  1. There is a place beyond earth. It's being with Christ in glory. And what a wonderful, gracious gift.

Can I ask you to pray for my dad, he just suffered a heart attack. I am grateful that he knows and loves the Lord.

    2. Abigail, if your Dad has heart attack, he has to drink plenty water

A study in the American Journal of Medical Epidemiology found that participants “who drink five or more glasses of plain water per day have a much lower risk of fatal coronary heart disease, compared to those who drink less than two glasses per day.” It's even more important to drink before bed because it helps improve ...

    5. Anonymous, I agree! Water is essential to our overall good health, and as I'm sure you would agree, drinking coffee or sugary drinks doesn't count. Thank you for sharing this great health tip. We all need this reminder to get in our hydration for the day. It's easy to get busy and neglect that important step.

Bless you for caring and sharing! :)

    6. Net, Kitkat, and Anonymous,
Words can not express how thankful I am for all of you. This has been so hard and reading your words uplifted my day. Thank you all for caring so much!

My family and I are praising God. He is so good! He was there(and still is)when we needed Him and brought us all together through prayer, and grown closer to Him. I am overwhelmed by Christ's kindness.

My dad just came home, they put in a stent, but only 25% of his heart is working. He is wearing a defibrillator that will turn on only if he is unconscious, for 3 months. Praying that his heart regains strength or he'll need a pace maker. -Thankful that my mom saw the signs before it was too late. My dad even had lots of opportunities to tell the Gospel to doctors and nurses. Hearing him play hymns on the piano this morning felt so good.

      God bless you all!❤

    7. Abigail, I am so happy to hear your good news! It sounds like you've had a quite the ordeal; what a blessing that your dad was able to come home - that is often better than any medicine. I will keep on praying that he keeps on improving. We know God gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. (Isaiah 40:29) How beautiful that he was playing hymns this morning on the piano. What a precious way to praise His name and say thank you for seeing him through this.

You and your dad, and all of your family, will continue to be in my prayers. God bless you!

    8. Amen Net! Thanks Abigail for the good news! I will keep all of you in my prayers for his healing to continue. God is so good! Praise the Lord!

Abigail, I want to share a short testimony with you. My dad had a heart attack and he was very young; I was just a kid. He was dying in ICU so they made my mom leave the room. My precious mom fell on her knees in that waiting room and cried out to God to please bring my dad back, even if for a little while. My dad lived many years after that. I was with my mom and witnessed this. We know we received a miracle that day! Hope this encourages you.

    9. kitkat! Oh my... that is miraculous! God is so Good! Wow! That is such an incredible event that happened for your dad. I can only imagine how that moment has empowered your faith throughout the years. I love that your mom wasn't willing to just give up and she cried out to the Lord. That is such an impactful story - bless you and thank you for sharing it with us! I think you must be a lot like your momma - a precious, mighty prayer warrior! :)

    10. Thank you Net and Kitkat. It means so much to me that you are still praying. Bless you! I hear my mom exercising him now. Walking and singing around the 1st floor of the house. ;)

Thanks for sharing your story about your dad and your mom's beautiful faith. What a wonderful mother you had! Praise the Lord for His everlasting mercies! My dad is young-ish ;) 55 years old and hearing about your dad did encourage me, so I really appreciate it. He is very special to me.

When I was 13 years, my biological father abandoned my mom, my 12 yr. brother, and 11 month old sister. I was a daddy's girl so it was hard. He pretended to be a Christian, so it was a shock for mr. My mom was a say at home mom, so she didn't have a job. You know the verse, all things work for good for those who love the Lord. God saved me during that awful time. We were reading in Psalm 37 and Matthew every night, reading about the crucifixion, because it made us feel better to know we we not the only ones who suffered. Reading that I realized that I was a sinner and that I could not save myself. I blurted out to my mom "I'm afraid I'm going to Hell!" And my mom smiled and told me Christ already paid for my sins and helped me pray to repent and trust in His blood.

Later, my mom met my dad on a Reformed Courting site. He married my mom(who came with a package deal) and loves and provides for us. I don't know anyone who loves and trusts the Lord more than him. He has helped me to grow and live a godly life. I am so grateful God sent him to us. He has been my true father for 13 years now(feels like forever) and I cherish every second of it. He will be the man who walks me down the isle one day....and tomorrow he will lead us in worship and devotions, same as usual. God is so good!

    11. Abigail - The Lord sure works in amazing ways! Thank you for sharing your story with us. I pray it will be a source of encouragement for others, in the way that kitkat encouraged you.

I love the way you talk about your dad. He sounds like a wonderful man and very much reminds me of Joseph, in the way he became an earthly father for Jesus.

I am so glad God completed your family by bringing him to your mother!

      Blessings to you! Net

  2. Hallmark's viewers have been consistently low all year...why won't anyone write an article on that?

  3. This sounds like an interesting premise and I'm so excited to see Daniel Lissing in his own movie again. I love A December Christmas, which I think was his last Christmas movie. ~ Jennifer R.

    2. My cable provider has the following nerwork movie premieres listed for GACFAMILY so far: “An Hour Behind” before the Christmas special on 10/16. “Coffee Shop” has its network premiere on 10/17. GACLIVING has what looks like may be a movie on 10/18: “Blonde Ambition”. It looks like at least one may be inspirational and maybe, a couple may have had ties to Hallmark in some way at one time. Of course, as we all know, this is tentative until they air.

    3. Hi! Sorry...I am the one who wrote what may be broadcast over the weekend and early next week on GAC Networks. I wanted to clarify one thing and list some other options for similar movies. When I said at least one movie may be inspirational, that meant faith-based. If you are looking for faith-based movies (romantic or otherwise), see if you have Posiuv TV. It is a network that has almost all movies and may have connections to TBN Network. The movie “Heaven is for Real” is scheduled to be broadcast on Saturday and Sunday on Lifetime. Yes, Lifetime. This network has also broadcast the inspirational/faith-based movie “Miracles from Heaven”. I believe these movies have also appeared on BYU (which makes more sense). However, J am sure not everyone has both networks so just wanted you to know that sometimes you can find a “diamond in the rough” on Lifetime at other times besides Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, it appears Lifetime Christmas movies will continue this Friday night and then next Thursday and Friday nights. So, as of now, it appears that perhaps, they won’t broadcast their version of “24/7 movies” until after their first 2021 Christmas movie premieres. Hope this helps!

    4. I always find it fascinating when Lifetime changes gears completely and airs a faith-based type movie. I mean, it's definitely not in their typical wheelhouse, but it's a pleasant change. If I had to guess, I bet it's to help promote their upcoming inspirational themed films, such as: "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story" and the new "Highway to Heaven" movie.

Thank you also for mentioning about Lifetime playing Christmas movies! I will definitely look into that! 'Tis the Season!!!! :)

    5. Net, Thanks! I completely forgot that you had shared information about the movies you mentioned. I went back and reread the post. You are right; “Heaven is for Real” airs right before the movie about Kristine Carlson. Thanks again!

  5. Jesse Metcalfe Joins Dennis Quaid, Heather Graham in Faith-Based Drama ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Jesse Metcalfe has signed on for MGM and Lightworkers’ new faith-based family drama “On a Wing and a Prayer,” starring opposite Dennis Quaid and Heather Graham.

Based on a true story, Quaid stars as Doug White, who’s forced to fly a plane after the pilot dies unexpectedly mid-flight.

The movie is the latest production from MGM’s Lightworkers — the company, founded by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, is behind “The Bible” miniseries and MGM and Paramount’s contemporary “Ben-Hur” adaptation. Downey will produce the movie alongside Autumn Bailey-Ford, with Burnett serving as an executive producer. Directed by Sean McNamara from a screenplay by Brian Egeston, “On a Wing and a Prayer” is currently in production and slated for release on Aug. 31, 2022.

After kicking off his career with heartthrob roles on “Passions,” “Desperate Housewives” and the 2006 hit teen comedy “John Tucker Must Die,” Metcalfe has found massive success on the family-friendly circuit and become a fan-favorite on Hallmark. In August, the actor wrapped up a five-season run on the network’s hugely popular drama “Chesapeake Shores,” where he’d played singer-songwriter Trace Riley since the show’s 2016 debut. Metcalfe also recently starred in and executive produced “Ships in the Night: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery,” the latest installment in the “Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries” film series, and had a leading role in “Christmas Under the Stars,” opposite Autumn Reeser and Clarke Peters.

On the big screen, the actor recently reunited with Bruce Willis (with whom he starred in last year’s action-thriller “Hard Kill”) for Lionsgate’s “Fortress,” which will be released in December. Additional film credits include “Dead Rising: Endgame,” “Escape Plan 2: Hades,” “The Ninth Passenger” and “God’s Not Dead 2.” Metcalfe is represented by Untitled Management, Gersh and The Initiative Group.

Founded in 2011 by Emmy-nominated actor and producer Downey and Burnett, MGM’s Lightworkers is the banner behind numerous television series and films, including the Emmy-nominated “The Bible,” which has gone on to spawn multiple feature film adaptations, including “Resurrection” (which debuted on Discovery Plus in March 2021), as well as the 2015 NBC miniseries “A.D. The Bible Continues.” Lightworkers also produced the Lifetime series “The Women of the Bible,” CBS’ “The Dovekeepers” and TLC’s “Answered Prayers,” plus the feature films “Little Boy” for Open Road Films, “Woodlawn” for Pure Flix, and “Messiah” and “Country Ever After” for Netflix.

    1. That is wonderful news for Jesse Metcalfe! So happy to hear. He was wonderful in "God's Not Dead 2," so it's great to see him take on a faith-based movie again.

Wonder what this means for his future with the "Martha's Vineyard" mysteries, though? I like the drama movies they've been playing recently, but I also enjoy the mysteries too, and many of them had stories that were left unfinished. I sure hope we see more of the mysteries continue on HMM.

  6. Jesse was awesome in God's Not Dead 2. He should have gotten an award for his acting. If this new movie, On A Wing And A Prayer, is even close to God's Not Dead 2, we are in for some wonderful entertainment.

Net, I hope his mysteries continue too. Jesse Metcalfe is one of the best.
