๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒดAloha! It's Official: Lacey Chabert to Star in Hallmark Movie ‘Groundswell’ - filmed in Hawaii๐ŸŒด๐ŸŒบ

Deadline made this Hallmark movie announcement today: "EXCLUSIVE: Lacey Chabert (Christmas at Castle Heart) and Ektor Rivera (Sugar Plum Twist) are set to lead the Hallmark film Groundswell. The project is set to premiere on August 21 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Groundswell is an adaptation of Katie Lee Biegel’s debut novel. Beigel serves as executive producer on the project and will make a cameo appearance.

In Groundswell, on the heels of a personal and professional setback, Atlanta chef Emma (Chabert) travels to Hawaii where she meets Ben (Rivera), a handsome, reclusive surf instructor whose lessons help her to regain her footing."

My Quick Take:

Finally, this movie is officially announced by Hallmark today, although, many of us have known about it for some time now. Lacey Chabert shared the above image on her Instagram on their 8th day of filming in Hawaii.

Over the years... Lacey has starred in many destination type movies on Hallmark - from Italy ("Christmas in Rome") to Romania ("A Royal Christmas") to Africa ("Love on Safari")! Hope this one is just as good as all of those! What is your favorite Lacey Chabert destination movie, thus far? Mine would have to be "Love, Romance, and Chocolate" with Will Kemp, which was filmed in Belgium.

Happy movie watching! Net ๐ŸŒบ

  4. I REALLY miss mystery movies.....Hallmark has produced VERY few new ones....I like Lacey very much...but instead of yet another Rom-Com---I wish she would be in a mystery...Crossword Mysteries were ok....another couple of installments would be fine...or another mystery altogether....Done watching Hallmark except for Christmas movies or until they run new mystery series....all the non-Christmas Rom-Coms are the same over and over again ......many of the Christmas ones are too...but for me Christmas adds enough to at least watch one once...
