π΄π "Retreat to Paradise - Family friendly. I enjoyed this lighthearted rom-com. At first, I wasn’t certain about Jordan’s attitude. He warmed up a little when he revealed his insecurities; however, Jordan faltered some near the end. Eventually, he came around again, and I could feel the chemistry between Jordan and his therapist, Ellie. Overall, a sweet movie with beautiful scenery and a happy ending." ~Net

Movie Reviews:
π΄π "Identical Love was better than I expected. Beautifully shot and pretty well acted. I actually liked the connection between the widow and ophthalmologist maybe a little bit more than the doctor and dentist, but appreciated how they handled the difficulty of dating your ex-fiance's twin brother." ~Anonymous
π΄π "Identical Love is such a great movie! Beatiful location, a lot of kindness and love!" ~Oksanka
π΄π "Identical Love is family friendly. There’s Bible Verse on the table. Elijah calls off the wedding with Charlotte. Dr. Charlotte Hudson Ph.D takes Dr. Lewis’ place so, she can go to tropical islands calls “The Philippines”, when she signs up to volunteer in a health clinic in a tropical country. When she meets Henry owns Ariana Sallow Medical Foundation? There’s only 3 doctors including Charlotte, Dr. Maya Solis OD, eye doctor, & Dr. Seth Adkins, Dentist. Charlotte sees Elijah there but Henry says Dr. Seth Adkins, a Dentist. Charlotte & Seth knew each other. Seth tells Maya that Charlotte was Seth’s Twin Brother’s former fiancΓ©e. Seth & Charlotte have horseback riding & take some pictures while their horses on the break. Charlotte takes a second chance of love for Seth. Henry Sallow is widowed when Maya talks with Henry. Seth tells Henry that Matters of the Heart. Seth & Charlotte try to get along because Charlotte thought about Seth’s Twin Brother; Elijah. Could Charlotte love Elijah’s Twin Brother; Seth, who he is? Seth get bracelet for Charlotte at the market. Seth tells Charlotte that it’s only thing that matter to me is you. When Seth kisses his Twin Brother’s former fiancΓ©e; Charlotte. Henry, Maya, Seth, & Charlotte go somewhere else where’s the patients waiting." ~Anonymous
π΄π "Watched Identical Love and really enjoyed a fresh new storyline." ~Anonymous
π΄π "Identical Love is wonderful!" -Maria
π΄π "Identical Love - Family friendly and sweet! I definitely felt a spark between Charlotte and Seth. It was handled in such a gentle, sensitive way, considering she was previously engaged to his twin brother. It was beautiful to see both Charlotte and Seth helping people in remote areas with poor circumstances with their medical needs. The setting was gorgeous. Overall, a very nice movie I’ll enjoy seeing whenever it repeats on Great American Family." ~Net
π΄π "Identical Love isn't a bad movie at all but it could have been so much better. I enjoyed Mason Davis although I had some reservations about Shae Robins. Of course she had a part to play and I couldn't even begin to imagine how it would feel to be jilted on your wedding day. However Seth had no resonsibility for Elijah's actions and while it would obviously be embarrassing to meet up with him again why should you judge him for his brother and treat him pretty shabbily? Moreover looking at it objectively perhaps Elijah was really loth to actually break-up and kept putting it off but if he had realised they weren't really suited wasn't it far better not to go through with the wedding instead of breaking up down the line when children might be involved? Of course he should have called things off far sooner. The highlight of the movie was the scenery which was magnificent and I really enjoyed the gentle burgeoning romance between Scott Christopher and Shona Kay as Henry and Maya two other members of the team and it was heartwarming to see the medical care they all provided to so many. While I don't personally like it where one of the parties has been married before in this case they both had so I don't mind it as things are evened up! The big problem for me is that I don't feel the issues are resolved at the end For most of the movie Charlotte was still struggling with her feelings for Elijah and even close to the end when Seth attempted to kiss her she turned away and was obviously still in thrall to her ex. Does Charlotte really love Seth or is she forcing herself into believing she does? I think Elijah should have mase a re-appearance so she could have made a definitive choice (for Seth of course)! In fact although personally I'm not a fan of sequels (e.g. The NIne Kittens Of Christmas totally destroyed what was one of Hallmark's all time best movies Nine Lives Of Christmas which had the most perfect and best ending of any of their movies) I do believe this one of the few which cries out for one. There is so much scope. Seth and Charlotte could return home and Elijah re-enter the picture deciding he had made the biggest mistake of his life and make a play for Charlotte's affections again trying to throw spanners into the works. We could see the angst Seth would go through and at the end Charlotte could realise who the better man was whom she truly loved and choose Seth without reservation. I would rate this movie a 6 which is a reasonablr score but it had so much untapped potential" – Florence

πΉ "Review: ‘Love In Bloom’ is an awesome romantic comedy on Great American Family Amelia Hart (Susie Abromeit) has a picture-perfect life: a successful floristry in Chicago and a boyfriend who is about to propose. When her soon-to-be-married little sister and fiancΓ© become marooned at a mountain retreat days before their wedding in Primrose River Australia, Amelia, and the best man, a vet named Grayson Tanner (Julian Haig), are tasked with stepping in to save the wedding. Most of the story underscores the values of love and having an affinity for wildlife and the animals in nature. Amelia finds new meaning in the town’s beautiful gardens, and love, when she least expects it. This story is quite inspirational, and hopefully, it will stimulate fans and viewers to form stronger bonds in their personal lives and foster harmony in their relationships. The film’s musical score certainly helps elevate it to a higher level. It’s a neat story about protagonist Amelia Hart finding herself, and it is very warm, poignant, and relatable. It has all the ingredients and it pays a fitting tribute to the timeless and nostalgic romantic comedy. The cinematography is stunning, and the Australian culture and wildlife featured in the film are an added bonus. Susie Abromeit and Julian Haig did an excellent job portraying the female and male leads in the film. Veteran actress Monette Lee was marvelous as the witty and sensational Mrs. Popp, while iconic Australian actor Steven Tandy was remarkable in a subtle performance as Mr. Poppy. Melinda Vidler (Bonnie) and Jason Wilder (Jake) gave viewers yet another quintessential love story within the movie. Equally noteworthy were Lin Yin as Piper and Artin John as Peter respectively. some visually striking scenery and some of the most magnificent animals on the globe." ~Anonymous

ReplyDeleteBut where's Prescription For Love and Love In Bloom?
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can remember this was maybe an average movie.
I don't remember it being family unfriendly but then a couple of years ago small things might have passed you by.
I do remember I found the male lead particularly obnoxious at the beginning and he didn't really redeem himself for me - Florence

Retreat to Paradise
ReplyDeleteAccording to the IMDb synopsis, Ellie Vaughn (Stone) is tasked to help international tennis star, Jordan Greer (Elliott) recover from a potentially career-ending injury. This is not easy, as the athlete is cantankerous. Moreover, between the shoulder injury, and the uncertainty of his future, he is taking it out on Ellie.
Therefore, he is not open to the sorts of rehabilitation that Ellie suggests. Part of the problem is the pain. He just wants to be alone in his misery. Also, he is not motivated. However, Ellie knows how to turn around a patient like this.
More so, his longtime coach Neal (Krause) has faith that Jordan can overcome this. He wants to see the star work through this difficult situation.
Soon, Ellie & Jordan start to work together, and he begins to recover. He is even beginning to think that he will have his life and career back. Yet, is Ellie interested in being part of that as well?
Yay! Finally, a new movie!
