Movie: When Love Blooms
Network: BYU
Original Air Date: March 25, 2022 at 1pm/12c.
Starring: Sarah Power and Thomas Cadrot
Storyline via BYU:
Risk management analyst Ann Keller's world is full of facts and figures. Just as she hopes to add some creativity back into her life, her father Tom has a minor accident and Ann winds up back in her hometown of Franklin Heights, a place she left years before in pursuit of a career in the big city. During her stay, Ann discovers that Tom has secretly become a competitive flower arranger and was set to compete in the upcoming 'Botanic Cup'. Deciding the best way to help him out - and scratch her creative itch - they both agree that Ann, through a loophole in the competition rules, will participate on her dad's behalf with the help of Aaron Blum, Franklin Heights charming resident florist. Its big city versus small town as Ann and Aaron put their opposing perspectives aside. Their effort pays off, with Ann qualifying for the final round of the competition, ultimately leading to a newfound friendship and a chance for them to compete in the finals. And much like a flower bud thriving in the right environment, Ann and Aaron's time together cultivates into a blooming romance.
Movie Review:
💮 "If you really, really enjoy flowers, then you might enjoy When Love Blooms, because nearly every scene is about arranging flowers for a big competition. As a risk management analyst, Ann Keller (played by Sarah Power, “Nantucket Noel”) is rather persnickety; she has trouble making up her mind, even in inconsequential situations, such as: picking something to eat for lunch or ice cream flavors. Ann returns to her hometown after her father injures his arm and takes his place in a flower arranging competition, titled the “Botanic Cup”. She really has no idea about flower arranging, but her partner, Aaron Blum, an ex-football player, is the town’s florist, so he teaches her. This movie is mostly family-friendly; however, I have one caution on dialogue. Aaron eventually reveals his former partner in the flower competition was his ex, and he makes a brief comment that implies that he formerly lived with his ex-girlfriend. He says, "love doesn’t lock you out of the house at 2am in only your bath robe." That’s the only questionable content I recall. The chemistry between the leads, in my opinion, is a little stiff, and Aaron’s side project at the florist shop is a bit odd. Even though I do love flowers, this was just an okay one time watch for me." ~Net

Really looking forward to this but the big question, of course, is whether BYU will actually air it on the advised date!!
ReplyDeleteQuite worrying that Incendo has had nothing "in production" for quite a few months now. - Florence
looks cute
ReplyDeleteThank you. Too bad it may be one I skip.

Some interesting news re.BYU-TV and Incendo.
ReplyDeleteIncendo haven't had anything in the pipeline for some months - the last movie in production being Be Mine, Valentine way back last year.
I thought that BYU might air this last month although I suppose it could be shown at any time of year.
However it would appear that this has been aired somewhere else as I have seen copies for sale on the internet.
BYU have now screened Farmer Seeking Love and When Love Blooms although there were a couple of movies before that which they haven't shown.
I'm wondering if BYU won't show Be Mine, Valentine because it is NOT family-friendly?
They seem to me to be a channel which wouldn't.
It's one to avoid for most here.
An events planner is hired by a guy to plan his proposal for his boyfriend - the male lead is the brother of the boyfriend.
It's a pity about this for Kaitlyn Leeb and Brendon Zub look like a good match up.
I like Brendon - we've seen him in quite a few secondary roles at Hallmark - Florence
Florence, Thank you for the information on "Be Mine, Valentine." That's too bad. I wondered why BYU didn't air this movie in February. That would definitely explain it. I'll be sure to keep this in mind - in case another network plays this later on.
DeleteIs this the movie you mentioned is currently on Tubi or is it another one from Reel One?
The Reel One movie which is assigned to Tubi is entitled 10 Truths About Love starring Camilla Belle and David Lafontaine - it looks to have been added to Reel One's site towards the end of last year.
ReplyDeleteI don't know where Be Mine, Valentine has been shown - Florence
I don't know whether TUBI is airing it yet because when I click on the link you provide it's coming up:
Coming soon - we are currently re-launching TUBI in your area
I don't know whether TUBI
Florence, Thank you for the info. I tried to search the title, but it doesn't come up, yet. Maybe it will be available in April. I'm not sure why you received that message when you visited the site. So strange. I wasn't logged in, so I was hoping you all could see the available family movie titles. Sorry it didn't work for you.
DeleteNet and Florence, here's a way that worked for me to access "10 Truths About Love" on Tubi: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=10+truths+about+love+tubi&t=brave&ia=web
DeleteIn the first few minutes, there's more skin (yoga outfit) than we're used to on Hallmark/UP, but I hope the rest is good!
