Sisters Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams' Hallmark Christmas Movies Revealed! SEE HERE:

It's official! People has revealed exclusively- actresses and real-life sisters, Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams, will portray sisters in two original Hallmark Channel Christmas movies later this year: "Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday" and "Sister Swap: Christmas in the City."

I first reported this movie news with the Williams sisters here at It's a Wonderful Movie back in 2018! At that time, the working title was: "Lights, Camera, Christmas" Part 1 and Part 2. Over time it became "Christmas at the Madison" Part 1 and Part 2 and now, finally, we have the two new official titles above!

Both actresses have had their share of Hallmark movies, but this is the first time they are working together, which they say is a dream come true! Ashley Williams has starred in the "Christmas in Evergreen" series of films, plus "Northern Lights of Christmas," "Holiday Hearts," etc... Kimberly has also starred in several Hallmark movies with "Hallmark Hall of Fame's The Christmas Train," "A Nashville Christmas Carol," plus, the mystery series "Darrow and Darrow."

People is reporting... "In the two Sister Swap films, Williams-Paisley and Williams play Jennifer and Meg Swift, two sisters "who couldn't be closer despite living hours apart," according to the release from the network. "Jennifer is in Salt Lake City, running a successful restaurant she started with her late husband and raising her teenaged son Simon (Jacob Buster, Ballers), Meg stayed in their hometown of Hazelwood, helping their parents run the local bakery." The two films will be connected, with one movie focused on the story of Jennifer returning to her hometown, while the other tells Meg's tale of traveling to Salt Lake to help Jennifer's restaurant staff prepare for a Christmas competition among local restaurants."

I think it will be fun to see these two Sisters, who have bubbly personalities, in this 2 part Christmas movies series! Also starring with the Williams sisters, are Mark Deklin ("Meet Me at Christmas") and Keith D. Robinson ("Redemption in Cherry Springs").

Be sure to look for these Christmas movies - when Hallmark begins their holiday programming on October 22nd!

Joyous Blessings! Net

  1. Will Sister Swap:A Hometown Holiday and Sister Swap: Christmas in the City will be the same as Switched for Christmas?

    1. Chris, It almost gives that idea, doesn't it? But... since they are not twins, they can't literally change places. I think they simply get the chance to see what life is like for the other sibling - when they visit.

  2. This sounds like such a fun, unique concept for Christmas! And I’ve got to imagine they will be family-family too.

  3. This is exciting and disappointing. Why must they persist to have interracial couples? It’s better than the alternative, I guess. Just pray it is family-friendly.

    1. Yes! I did see that! I was going to share it when I thought it was going to air on the Food Network, but like you said, I guess it's going to premiere only on streaming - Discovery +. I'm kind of hoping they will eventually play it on Food Network, too! From what I've seen so far it looks cute and Ree is always fun on her show.

The Food Network star, 52, will appear in her first-ever acting role in the upcoming holiday movie Candy Coated Christmas, which will mark the first original film for Discovery+.

Drummond will appear in the movie as the owner of a bakery in the fictional town of Peppermint Hollow, the peppermint capitol of the world. Candy Coated Christmas also stars Molly McCook (Last Man Standing), Aaron O'Connell (The Haves and The Have Nots), Jae Suh Park (The Big Short) and John McCook (The Bold and the Beautiful).

There, she meets Drummond's Bee, a bakery owner who introduces her to "the friendly denizens that reside in the Peppermint Capitol of the world."

Peppermint Hollow is Molly's mother's hometown, and she's invited to stay in her mother's childhood home by the family that currently lives there, offering "her a lost connection to her own childhood memories and the possibility for a newly 'minted' business begins to take shape."

Drummond called her first acting experience a "magical" one.

Candy Coated Christmas was so much fun to be part of; it had all the magical elements that make holiday movies so special," she said in a statement. "Any initial nerves I felt about joining this project completely melted away when I stepped into the sweet, charming world of Peppermint Hollow!"

The upcoming holiday flick was written by Alex Yonks, Joey Plager and Ellie Kanner, who also directed. It is produced by MarVista Entertainment in association with Go Films.

Kanner and Plager are also executive producers, alongside Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew for MarVista Entertainment.
