ETonline is exclusively reporting another new Hallmark Christmas movie premiere – starring Heather Hemmens (Hallmark’s Love, Take Two) and Luke Macfarlane (Hallmark’s Chateau Christmas). The two will star in a music-themed holiday film, Christmas in My Heart, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
According to the article: “Hemmens plays Beth, a concert violinist who recently lost her mom, while Macfarlane portrays Sean, a country music star still grieving his wife's death.” Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph (Hallmark's Christmas Comes Twice) will portray Luke Macfarlane’s mother-in-law, Ruthie.

More Christmas movie news to come... stay tuned!

I like the synopsis of the movie! Looking forward to this one.

Sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know if I can watch anything with Luke Macfarlane anymore after the announcement of the movie he will be filming for Universal.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way, Jennifer.
DeleteLuke Macfarlane has also been cast to star opposite Billy Eichner in a rom-com movie called “Bros.” that is being made by Universal, Deadline reported. This movie is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on August 22, 2022.
DeleteThis movie sounds depressing.
ReplyDeleteLooks like another hallmark woke movie. Not interested.
ReplyDeleteI used to love Luke Macfarlane but then found out he is starring in a gay rom-com. So disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering when we would start seeing information on 2021 Christmas movies. Thank you
ReplyDeleteNot a good start for me.
ReplyDeleteI know it's my problem but I personally just don't like movies where one of the lead actors has been married before - Florence
Christmas in My Heart is a new title for Love Song for Noel
ReplyDeleteReally not looking forward to Hallmark Christmas. Just saw there is a Christmas House 2 being filmed, not sure why as this movie was the 3rd lowest rated movie of the season. Not sure why you would make a part 2 of such a low rated movie, unless it is for wokeness.
ReplyDeleteI predict Hallmark will get its lowest ratings ever this year. The HMM movies are drawing almost as many as HM channel at this current time.
Sabrina
Sabrina, I saw that over the weekend too. Guess, at least, we know which one to skip.
DeleteI think you are right about ratings. It will never be like it was - they make way too many so it isn't special any more. I don't think I'll be watching as many this year as I have in the past.
I am not really looking forward to see The Christmas House 2 since The Christmas House is terrible.
DeleteHe has starred in a TV dhow as a guy character. So, I am not surprised to see him do so again. In fact, there are several Hallmark actors that have starred in gay themed movies.
ReplyDeleteMisty
Would you like to see a Hallmark Christmas movie either on Hallmark Channel or Hallmark Movies and Mysteries where that movie takes place in a church where the families in the movie goes to church service if that is a Catholic church goes to Christmas mass?
ReplyDeleteI would not mind. I always find it strange when it seems like those with a strong faith are not shown on Hallmark.

Luke Macfarlane is an openly gay actor.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm honest I'd have to say he's good but I do feel a bit uncomfortable when a gay actor plays the lead role in a Romance movie.
I'm very apprehensive about what this year might bring.
We had to make a difficult decision last year - if we didn't watch any movies with same sex relationships then there would be many we wouldn't see so we decided to read reviews before watching and were just about happy where they weren't the main theme nor "in-your-face"
I would have to say that Spotlight On Christmas with Kimberley Sustad and Paul Campbell was one of the very best of all although what wasn't pleasing was that the same sex relationship meant nothing overall in the movie and just seemed to have been included for the sake of it -why bother?
There were only a couple of movies we ddidn't watch - one on Lifetime which was about an openly gay couple and The Christmas House where the gay brother was central to the plot.
We had enjoyed Robert Buckley in a couple of movies he had previously made.
We certainly won't be watching Christmas House 2 and as Sabrina says it's decidedly odd that you would want to make a sequel to one of the lowest rated films.
Speaking of Kimberley Sustad I've just read that they're currently filming the follow up to Nine Lives Of Christmas which is called Nine Kittens Of Christmas and is tentatively scheduled for November 25.
I don't know what to think of this.
Most would agree that Nine Lives Of Christmas is one of Hallmarks' best ever films (not just Christmas) and had one of the best ever Hallmark endings.
In some ways I don't see the point of a sequel - Florence
Florence, I know exactly what you mean. I'm not sure I'm excited about a sequel to "Nine Lives of Christmas" either. I know I should be, but I loved everything about the way it ended originally - so I don't want anything to ruin that.
DeleteAlso, it is so hard to separate the actors from the characters they play. Once I learn certain things about the actors on social media, etc... it's hard not to think about those things while I'm watching them portray another character. I also get that uncomfortable feeling; I think I'll be skipping many more movies this year than in years past.
Luke Macfarlane has not been watched by me since forever. Read some info about him a long time ago that made me decide he would not be on my TV screen.
