During the Great American Family premiere of "Identical Love" on Saturday night, the network shared a sneak peek of an upcoming Christmas movie in one of the commercial breaks. This new movie is titled "Destined at Christmas" and stars Shae Robins ("Identical Love") and Casey Elliott ("Retreat to Paradise"). The film's production company is Candlelight Media Group, who also produced "Identical Love," "Love, Lost, and Found," "Love's Portrait," "Hot Chocolate Holiday" and others.
"Destined at Christmas" storyline via Candlelight Media Group:
"Kim and Theo meet in the midst of Black Friday shopping madness but there’s a definite spark between them. When a power outage causes some panic at a store, the couple gets separated. With Christmas coming, there should be plenty of distractions but neither Kim nor Theo can forget the other. Both yearn to find each other but how with so little information to go on? It’ll take a little Christmas magic and destiny to bring them back together."
More details are sure to be released by Great American Family regarding when we can expect this movie to premiere this Christmas season. Stay tuned for that!
In the meantime, check out this trailer for "Destined at Christmas":

I think "Destined at Christmas" looks like a fun, refreshing, lighthearted movie! The story made me think of "Prescription of Love" somewhat, in the way he was searching for the mysterious woman in the elevator. After viewing this trailer, I can't wait to see this movie this upcoming Christmas season! Do you feel the same? Please share in comments below.
Blessings on your day, Net
Initially the plot looked really good and Casey Elliott looks to be playing a much nicer character than he did in Retreat To Paradise.
ReplyDeleteI was enjooying the Trailer and then came the clip with the young girl.
Interestingly in real life she has the same surname as Casey - I wonder are they related? - in the movie they have the same surname too.
I'll have to wait and see but if this is another single father who has been married before it has just ruined this for me.
My least favourite plot - Florence
Casey and Shae are good friends of mine. Yes, that is Casey’s daughter. Looking forward to it.
DeleteThank you, friend of Casey and Shae, for sharing this info with us. The scenes with Casey and his daughter look very sweet.
DeleteI'm also looking forward to seeing their new movie together this Christmas. Looks like a fun, somewhat unique, storyline! :)
Gee, I wonder if they'll find each other? LOL
ReplyDeleteKeith, You made me laugh - thank you for commenting! :)
DeleteI'm just hoping they find each other a little before the last 5 minutes. Otherwise, it looks like it will be a fun search!
sounds promising
ReplyDeleteI wonder next sneak peeks of the movies & Christmas movies on GAF in upcoming Saturday nights during watching those new movies @ 8pm ET/5pm PT
ReplyDeleteWhat’s new movies in October just before Countdown to Christmas on October 28, 2022 to December 2022, although if there’s New Years Eve movies?
Just FYI- Casey is part of a pretty amazing singing trio. Thought you might enjoy hearing some of their music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4fvMgNfN0I
ReplyDeleteBarbaloot, Thank you for sharing this video with us! Your timing is perfect. I had just read a comment from someone on social media who said they hoped both Casey Elliott and Shae Robins sang in the movie since they had beautiful voices. Both actors are fairly new to me - so I had no idea about their singing.
DeleteI'm so glad you shared this touching music video. Casey has such an incredible voice; I'll have to be sure and check out more of their videos.
Now I'm hoping they both have a chance to sing in the movie, too! :)
Friend of Cassie and Shae here that commented above. I’m glad someone else mentioned Casey’s trio. They are amazing. Fun fact: Shae’s husband is also part of that trio. They met while performing Les Mis at a local theater.
DeleteThat is so cool! I'm so glad you shared that *fun fact* with us.
DeleteThis one does have an interesting story plot. I don’t remember any dealing with Black Friday. I think I’ll watch this one! Hope they do it justice.
ReplyDeleteI agree - the Black Friday story angle sounds very intriguing. Wonder if they plan to premiere it that weekend?
DeleteGot some new info on Candace's first new movie for GAF: It's called 'A Christmas Present', and it'll start filming next month in Tulsa OK. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, That is great news! Hope Great American Family shares some details on this before or during filming. I know many are excited to hear more.
DeleteNet, What’s about Danica McKellar’s Christmas movies?
ReplyDeleteI know she's doing a Christmas movie for Great American Family, but I don't have any further details I can share, just yet. I do my best to work with the networks and give them the chance to announce first.
DeleteHonestly, as excited as I am for Chabert's Hawaii-set movie and all the details we've learned about Groundswell so far, really this whole weekend has reminded me that we are inches away from this season's Christmas movie schedule. It's going to be a big year for Christmas fans, with multiple networks to look toward.
ReplyDeleteFor its part, GAC family has already announced that holiday programming will begin in earnest at the end of October. Tis nearly the season, and holiday movies can't come soon enough.
