s executive session during the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. “We’re always interested in thinking about what we can do with our most popular IP. I can’t announce anything specific about that,” she said, adding, “I don’t think we’re finished with that,” regarding Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
Added Wonya Lucas, President & CEO, “Postables send a lot of letters. We read them. The fandom and the passion for that franchise… we listen. We hear.” For now, all both could say about the two franchises is “stand by.”
Good Witch ran for seven seasons, from 2015 until 2021, and was based on the films that began in 2008. Meanwhile, Signed, Sealed, Delivered aired one season in 2014 before a series of movies, with the last one, The Vows We Have Made, coming in 2021.
As for the movie mystery franchises (like Mystery 101) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, while we haven’t seen much of that as of late versus one-offs, that’s about to change. “We actually have several new movie mystery franchise in the making, and we are hoping to be able to announce those very shortly,” Daly said.
Will there another Signed Sealed Delivered for Christmas where Oliver and Shane and Rita and Norman celebrate Christmas as husbands and wives?
ReplyDeleteChris, Obviously, we don't know, yet, but any new SSD movie would be wonderful, especially Christmas!!! :)
