  3. This is an interesting development but there could be many repercusions from this.

Could a lot of current Hallmark regulars go in this direction?

Would Hallmark still air new movies by them or maybe rush headlong in a direction we don't wish?

All we can do is wait and see.

But I think the situation is really worrying - Florence

    1. Florence, I know what you mean. It does make one wonder what choices will be made. However, if GAC Family has great ratings with their family friendly programming while Hallmark's go down, this may mean a push (I hope and pray!) back towards family friendly content - over the worldly woke indoctrinations.

    1. Sabrina, So far - I only see that we have GAC on DirectTV, which will become GAC Family. It doesn't look like we have Ride-TV, yet... but I'm hoping they will pick it up - eventually!

  7. We celebrate the life of Ed Asner. He entertained us for decades and we were honored to have him appear in "The Christmas Card" and the "All of My Heart" movies.

If he starred in Follow Me to Daisy Hill

  10. Will Jen Lilley ever do a signature Mysteries Movie on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries?

    1. Chris, Excellent questions! My guess is yes on the Christmas movie for Hallmark, but we will have to wait and see. I do wonder what Hallmark's reaction will be - with her doing this movie for GAC.

Plenty of Hallmark actors do movies for Lifetime, too, so this shouldn't be any different.

  11. GAC website has no schedule listed for Sep 27th so I wouldnt assume that GAC Family will be a separate channel as it could be the regular GAC channel with a changed name of GAC Family. I wouldn't doubt that they may do the same with Ride channel.

    1. tvh - That's the way I see it, too. GAC will become GAC Family on September 27th and the same with Ride TV becoming GAC Living. Those channels are basically being replaced.

The Hallmark Channel did the same thing years ago with the Odyssey Network when they took over the channel on August 5, 2001.

  12. Do you know when the channel will come back on verizon? Or is there a way to find out?

    1. I'm not sure why verizon dropped the the GAC channel on August 1st. You should try calling them to ask them to bring it back. That sometimes helps.

    1. Jacb, that's it - exactly! You should currently see shows like Tiny House, Big Living, First Time Flippers, Bonanza, etc... until they officially take it over on September 27th.

Glad to hear you are excited about this news, too!
